Ghostly wind howled, crashing against the gray old ruins. The air itself was full of eerie fear. Any who thought they were sane, would swear that they saw apparitions among the stone. None strong enough could bear staying the night in such a cold and frightening place.
The perfect place to met a fellow cell mate from some years ago......
A tall cloaked figure strode confidently through the mist that surrounded the aged citadel. She walked with a staff in one hand, held horizontally, ready to be thrown if need be. She stopped in the middle of the ruin, looking slowly about. Nothing stirred, save the weeds when pushed by the wind. Green eyes peered out from underneath the hood. The woman looked up at one high stone. Tall it was, almost as tall as a pine. She went to it, looked up, bent her knees, and leapt up. Her free hand, suddenly with long claws, grasped the stone, tightly. With her other hand, she strapped the staff to her back, and continued to climb until she reached the flat top. She sat there on the edge and began to stare at the far off ground.
A slow hour went by, but the woman did not move a muscle........that is until she saw.....a large, grey cougar, cautiously weaving through the ruin. She stiffened...and jumped from the stone. Before her feet met the earth, the cougar looked up and jumped, with unnatural quickness, away for the woman was landing too close to him. Once she had landed, her eyes began to shade with dark red, her teeth lengthened to sharp points, and an animal-like hiss left her mouth. The cougar hissed as well. For a while, the two looked menacingly at each other. Then, the cougar suddenly stopped...and began to form. The gray fur seem to sink into his now light skin, the tail melded into his back, leaving a long patch of gray hair. The formation soon stopped, leaving a lean, solemn man with his right leg, from the knee down, as a cat-like leg with a padded paw, complete with sharp nails. The man had streaks of dusty gray in his dark blonde hair and his attire was only a pair of ragged pants, cut at his knees. The man stared at the woman, standing slowly. The woman took off her hood, revealing dark skin, black hair, and the rare beauty you would find in some evil place of the world. The man walked slowly towards her........they both embraced each other like a brother and sister. "Kunga. You survived," the woman said bluntly. "And your stare hasn't changed, Rema." Rema touched his hair and gave him a strong pat on the shoulder.

Napeir watched the group from atop a building, he had been here to remember a fight he had long ago, but what he needed to rememebr was who it had been with. The woman and the man hugged like they were friends from long ago. " Should i, i know i shouldn't but really its not a chance to pass up" Napeir hopped down from atop the building he was on, carefully landing on his four paws. He carelessly aproched the two, as he got closer he noticed that this was the girl form the mountains. His friend megilan was right behind him, Napeir only nodded back to him. Taking a step forward he got up right beside then and started was his ears.

"You look lean, Kunga," Rema observed as the man laughed. "I thought you said that you would feast on anything and everything for years, when you escaped." "I did for some months, then I slept in the sun for the rest of the time. After that, I went looking for everyone." "Felt lonely?" Kunga laughed again. "It seems so.........A friend of yours?" Rema looked down and growled,"I thought I recognized your scent, Cat-Man."

Napeir just stared at the two of them, the man was of a cat, He knew what the woman was of, he thought. " Hello yourself" Napeir said " Its been awhile hasn't it" Napeir let megilan catch up to him before he started looking over the guy. " A old friend i take it, seems more friendly then you" napeir laughed "You know i still want your name, that of which you left me without"

She growled and put a hand to her face. "You are as bothersome as a fly over a fresh kill. I should have let you fall to you death!" She glared Napeir. "Rema?" Kunga looked at Rema, shocked. "You saved this human?!" "Unfortunately." Kunga stared at her. "Did something happen to you on your travels? I thought after the escape, all those years of putting up with that sick human, you would not trust, talked, or even get close to humans." "I would have keep that promise if this little pest wasn't following me!"

"Well im sorry but i was here for my own reasons" He said lashing his tail back and forth " but other then that, i think i should get out of this form" A cloud of smoke surrounded him and when it cleared he was human again, but the tail and ears were still there. " So your names Rema, and your Kunga, well its nice to meet both of you" Napeir said nicely, but he wasn't sure he was to welcome. "You really hate humans don't you" he asked the two of them "You know not all humans have a sick mind, i don't know who its was, or what they did to you, but not all humans are the same" Napeir was mostly staring at Kunga, he was part cat, and it didn't take him any energy to transform.

"You don't understand what some human nature is capable of, how far it will go. You couldn't even dream of what we went through," Kunga said, sadly. "It would make your human stomach churn and twist in ways unimaginable," Rema sneered at Napeir. Kunga shook his head, then said, in a friendly note,"You can form too. Magic?" Before he could get his answer, Rema growled, thoroughly annoyed,"Of course, its magic! You've been living in a cave since the escape?!" The gray beast sighed. "You have certainly NOT changed, Rema. Not even the slightest, unfortunately." Rema rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. "But you have, Kunga. You got soft." A small growl rumbled in Kunga's throat.

Napeir stared at the two, should he say something, was it something he had said. "I am sorry for what trouble you were put through, even though it doesn't help change it, but i am no such man and hate hurting people, so im harmless. Well, unless i lose it again, but Remas delt with that, so no worries"he told them. "with you saying remas got soft , i think i had some part in that, i w2ouldn't leave her alone, and she threatened to kill me twice i think"

Rema sneered,"Me? Soft?! The only reason you live, CAT, is because you thoroughly annoy me and I'd rather not have such a pest in my stomach!" Her eyes began to tint with red. Kunga intervened,"Please. No more talk of this. Forgive Rema's anger. She developed it from our troubled past." He looked at Napeir with a small kind look, with his back at Rema, blocking the two.

"Its no problem, im used to being yelled at so its ok, and with a past like that,it can't really be helped" he said. Napeir looked around for Megilan, who had vanished from the area. "Have you two seen my familar, it was the cat that was with me"He asked Tough Kunga was inbetween the two, he could feel remas anger from where he was, she must have been very mad, and he now knew how to push her buttons.

"Here's an idea, annoying little human!!" Rema growled, putting one suddenly clawed hand on Kunga's arm to push him aside. "Why don't you go find your little friend and LEAVE US BE!!!!!" The cougar-man twisted around and took Rema's wrists, keeping her back. He turned his head to look at the human. "Please, search for your friend. Give us some time to...... Please give us a moment," Kunga pleaded.
