Kane looked up at the archway of stone. A slight frown fell upon his lips as he stared at it. It appeared as yet just another city with it's great legends and nothing more though he had been told much about this place. His dark eyes scanned over the places he could see standing at this distance from the place. He had ridden like so many others from a far off town. Instantly upon his journey his bad luck had been shown for what it was. Kane had been ambushed and his horse stolen along with what money the theives could find. He planned to exact revenge upon them of course if he was ever to see them again but he would not let it be a major part of his life.
Kane's boots dropped dirt from his many miles of walking as he walked the short distance, compared to what he had already gone, into the city. He supposed this was the main entrance into the city for the gaurds looked far more formal here than they really had any where else along the way. His head dropped some in a bow of sorts to the gaurds as he entered the great city of Avaren. Such tales he had heard about this Kingdom that he now believed them to me more of myth to entertain the children than anything else.
If he had an inkling of doubt about his being here you certainly could not see it. He was a warrior whom had been sent here of all places to assist in what ever was needed. Kane had laughed at his commander when he had first heard the words and had refused it, considering it a joke. But alas, here he was standing at the very entrance of this place. His clothes were a bit dirty and worn but still wearable and the thieves had managed to miss his dagger, which he was better with than a sword any way. So in a way he had been lucky in being given a chance to start over here. In a manner of speaking that it.
