A fine day... for thievery?

Shadow shook his head. "Uh... ust dont have them follow me around, eh? because i do things that the law would not like..." He laughed, looking at mira. "Im afraid that no one in this city would be able to pay that sum..." He nodded to the guards, and spoke in a loud clear tone. "now if i find that any of these fine men are following me, or anyone is following me and is under oreders to follow me, I will ge very angry. and when i get angry, people DIE!" as he said this last word, he spun and threw his dagger at the man whom he had kicked, as that man was getting to his feet. There was a thump, and the dagger was protruding from the mans chest. the man fell, without much of a reaction, dead. "Shadow looked back at the guards. "like that."

"okay but your orders are clear search evry man,woman and child that sets foot in this city"she said looking at the person"and for gods sakes get him out of here"she ordered looking at the dead man

As Shadow held out the wanted poster, Mira gazed at it curiously. She had never seen this before, but it made her slightly apprehensive. What exactly was he wanted for? Had he done something bad, or was it just this strange group’s unfair doing? She certainly wasn’t about to ask Shadow about it. When Susan spoke, however, telling her guards to execute anyone with the wanted poster, Mira frowned heavily, rounding on the watchwoman.

“Do you enjoy sending people to their deaths?” she spat out, her temper starting to fray. “Whether they have the poster or not, at least give them a fair trial and a prison sentence. You have no right to kill people on a whim.”

Then Shadow mentioned no one being able to pay that sum, she shook her head to herself. He didn’t seem to understand the influence her father held. If her father and his friends wanted to make anything go away, then that something disappeared without a trace. Then Shadow got angry, shouted a bit, and killed a man. Wincing as the man fell, dead, Mira took a hesitant step backward. She really wanted to get away from here…

Just as she was contemplating exactly how she would get away undetected, Susan made another order, and her temper frayed even more. “You’re not royalty.” she snapped, frowning. “You don’t control the city. You’re a watchwoman, you man the city walls and watch for possible attacks. You are not the word of law in this city.”

"well if you want a group of thugs coming after you because your to close to shadow we are both in moral danger these men are out to kidnap Shadow they are living amongst us they see that we are a fine city the ring leader shows up and soon the king and his family are dead I know my duty and yes I am royalty but not here my orders are to stop possible threats before they breach the castle walls this guild is a threat I am in charge af the gaurds I say die its my order I have my reasons but I do not need to explain that to a mere Citizen like youself yes my orders are hard a trial go to the king if you must but if i send some one to jail to await trial there could possibley be a jail break or an attack so if you like life is uggest you complain to the king and if it pleases you you can put me in my own cell and wait for havoc"she said throwing mira handcuffs and keys to the jail.

Shadow shook his head. "now that wont be nessiscary." Shadow looked at mira, and saw how she was trying to edge away. "Mira, I know what you are thinking. And im sure Susan is a bit curious too." Shadow sighed heavily. " Dismiss the guards." Shadow waved his hand and the dagger dissapeared from the man's chest and returned to Shadow's hand. He smiled. "so it does work." he mumbled to himself. looking up, he closed his eyes. "Baisicly, I am wanted by this group because me and three friends set a trap for them and killed every one of the group, save a few stragglers. One of the survivors was half buried in the rocks that killed the rest of the group, and he shot me and my two friends, killing one, hitting the other in the shoulder, and me in my leg." Shadow sighed. "and so the survivors joined another group, and their anger travled over, and it spread. So now, I have baisicly an army after me." Shaking his head, he softly added one last bit. "but I killed them in vengance and they know it... they should just accept that I win. me and my now two person army." he turned away, trying to keep his emotions down. "the memories... all they bring is pain..."

Susa heard him "and what "she snaped" let mad person carry you off I would lose my job"she sas still looking at Mira waiting to see if she had thr guts to do it

[Mira Nightingale]

“A mere citizen?” she replied, nose in the air, using an attitude she rarely, if ever, resorted to using. “My father is Sir Lance Arthur, and my mother the Lady Elizabeth Jane. Don’t you dare refer to me as just a mere citizen!” she practically snarled. Her father was one of the best knights of Avaren and her mother was the daughter of one of the most famous necromancers of all time. Her bloodline and family roots made her so much more than just a mere citizen. Nobility, power, influence, family roots, bloodline, and money made her so much more than just a mere citizen. This… blood thirsty woman was the mere citizen!

Susan threw her handcuffs and keys to the jail cell, but Mira kicked them away with the toe of her shoe. “I, unlike you, think before I ask.” she told her, the handcuffs and keys resting at Susan’s feet once again. “Someone who tries to protect the city does not deserve to be locked up, no matter how blood thirsty and power hungry they seem to be. These men are not after the king or any people here, just Shadow. That makes no one but him in perpetual danger, and from what I’ve seen he can definitely take care of himself. Stop trying to get involved in that which no one except Shadow really understands, and you have no right to protect those stronger than you are.”

