“Nope! No brain!” she exclaimed, giggling annoyingly as she downed the rest of her water. Kane was being rather quiet, but she didn’t really notice. Her vision kept continually blurring and then getting better, and it was giving her quite a headache.
Suddenly, Kane stood up and she nearly fell out of her chair. He told her that he was going home, and that she should come with him so she could go home too. She could vaguely remember that there was a reason she didn’t want to go home, something about getting in a lot of trouble, but it kept escaping her thoughts.
Deciding that it couldn’t be too important if she couldn’t remember it, she stood up slowly, gripping the edge of the table. Eyeing the violin player for a moment, she got a fantastic idea. At least, it seemed fantastic to her in her inebriated state.
“Not leaving yet.” she said slowly, shaking her head to exaggerate her point. “Leaving after the song.” she finished, her shaking head now nodding. Laughing loudly and earning a few bewildered stares, she grabbed Kane’s hands and started skipping around the open floor in front of the bar, dancing quite awkwardly to the music.

Kane watched her as she nearly fell from her chair. He stepped forward quickly as if to assist her onlt to watch her stand up on her own, using the table for assistant. He narrowed his eyes at the man playing the violin only wishing for the horrid sound to stop. Had he not already promised himself to help this girl home he would've been out the door the instant he spotted the musician. If the man had had some one else playing with him it might not have been so bad but by itself it was likely to drive him insande.
While he was planning his quick escape and a plan to drag her out with him she was focused upon the music. Next thing he knew he was being pulled quickly out into the middle of the room. "What do you mean not leaving?" Kane rolled his eyes as she started dancing about. He shook his head. "The things I do..." He adverted his gaze to the floor for a moment before placing his eyes back upon Mira, hoping the song would end soon. "Sorry I'm not much of a dancer." Had she not been so drunk she probably would've seen straight through that lie.

“I’m a g-good dancer,” she told Kane, nodding to herself as she tripped over her own feet. It was true, though, no matter how clumsy and awful she seemed at the moment. Having been taught dances from the waltz to the tango since she was barely able to walk, she prided herself on that ability above a lot of other things. “You’re not too bad, Kane.” she added after a moment, just as the music ended and the man looked pointedly at them for money.
Mira glanced down at the man, stumbled slightly, and then reached for her purse. Opening it and finding no money, like there had been the last time she checked, she turned it upside down and peered inside, hoping something would magically appear. sadly for her, there was absolutely nothing left to spend. Feeling really bad for the man all of a sudden, she turned to Kane, her eyes pleading. “You have money to give him, right?” she asked him, eyeing his pockets in case he was hiding at least a small coin in one of them.

Kane gave a little laugh as she assured him that she was a good dancer. "I was not saying that Mira...I was simply.." He shook his head as he started to dance to the music as well. What he would've given for a full street and a bunch of gypsies to play their old songs. Those he could dance to but he supposd that this was as good as any. A relieved sigh left his mouth however as the music came to a sudden halt. Kane narrowed his eyes at the man as he stared at them. He grumbled to himself before rolling his eyes.
Kane laughed as she messed about with her purse trying to find money to pay the man with. He was playing for entertainment and if he really wanted money he would be out on the streets. He quirked his brow at her. "You're kidding right...." After standing there for a few moments he realized that she obviously wasn't. "Oh for god sakes." He shook his head and dug into his pocket producing a little silver coin. He pressed his lips together in a frown as he gave the man the coin. Kane then turned and grabbed on to Mira. "Can we leave now? The song is over...." He glanced to the man who still had a look of hate upon his face for only recieving a silver coin when he must've been expecting a gold one.

