The Noise Of A Sword

[Verdan]

As the priest walks away Verdan gets his speech back gradually.

"That was.... amazing...." he says, speaking with difficulty. "If only I could do that..." he continues as his eyes glaze over and he lapses into another daydream.

[Paine Edelias]

Paine looks down at her leg and then gets up walking out not knowing what to do right now. Paine then had decided to sit on a step outside of the temple her head on her hands as her elbows were on her knees. Paine had just sat there thinking " I Hate Being called a kid" shesays to herself " I hate it" she says again punches the ground as hard making a hole in the ground.

[Verdan]

((A bit overboard? ))

Verdan was standing behind her. He takes a step forward and settles down next to Paine, putting his hand around her shoulders.

"Shh... calm down..." he says in a soothing voice. "He's a grumpy old man. You shouldn't take what he says seriously. Who knows how old he is? He could be one hundred and fifty years old for all we know, and compared to him, we're merely infants." He strokes her hair gently. "It doesn't matter what some elder calls you. What matters is what you consider yourself to be, and what those you care for consider you to be."

[Paine Edelias]

After Feeling Verdan Put his arm around her should, Paine tilted her head back on to his arm and looked at him. " Maybe i should just understand that" she syas to him. " Well of course he is grumpy and he doesn't seem that old he seems near his 50's or 60's" she says to him " But thats what i noticed but maybe i should just calm down" Paine says to him sitting there looking at him.

[Verdan]

"Yea. You do need to understand that." Verdan says, relieved that Paine has calmed down now and his words have helped. "Really, though.. Who cares what he calls you or me? I don't. Do you?" Verdan finishes, to make sure he got his point across to Paine.

[Paine Edelias]

" No I don't care" she says to him sitting there. Paine sat there looking around after lifting her head up off hi arms. Paine looked out through at the distance. After looking at the distance Paine then looked at Verdan, as looking at him she smiled at him. " Hes just old and i shouldn't take anything seriously at all" she sya sto him sitting there.

[Verdan]

"Well, as long as we're in the same state of mind..." he says, looking out into the distance. It was getting later in the afternoon, the sun past its apex in the sky. "What say you to going back to that citadel again?" Verdan offers, standing up, getting ready to go.

[Paine Edelias]

Paine looked up at Verdan, she got up from her spot. Paine had then looked at him when getting up and then said " We can if you want to." Paine had smiled at him staying happy and not going into a bad mood. Paine looked at her hands and then down at the ground. After looking at the ground Paine looked up at the sky.

[Verdan]

"Let us be off then." Verdan says, beginning to walk slowly away from the temple and out to the city gates. He stared into the distance, wondering what will happen this time at the citadel. Will he find another half-dead warrior practicing their art? Or will he be haunted by the souls of the Undead, rumored to inhabit the Citadel.

[Paine Edelias]

Paine Had Stood there Looking and Then Walked Towards the Gate. Paine Had Then walked out of the Gates Catching up with Verdan. Paine Thought of Citadel, she didn't know what could happpen but all she knew was she hoped nothing else happened when they got back there.

[Verdan]

As Verdan walked towards the citadel, he didn't notice it slowly getting nearer. When he looked up, he was surprised to see that he nearly walked right into its wall. He eyes the place suspiciously. Did he really get there that fast? He looked around. Apparently he did... Strange things have been happening.

[Paine Edelias]

Paine who had went to the Left And Was Out Of Site Of Verdan walked around. Paine had noticed that something had changed around here and she didn't know what it was. Paine wondered, she then noticed that something was funny about this place since everything looking different mostly as it changed.

[Verdan]

Verdan, not noticing how he got there, obviously did not see Paine as she left his side. Looking around and not seeing her, Verdan became slightly alarmed and began walking around the perimeter of the citadel, the same way that Paine went. As he walked, he saw no sign of her, since she was walking away from him and he was following her, being just out of sight of each other.


((Sorry if that doesn't make sense, I'm a little dazed today....))

Paine stopped in her tracks looking around.. She could fine no sign of Verdan as she stood there she couldn't sense him either. FOr some Reason the city wouldn't let her send anyone around the city. Paine stood there still looking not moving hopefully verdan would find here in this, as she says, So Called Maze.

[Verdan]

Verdan, gradually speeding up, almost flew out from behind a corner and right into Paine, sending them both sprawling in a jumble on the earthen ground. "Hello. Fancy meeting you here." Verdan says in a completely serious voice. The phrase itself, however, indicates the fact that he was joking about meeting Paine there.
