Adrienne decided to go for a walk in the mountains. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the birds singing. the morning air was refreshing but despite the beauty of the days he felt lonely. She hated to admit it but she missed Alezand, she missed being with him,his voice, his eyes everything. But it was to be expected after all she was in love with him. She loved him and she knew he loved her so it was only a matter of time before he came back, at least that is what she told herself. Though she tried not to she could help but worry about him, she worried about his safety and of course she secretly worried he might find someone else. She sighed and shook her head she pushed those thought back and tried to enjoy the nice day.

He was a sly one. Being a soldier and hunter, fighting within the shroud made Alezand an extremely stealthy individual, passing through the world with all the presence of a ghost. In a forest, he was the foliage that surrounded the target. In the night, he was the very shadows dancing before ones eyes. And now he crept up on Adrienne with the skill of a cat, totally silent, until he reached striking range...
Slipping up behind her, he wrapped his arms around her, "So what takes you out this, dear? he asked inquisitively. He had been out to investigate the place where Tyanno had claimed to encounter a rather dark beast. He looked down at her, smiling at his luck in just happening to cross paths with her on his way up the mountain. "I know it is a nice day to be out for a walk, but things a bit hairy these days to be careless..."

Adrienne had been walking but she felt as though she was being followed. She looked around tensing but kept walking, suddenly she felt arms wrap around her. Before she could stop herself she elbowed him right in the stomach. She realized suddenly it was Alezand when she heard his voice but it was to late to stop herself. "Alezand I amso sorry, but that is what you get for sneaking up on me, good to know my self-defense lessons didn't go to waste." Adrienne said apologetically. She turned around in his arms so she could look at him. "I hope i didn't hurt you to much." she said with an apologetic smile. She looked away from him "I just needed to sort out my thoughts, I know it is a bit hairy but i can take care of myself besides, i couldn't pass up such a beautiful day." she said. She had indeed heard of the rumors of a creature living in the mountains , yes she knew she should have been a bit more careful even if it was a nice day. "I'm sorry Alezand I know i should be more careful." Adrienne said

"Not to worry, I trust you." the knight said, wincing a little from the sharp blow to the ribs. Feisty... had to admire her spirit. "Your are a grown woman and can make your own choices." He smiled "Something troubling you?" He was one of those people that never left one of his friends (as few as they were) without support. He liked solving other peoples problems, even when he couldn't solve his own. Being as tactically minded as he was, he could often see the full view in scope of the dilemma and see a clear path to the solution or a course of action. Unfortunately, it sometimes made him a little overbearing or nosy. His people skills left something to be desired.
He thought for a moment and then replied quickly, "I can go if you want, I was just up to check out something..."

Adrienne smiled and said, "Good to hear that you trust me because I am a grown women." She blushed, she wished she hadn't said anything but she knew she needed to tell him the truth. "Well I guess you can say that." she said. at the quesiton she shook her head and said," No don't go, I have missed you Alezand."

Alezand gestured for her over and sat down on a nearby boulder. "You can talk to me if you want. I am a very good listener. Maybe I can help." He hoped that she would confide in him. It would do well in his esteem, to show she trusted him and it would give him yet another worthy object to turn his attention. He wanted this relationship to work. His feelings for her soared more and more with every moment he spent with her.
He smiled reassuringly, "So tell me, whats up?" he asked. He turned to her and wondered what would drag down this free spirit in thought. Adrienne had struck him as a rather unaffected soul, always optimistic and cheerful. Something must really be up if it required her solitude to reflect upon...

She sat down next to him with a sigh and looked at im, she had decided she would confide in him, she took a deep breath and said, "alezand the truth is that I am worried about you, I miss being with you, I know that you have to fight and i know you can take care of yourself but i can't help missing you and i can't elp worring about your safety." The next part was hard for her to say. "There is a bit more to it than that, it is hard for me to say, and to explain I trust you but Alezand deep down i secretly worry that while you are fighting yo might find someone else." As she finished her sentence she had looked away from Alezand not wanting to see the hurt he would have at her confession, she knew that thought had been foolish but it was the truth, she wanted t run away and hide. she began shaking expecting any mment soemthing bad but et reamining hopeful that he would reassure her. She wanted this relationship to work, her feelings for him soared as she was near him.

Alezand could only smile. His mind flashed back to a distant past. No, this was different. He wouldn't fail like he had before. He thoughts on Hermione, long ago, expressing the exact same problem, but not as openly. She was insecure, just as Adrienne was now. And they had a fight just before that fateful night. She had been misled to believe Alezand cared for another, which was quite untrue, but the damage was done. All because he didn't want to believe that there was a problem. He didn't say he loved her all the time, because he thought she knew, that it was apparent. But no, and he never got the chance to fix it.
She was taken that very night. And now here he was yet again. He would not fail. He simply smiled and reached out for Adrienne. Drawing her close, He spoke very softly, "I love you, Adrienne, More than anything else in my world right now. And that is not going to change. I'm not going anywhere, I promise, I will always be here for you. I will never hurt you. Come, look at me.", he looked down, raising her chin up as the tears rolled down her cheeks. "I mean it, nothing is ever going to come between us, not heaven. not Hell, and certainly no mortal woman. You are sweet, beautiful and intelligent. I could not ask for anything better."
He wiped away her tears and kissed her lips, holding her ever so gently as if the slightest false move would break her into a million pieces. He meant every word he said. He knew that this was right, that he would love her for the rest of his days, or be haunted by her till death overtook him...

Adrienne had begun to cry, she felt so insecure she needed the reassurance. She felt Alezand draw her close and she immeditely wrapped her arms around him. She listened to his words and felt reasurred. She felt him raise her chin and she gazed in his eyes. she saw in them the truth and she knew he would keep his promise, in his eyes she saw the love he had for her and she knew he had meant every word. She felt all her barriers within crumble at his words, she knew then and there that she loved him with all her heart, she would always love him for the rest of her days. She felt him wipe her tears, and she closed her eyes as she felt him kiss her lips. She deepened the kiss slightly as they drew apart. "Alezand, I love you more than anything else in my world and that is not going to change for me. You had better keep your promise and I promise you the same, I will always be here for you and I will never hurt you." she said as she pulled him into a tight hug.
