Shadow shrugged. "Oh well, you'd better hope that there isss sssomeone to catch usss." As he said this, he closed his wings and crossed his arms in front of his chest, looking impatient. "oh, ssso there are there are archersss waiting to ssshoot me out of the sssky? well, you'd better hope they don't, Or we really will be in trouble." Shadow looked around as the speed of their descent quickened. Looking at Susan, he smiled mischievously. "well, Do you promisssse to releassse me when we get down? If not, then we wont get down, or we will and not know it on account of being dead. Either that, or i ussse you as a cussshion to sssoften the fall." He looked down." Better hurry up, the ground isss getting pretty clossse..." less than ten feet away from the ground, Shadow's wings snapped open, slowing their fall, and he landed lightly. half dragging the watchwoman back to where they had started, he looked at her impatiently and indicated to the cuffs. "now, if you pleassse ma'am, I would like to get out of thessse unconfortable thingsss, before i melt them off."

"fine lets go but dont try any thing funny they art going to attack you if your chained to me"she said confidently they walked over to a blacksmith mechants stall."free us"she said to the merchant "or do you want the gaurds to kow our little secret"she said lowering her voice.The blacksmith looked worried and handed her a copy of the key "Melt the others and it might slip my mind"she said ans she uncuffed her self the black smith emediatly melted the others and moved to another costumer.

she uncuffed shadow and made a hand signal to the archers on the castle walls and they droped there weapons"shadow it was a plesure to fly with you possibly we can meet without Handcuffs or gaurds" she said in a friendler tone of voice.

Shadow bowed his head. " It was my pleasure, and if you happen to see me when you are off duty, Just ask in a tone that dosent include handcuffs." he laughed. Walking back to where mira was, he bowed. "my apologies.And yes, originally i was going to lift your purse, but I couldnt. You arent haughty or pompous like the other nobles that wander these streets. looking around suspiciously, he unfurled his wings. "And the reason that I asked you to tell me if my tounge was forked was because If my tounge gets forked, and I have wings, I am in a dangerous position." he flapped his wings a few times, creating a slight breeze. "I saw your expression as I was flying, and I must say." His orange eyes turned green as they glinted mischeviously. "You looked quite jealous. It would seem as though you would like to fly..."

"well I wish I could go home and ask a Gryfan to that and yes I slightly envy you,you can go any where you want "she said just as shadow steped back and arrow landed in between the two she shouted"this means lower your weapons not fire"whaving her arm like mad"Thanks you saved me five minutes of work" she giggled "so now i can go off duty"

Shadow shook his head. "did I? well then, I guess we will have to-" Shadow stopped and fell flat on his back, a small paralysis dart sticking out of the side of his neck. He struggled to get up, but to no avail. He closed his eyes and spoke in a very low tone. "Susan, how much is the bounty that was placed on my head worth? Do you know? Because I heard that there was one, and this is the second time that someone's tried to claim it..." He had managed to get to a sitting position, but once he finished speaking, he fell back again, unconscious.

"There is no bounty over your head the maniac shot without orders thats acrime and if you die its murder"she said "but I wont let an inocent man die" she said as she nelt beside him and took out the arrow and ripped a bit ov her cape off and grabed some wool a needle and thread and returned to shadows side"Get back" she shouted to the shoppers and started fixing shadow up wispering "God why do you pick me to assist someone." Within a couple of minutes shadow had a small blue plaster on his neck she went and got a bucket and filled it up with water and splashed over Shadows face so he regained consiousnes

Shadow splutterd a bit, but didnt move. His eyes snapped open, but he couldnt move much more than his face and fingers. "great. now im awake, but completely paralyzed. Ugh.... go and kill the cretin that shot that dart, before i do.can someone atleast help me up?" His eyes darted around, and he tried to get up, but to no avail. "Just great." He coughed again, and a jet of flame erupted from his mouth. "at least I can breathe."

[Mira Nightingale]

“Well, thank you for not considering me haughty or pompous.” Mira told Shadow with a bit of a laugh, forgiving him for attempting to lift her purse. “Why would your position be dangerous?” she asked after a moment as Shadow mentioned once again a forked tongue and wings. “And how is it possible for you to even have wings?”

As Shadow seemed to have read her mind, Mira couldn’t help but flush ever-so-slightly. “Well, that is…” she started, then just sighed softly. “Yes, you’re right. I’ve obviously never been flying before, so it seemed… rather exciting.” Just as she finished speaking, Shadow collapsed, and Mira noticed a small dart sticking out of the back of his shoulders.