Shadow interrupted the argument, and Mira felt a little sorry for him. “Memories are tough.” she replied quietly, deciding to completely ignore Susan, who was continually prickling her temper. “You need to set this army straight once and for all. I would help if I could…” she trailed off, deciding to offer her earlier suggestion once more. “I’ll see what my father can do about the wanted poster.”

"yes you may be a lady but you are still just one more citizen"Susan said"and how would you know these men are no danger to the king and I am not bloodthirst or power hungry I just want to keep you and my homeland safe"she said lifting her eyebrow

[Mira Nightingale]

“Your homeland?” Mira repeated, eyeing the woman with distaste. “You said you were royalty earlier. You’re not Avaren royalty, so Avaren is not your homeland. Either that, or you were lying about being royal in the first place.” she raised a perfectly arched eyebrow in question. “So which is it?”

“Well, then,” she replied haughtily, crossing her arms with a heavy frown, “You are just one more citizen as well, then. And citizen to citizen, I am of higher rank and therefore can not, and will not be ordered around by the likes of you.”

“They are not a danger to the king,” she continued, having to stop herself from rolling her eyes, “because they are after Shadow because they hate him and made a wanted poster of him. The king is a good enough warrior to take care of himself, and Shadow is a good enough mage to take care of himself. Neither of them need a watchwoman to take care of them. Your duty is to all of Avaren, and the King has his own higher trained bodyguards.”

Smirking softly, she nodded to the right. “If you were such a good watchwoman, you would have noticed that that little girl over there just took that man’s wallet.”

"tecnicaly I live here to escape from a war driven Narnia so right now I t is my home until the war is over and I am royalty since birth and I am superior than you my order go with these armed forces the only order you can give is after that man "she said now furious "the king needs protection I am the first line with these guys and thats why the king put us here so he can prepare for an attackand the bodygaurds are still like anyother man kust more trained" she said knowing that the theif was just a decoy anyway the gaurds would have got her

Shadow cringed at the energy flying beteen the two. "calm down.... there isnt a need to fight over who has higher status. in my eyes, you both are people that I dont take orders from, so relax. everyone is free to do what they want. If the king gives you and order, its more of a strong suggestion anyways, so you dont have to do it." he laughed.

listening to susan, he shook his head. "Narnia? is that like Alagaesia, Eragon's homeland?" He shook his head. "mira, dont go around saying tht there are such things as mages." he sighed. "because all of the warriors born in avaren are taught that magic is an old wive's tale."

"yes along those lines"she said not looking at him keeping her eyes on Mira

Mira rolled her eyes again at Susan’s increasing fury. She was rather good at pushing people’s buttons, it seemed. “You are not of higher rank that me here in Avaren.” she told Susan, just about ready to leave the annoying woman and go home. Shadow would be stuck with her then, and she didn’t wish that on anyone. “The only way you would be,” she continued, trailing her eyes over Susan’s worn and tattered battle clothes, “is if you were a guest of the King, which you are not. You don’t even act like royalty. Dressing like a beggar doesn’t seem like a Queen at all.”

“That’s what I was taught, too.” she replied, turning her piercing gaze back toward Shadow. “That magic didn’t exist. Now I know better, though, so why should I deny the truth?” It was her mother that had constantly told her magic didn’t exist, and now she wondered why her mother had been so insistent. Had she known about it, per chance?

Just then, the man she had seen getting robbed by the little girl started shouting that he’d been robbed. She turned back to Susan with a harsh laugh. “Not so good of a watchwoman now, are we? You just blatantly ignored a citizen, and now that citizen is paying the price.”

OOC I clearly stated that she was in disguise and I would have been pulled out of action if my uniform ragged
"when you take on the position of head of castle gaurd let me know then i will follow your orders but because that day will never come I am a greater position and more Importaint I am defending this town risking my life when you can sit at home relaxing nice safe and warm"she said as two gaurds came to her "aprehend the child give the man his money back and get her something to eat"she said still watching Mira like hawk

“There’s no way I would even want to be head of the castle guard.” she replied with a bit of exasperation making its way into her voice. “I perfectly enjoy sitting home nice and warm, and going shopping. I don’t see how you can insult me based on that fact.”

Watching as Susan made the guards apprehend the child for her, she just rolled her eyes again. This woman couldn’t even stop a child! Turning back to Shadow she curtsied very slightly. “Thank you for saving me, once again.” she told him, fingering her purse absently. “If you ever want to drop by, I live in the white house with the red roof in the north of the city. But, now I feel that I really must be going.”