As Kane paid the man a silver coin Mira smiled, nodding in agreement, finally, to Kane’s request to leave the tavern. Now she was rather tired, and getting a good night’s sleep in her own bed would be wonderful. She only had two months left of sleeping by herself if she didn’t manage to talk her parents out of the wedding, anyways.
“Yep! We can leave!” she nodded again, walking toward the door and trying to find the handle once again. Just like before, she had trouble finding it, and her hand it above the handle, below the handle, to the left and to the right. Deciding that she wasn’t doing anything wrong, but that it was the handle, she frowned heavily and turned to Kane. “The handle keeps moving…” she grumbled, crossing her arms like a child would while pouting.

Kane smiled warmly at her as she finally agreed to leave. He ran his hand back through his hair, making a sharp glance at the man with the violin who had started up yet another song. God the sooner he was out of this place the better. "Thank you for letting us get out of here." He gave a soft chuckle as if it was to himself. He smiled as he watched her walk to the door.
Kane couldn't help but laugh as Mira struggled with the door knob missing it just by a bit each time she reached for it. "Here here it's alright. I'll get it for you." He grinned at her, placing his hand lightly upon her shoulder and nodding to show that he would indeed take care of it. He smiled as he shook his head, grabbing a firm hold upon the handle and forcing the door open. "And tah dah...we're free. Out into the night." He grinned. "All I need you to do is give me a general description of the area or the house in which you live and I will return you to it for the night." Kane yawned, throwing his hand over his mouth as he did so. "I think we could both use some sleep."

Deciding to help her solve the tricky problem of the moving door handle, Kane placed a hand on her shoulder as he reached out… and grabbed the handle, successfully opening the door. Well, maybe the doorknob just didn’t like her very much. There had to be a reason that it would open for Kane and not her. Deciding that she would figure out the mystery later she stepped out into the fresh night air, taking a deep breath and letting it out, surprised at how fresh the air seemed compared to inside.
“My house?” she repeated quizzically, her stunningly drunk state starting to slowly edge off. “It’s big,” she nodded, trying to think of another word, “and it’s white.” As Kane yawned, she followed suit. Yawning could be just as addictive as smiling and laughter, after all, and she was tired enough to just fall asleep right here. She knew better than that, though.
“Sleeping does sound good.” she agreed, nodding again as she took off down the street toward the right. She still knew vague directions, but other than going right she was completely lost. “It has lots of windows.” she added again after a moment, trying to picture her house although it really wasn’t coming out all that clear.

Kane let his dark eyes drift up to the sky. The moon was almost full but there were few stars visible tonight. He thought it odd that the moon should be so bright and clear when the stars seemed to be blotted out by dark clouds but he decided not to comment on it. He stretched a bit, raising his arms up above his head and clenching his fists before standing normally again.
Kane bursted into laughter, having to cover his mouth for fear of waking the people who had houses near the tavern. "Big...well that helps a hell of a lot." He grinned. "Oh and white...well that one might help a bit. I need more than that to find your house though." He grinned as she yawned after him. "Heh sorry about that there." He dug the toe of his boot down into the ground, trying to draw a picture of the house up in his mind but without success.
Kane had been thinking when he snapped out of it and realized she was no longer standing beside him. He gasped a bit and ran to catch back up with her. "So I'm guessing that it's in this direction." He smiled. "If you see it will you know it?" He was pretty sure that she would recognize her own house and if not he would just ask some one else about the place where she lived.

“Yep! Big, white, lots of windows, and a big garden out front.” she repeated, nodding once again to herself as Kane caught up to her. “It’s, uh, this way!” she repeated, giggling loudly, although her laughs were cut short as she tripped over her own foot and almost fell over, just managing to stop herself at the last possible second.
“I know my house.” she replied after a long, thoughtful moment as she stopped walking and stared at the road that forked in two directions. Her house would obviously be in the rich section of the city, but right now everything was dark and gloomy and looked so much different than it did in the daylight. She really had no idea which way to go, so she turned to Kane as if expecting him to know the way instead.