Susan, the annoying watchwoman who had caused this all to happen, knelt down and fixed Shadow up, then proceeded to splash water over his face to wake him up. The water worked, but Shadow began to complain for a bit before asking for someone to help him up. Mira took a few steps forward, noticing Susan not moving to help, and wrapped one arm around Shadow’s shoulders and the other around his waist. After a bit of a struggle, she managed to left him up onto his feet.

Shadow laughed. "Thank you, Now all I have to do is worry about staying up..." he began to fall again, but his hand shot out and grabbed a nearby pole. "well, Im beginning to recover..." He looked at susan. "oh yes there is a bounty on my head, its just not an official one." he shook his eyes, being unable to shake his head. "its the survivors of the guild me and a few friends wiped out, they want to get back at me, and unfortunately, they want me dead. they think my friends are allready dead, thankfully." He sighed. "susan, can you please take that thing you placed on my neck off?!? It is hindering my recovery. And as soon as I can recover, I will take you both flying, to wherever you would like to go, within reason." he wings quivered a bit, as Shadow unsucsessfully tried to move his body.

[Mira Nightingale]

Shadow lurched again, grabbing onto a pole, but Mira didn’t unwind her arms from around his shoulders and waist. He definitely needed the little extra support, although if he fell on her again she knew she couldn’t hold him up successfully by herself. “I can see what I can do about the bounty on you.” she told him after listening to him speak to Susan. “If I tell my parents that you saved my life, they’d do anything for you.”

That was too true. If she mentioned her life being saved, they would want to meet the young man, shower him with gold, remove the bounty completely, and probably prepare a feast in his honor. She knew that Shadow probably didn’t want most of that, and she certainly didn’t want her parents throwing a feast for nothing extraordinary. If he, for some reason, did want her to mention the incident, she gladly would.

Then the word flying escaped his mouth again, and she couldn’t help but nod and smile. She definitely didn’t think anything else could be more fun than flying. Although, in truth, the wings were still confusing her a bit.

Shadow shook his head. "you wont be able to find the group that posted the bounty. And believe me, even the king would have trouble paying it." Shadow's wings fanned themselves, slowly. he smiled. with very slow movement, he reached up to his neck and took the patch that susan had applied to his neck. once he took it off, his whole body quivered, and he was able to move freely again. He smiled and took Mira's hand off his waist and from around his shoulders. "Thanks for helping me up." Seeing her confused, he smiled. "I am a mage, I am in training to become a shapeshifter. The wings are there because i will be transforming into a dragon when I am fully able to, and that is a day that I eagerly look forward too." Stretching a bit, he jumped into the air. flying around a bit, he fully stretched his wings, making sure that the paralysis dart had fully worn off.

[Mira Nightingale]

“Not find the group, or pay for it.” she corrected him, shaking her head with a twinge of a smile playing on her lips. “I mean make it go away.” She paused for a moment, and then knowing that he would probably need just a little more information, she added, “My family has… connections. Believe me, it would go away.” Even though she hated mentioning the fact that her family did have connections, she felt now was an appropriate time.

“A dragon?” she repeated with a mild degree of surprise. “That’s definitely something. Good luck in your training.” Looking him over for a moment she added, “Though I’d say you’re half way there already.” As he thanked her for helping him up she shook her head. “It’s no problem, really.”

As he took off flying again, she shielded her eyes from the sun and just watched him, wondering what it would be like to have wings of her own.

(sorry been busy) susan was listining to shadow and Mira and also watching the strugle on the castle walls she took out her bow and shot the assaliant the other solders up on the walls dragged the man to her. she turned round in time to see shadow peel of the bandage "why do I try" she wispered before any one of the party of gaurds could ask she said "Take him out of the city and excicute him NOW"the gaurds did as ordered and the man was killed.

Shadow laughed as he landed. "there will be more... like the one behind me now." He stepped to the side and spun, landing a kick on a shaggy looking man who had his dagger almost at shadow's neck. the kick sent the man flying into a building, and he crumpled from the impact. Shadow shook his head and walked over to the man.

As he approached, the man stirred, but didnt get up. "Stay down, its better for your concerns." Shadow laughed as he said this, and began to search the the man's body for anything. producing a small scroll of paper, he opened it and shook his head. "So it is marcus... why does he want me dead?" Shadow read the paper again. " Wait... he wants me alive... even worse..." Shaking his head, he walked back over to where Susan and Mira were. "see this?" he held out the scroll and there was even a picture of shadow on it. "Guess im not getting off easy this time..."

"shadow your now under full blanket gaurd protection"she said looking concerned the gaurds had returned "stop any man with this partchement and quickley excicute him or her"she said pointing to the parchament.
