The second attempt (for those in the DOAM thread)

Elsemir looked over his shoulder to see if the others were still here. He held the mage infront of him as the approached the gate.
New gaurds had been put in place.
Excelent.
He spurred the group on.
The gaurd moved to stop them but Elsemir put a hand up and pretended to look angry.
"Look i've already had fuss here and i cant be bothered, shes a mage, yes, but she's mine and a man to the north of here has promised me a pretty penny for her return, she lays curses and the like."
The gaurd flinched as the word curse flowed from Elsemir's lips.
"Ok then i wont be messin with her, but return a lock of her hair to the city. The king wants proof of each mages death!"

Elsemir nodded as they moved past the gaurd and out into freedom.

"Good now what dangers do we face in the wilderness," Drakon saids.

[elsemir]

"That depends on our mage," He let the chains drop as they turned a corner, out of view of the city. "What is your choice, mage?"

[Alenya Everglade]

Alenya sighed. It felt good to be out of her bindings and out of the oppressive atmosphere of the city. Rubbing her wrists nervously, she cast her eyes on Elsemir. "Honestly? I just want to get home. None of this is fair to my people. We did nothing and we are persecuted for being trained in special gifts. I am sick of it. And what that guard said back there? That the king wants proof that the mages are dying? We did nothing to prompt that." She stopped ranting, took a deep breath, and continued. "So, honestly? I am perfectly happy to follow my obligation to you plan and help you in whatever endeavor you need, but right now I just want to go home."

"I do not require your help any more my mage," Elsemir sighed, "I mearly hope you enjoy your home, happy travels, i will go to Raeper village, if you will find me there."
He offered a hand to her.
"Merry met and merry goodbye, and merry be met until we meet again."
He kissed her hand and then set off to Raeper village.
