The Noise Of A Sword

[Verdan]

As Verdan stares into the flames, his eyelids get heavy. His body's tension leaves and is replaced by calmness. He blinks once, twice. The third time, his eyes don't open again. He was asleep, his mind wandering the reaches of dreams. He dreamed of his family, which was far away. He missed them. He dreamed of his small town from which he came.

The fire slowly died, turning into mere glowing embers, which also soon went out, leaving naught but a pile of ashes.

The following morning, Verdan woke up with a splitting backache. He was not used to sleeping on a stone floor with a brick wall for a pillow. He slowly got up, groaning from the discomfort. As he rose to his full inconsiderable height, he stretched his arms to the sides and yawned. The sun was shining through a window near the ceiling, showing that it was already considerably late.

[Paine Edelias]

After as the night ended paine layed on the ground, her head on the ground as well. Paine woke up little by little her leg with splitting paine in it. Paine sat up trying to sit up straight She looked outside and saw that the sky cleared up a bit. Paine then stood up with feeling in one leg. Paine tried to wake herself up more, after waking up pain noticed that she still had the cloak, she looked over at Verdan " Thank you for the cloak to use it last night" she says to him.

[Verdan]

Verdan smiles. "Good morning, sunshine." he says cherfully. "And as for the cloak, no thanks needed. How was your night?" he asks. "Feeling better now, I hope?"

[Paine Edelias]

" Yes i am feeling alot better my leg just is bothering me" she says to him standing there. " here your cloak back" she says and smirked as he called her Sunshine. Paine then looked outside to see the sky. As Paine walked towards the way outside she noticed how clear it was outside during this day.

[Verdan]

Verdan turns around to face Paine and accepts his cloak, putting it on with a flurry. As she continued walking towards the doorway, Verdan turned once more and walked alongside her, his expression slightly concerned.

"Your leg? In which case you really shouldn't walk. Would you mind if I had a look? You may have hurt it yesterday during your practicing and not noticed." he said, concerned for her wellbeing.

[Paine Edelias]

Paine noticed that Verdan Had faced back to Paine. " I know i shouldn't be walking on my leg but i am cause im not going to stay here" she says to him. " You may look at it if you want i didn't hurt it yesterday its been like this for a while since my last training session" she sya sto him

[Verdan]

Verdan walks over to Paine and places his cloak on the ground, gesturing for Paine to sit. He helps her down, so that she does not have to further put stress on her injury.

"When exactly did you say you got this?" he said, examining the injured leg.


((OOC: You have to desctibe the injury yourself now. I cant make it up for you. ))

[Paine Edelias]

" I got this Injury 5 days ago CHallenging another warrior in training" she says to him " I wasn't expecting him to go right at my legs but mostly he did" Paine says as well. " And when Mazus went fo rmy Leg i wasn't to quick enough about trying to jump and he got my leg." Paine says sitting there quick distinctively while bein quiet. Paine looked down at her leg which had a long scar across her leg. The Scar did hurt from all the walking and training.

[Verdan]

((OOC: If it was 5 days ago, it would still be an open gash, not a scar. Let's just say you meant to say "gash" ))

Verdan looks at the cut, thinking about what he could do, pondering out loud. "This looks like an infection... If you don't get this cleared up soon, the consequences will be bad. Fever, sickness, possibly a need for amputation. You must get to a doctor. And soon. For now, I can only bandage this up." Verdan digs into his pocket and finds a piece of cloth. He tears it into strips which he winds tightly around Paine's injury. "Sorry if this hurts a bit." he says apologetically as he ties the strips to make a temporary bandage.

Paine sits on the ground wishing of course that she didn't train against him. Paine was lucky enough to still be there. Paine squinted at the pain alittle it hurt but she tried not to show it. Paine sat there awtching him bandage her leg.

[Verdan]

Verdan finished bandaging Paine's leg and says cheerfully, "There. Good as new. For now.." he adds a bit more seriously. He offers his hand to Paine to help her get up.

"So, where do you think we should go now? The city so someone has a look at that cut, I suggest. But otherwise it's your choice." Verdan says, looking up at the clear blue sky. Yesterday's storm had passed and the sun was shining bright as ever, contrasting the evil-looking citadel.

[Paine Edelias]

Paine took his hand and stood up " I think we should go and get this looked at" she says to him " Cause i don't think i should be walking aorund if it wasn't checked out" she says to him looking at him with a smile. Paine was happy that Verdan Was Around. Paine started to walk and tried to keep her balance as well.

Verdan once more hurried over to Paine and put his hand around her waist, helping her along and steering her in the direction of the city.

"Alright then. Don't put any weight on your leg, though."

As He Said Don't Put Any Of Your Weight On You leg She looked at him and said " Then How And I Gonna walk, amd i gonna limp my way there" she says to a smile on her face joking around. (( Or can we can jsut post here and say we are in the city ??)

[Verdan]

"Try to lean on me. I'm holding you, don't worry." Verdan says reassuringly, not reacting to her joke, seeing the situation as completely serious. He shifted his arm as to better support Paine.


((Hm... then it would be kinda strange: posting in the cathedral and saying its the city. I suggest to make another post.))