Kane shook his head in amusement, trying hard not to laugh at Mira. "Right well I'm prefectly sure that we can find your house in no time at all." He nodded and started walking, gasping a bit as she stumbled and trying to catch her though it was not needed. "Right. Well..." He gave a short sigh. "Big, white, with lots of windows and a big garden." He chuckled. They were going to have a hell of a time finding this house if she couldn't recognize it on spot.
Kane walked a bit closer to Mira, incase she stumbled again. He hummed lightly as they walked along, not liking the silence of the night. He never really was comfortable in silence. "Well I believe we're heading in the right direction," he said more to himself than to her. The houses were getting increasingly larger in size and most seemed to still have lights with in that had not been done away with. Thank God for that.
[It's alright. You take your time ^.^]

Mira nodded as Kane repeated the facts she had said about her house and decided which way to go. Following him as well as walking beside him, she yawned loudly as her eyes drooped. “I’m tired and my feet hurt.” she complained, glancing down at the high heels she was wearing as she almost tripped again. “Are we there yet?”
The houses were getting larger as they passed, but none of them looked familiar. It might have been because she didn’t live in this neighborhood, or because they were blurred and all had fuzzy outlines. These homes were just that, though, large houses. With the fact that her father, Sir Lance Arthur, was one of the most prominent warriors of Avaren and her mother, Lady Elizabeth Jane, came from a wealthy family, they had one of the largest mansions. Mira and Kane still had quite a walk to go.

Kane smiled over at her. "Would you like me to carry you?" He chuckled. "I think I could probably do it for a while if you'd want to. Either that or just sleep here." He gave a tiny shrug and grinned. "No...give it a bit." Kane stopped her and bent down, he lifted her legs up one at a time and took her heels off, carrying them in his hand. "There...now you can actually walk."
Kane nodded his head to her and started to walk again. He let out a gentle sigh as he started looking at all the houses. "hm this is never ending..." Kane started humming again, a different tun this time though. One of the gypsy songs he had learned when he was only sixteen. He was quite surpried to find himself humming this as he walked but he enjoyed it so he continued. They had to be getting close. These houses were huge and he couldn't even imagine having enough things to fill it with.

As Kane bent down and took off her shoes she looked back at him stupidly, a bland expression on her face. “The ground is cold now.” she continued complaining, something she would never do if she was sober. As Kane started walking off with her shoes, however, she snapped to attention and chased after him, one again almost falling flat on her face. “Give ‘em back!” she shouted, rather loudly, reaching forward to snatch back her shoes.
Taking a quick glance at the houses they passed, she thought one looked vaguely familiar, but it was only vaguely. Maybe that was where one of her mother’s tea party friends lived… brushing aside the thought as quickly as it had come she reached for her shoes again, intent on getting them back from Kane.

Kane narrowed his eyes at her slightly as he watched her stumble yet again. "Well....we'll look at it this way. The quicker you find your house...the quicker you get your shoes back." He grinned at her and switched the shoes to his other hand, holding them away from her. "Give you a bit more of a reason to sober up some and find your house." He nodded, taking a few quick paced steps to pull in front of her again.
Kane picked up his tune once again to keep his mind off of how hard it really was to just find one house. Of course he had never laid eyes upon it and she was drunk so of course it was going to be quite a hassle and he should've realized it before leaving with her. But it was the price to pay because she seemed like some one he'd like to be around. "Right...so nothing yet? I think we might be nearing the end of our choices...at which point we'll turn around and walked back." He chuckled.

“What’re you humming?” Mira asked after another minute of plodding along down the street. It was starting to give her a headache, and her feet ached even more. She just wanted to go home, and lie in bed, and sleep for a long, long time. Pressing a hand to her head she groaned softly at the pounding headache that was developing, and without realizing it her pace slowed considerately.
“Can’t I have my shoes back now?” she continued glowering, almost coming to a standstill. She was just so tired… she could probably fall asleep right now… and her headache wasn’t helping in the least bit.
((Sorry for the crap post… I’m completely creatively drained right now))
