Shadow laughed. "of course, you seem like a very easy target." Looking at susan as she drew her sword, he shook his head. "now, there's no need for hostilities, and the gate keepers would have trouble discerning targets in this encompasing darkness, trust me." Looking at eragon, he frowned. "What is up between you and Strife here? I mean honestly, every time I have seen the two of you together, its always you with you hand onyour sword, or with strained feelings, and Cloud with the look of mortal fear on his face. Honestly, what is the deal?"

Ariadne frowned."How do you figure?" She asked him as she turned around and looked up to him. She didnt really appreciate being called an "easy target".

Eragon shook his head. "A long sotry. A really long story." he smirked, shaking his head repeatdly.

strife just smiled and nodded in agreement,"much too long,guys..." strife looked at eragon and smiled again.

Eragon looked at cloud and shrugged. "Its worth 1165 pages of reading." Eragon grinned. "And much more coming up."

Shadow laughed. "i was being sarcastic about the easy target thing. No thief in their right mind would try any of us in this circle right now, because of one main thing."He looked around. "We are in a group, and are unconciously watching each other's backs. No theif would dare approach us, except for me, because I wont steal from any of you."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne smiled. "Ok.......But how do you know there arent some brave and witty thief that would try to rob us?" Ariadne asked him with an arched brow as she looked at him.

he shrugged. "I dont. but it would take a very good theif to do that, espicially because there isnt enough of us to make a crowd, and we are all heavily armed." he looked at ariande. "Yes, even you and I." He laughed. "i dont know if i would even be able to pull it off."

Ariadne laughed. "I didnt really expect an answer I was just playing with you. So what brings you out at this time of day?" Ariadne asked him curiously.

strife smiled and awaited shadow's answer. he rarely see shadow other than that day at the shop and at the lake.

Eragon looked around, feeling bored. He kicked a stone around idly as he watched Ariadne and Shadow chat.

Susan was allso bored she didnt know if it was wise to make conversation with Eragon or leave him be she put her hands in her pockets and leaned against her staff and began to nap

Ariadne looked around as she waited for Shadows response. She then noticed Susan sleeping. Ariadne smiled..."she must be tired." Ariadne thought. She then looked back at Shadow and waited for his response

Susan woke emidiatly when Ariadne spoke she drew her wepon and swung it about saying "who goes there"she started to focus and relised tht she was still in the street and put her wepon away"sorry" she said
