Christine walked down the street looking into shops. She was overwhelmed by everything. She felt sad seeing all these things yet she knew she had to be strong at least for her father.
Looking into a book shop she walked in started to scan the titles. Some she had heard of but the English was still hard for her. She was getting better but she still stumbled over some words and her accent was still heavy. Sighing she reached for a book that intrested her and opened it scaning the conents

Kane walked slowly through the market place, his eyes glancing around at all of the things placed here. He knew exactly why he was looking for, just not quite how to get his hands on it easily. A soft smile fell upon his lips as he noticed all of the books placed about.
Kane stepped over to them, scanning the titles as quickly as he could. He let out a little sigh as he had read most of them back home. It was the one thing he loved most to do when he was alone though most would never know that of him. Kane chuckled at a girl scanning a book. "You should never do that. It ruins the book." He nodded.

Christine looked over her shoulder to see a young man not to much older than she was. She looked at him as he spoke, the book still clutched in her hands.
"You should never do that. It ruins the book." He nodded. she heard him say.
In response Christine smiled and laughed a little. "It seems I've been caught." she smiled, closing the book. "I beg your pardon." she giggled. She faced him. "So...are you the...umm.."she looked at him. "Librarian?" she smiled

Kane gave a little laugh as she asked him if he was the librarian. "Oh what a choice job that would be for me." He chuckled as he looked at her. "No I am not the librarian. Just a mere man searching the market place." He gave a little nod of his head to show he was telling the truth.
Kane ran his finger upon the spine of one of the books before picking it up and staring at the title. "Besides...I'm a bit behind on some of these books so I thought a little look couldn't hurt." He grinned and extended his hand to her. "I'm Kane."

Christine nodded and smiled as he chuckled. "Oh, I see. Well, as long as you are not a soldier, I believe you" she smiled and let out a little laugh. She held the book in her arms as he explained how he was trying to fit some more time for reading in. "Well, you know, it is nice whemn you actually have the time to sit down and read a book." she smiled. "Instead of being chased all the time" she thought to herself. She took his hand and smiled as he introduced himself. "It's nice to meet you Kane. My name is Christine Le' Faye" she smiled. It was fuinny but he looked like he could have passed off as the Prince of the kingdom.

Kane quirked his brow at her lightly. "Are you saying that you have a problem with the soldiers about here?" He smiled, not really being one of them as far as he was concerned. He gave a tiny nod. "Time is something I don't have much of but I'm trying to make for more of it." Kane's eyes fell back upon the book before he placed it among the others once again.
Kane grinned as she gave his hand a little shake. "Such a pretty name. It's very nice to meet you as well." He chuckled as he looked at her. "So what are you doing here? Other than looking at books I mean." Kane laughed at how foolish he suddenly sounded. "I mean what job do you have..." He smiled as he finally got it out.

"Thank you" She smiled, blushing
Christine frowned, not at him but just at the thought of how many times soldiers had tried to jail her and how they killed her parents as a child. "I most certainely do. But it would take forever to explain." she said. She smiled, watching him put the book gently back on it's shelf. "Well I came here to just get away from the....crowds" she said. She then became a bit quiet. "Umm well...I..well I mean...I'm not as important as a soldier or anything." she said

Kane nodded his head to response. "Well I shall hold nothing against you hating me then." He gave a little smile to her before turning to look out upon the people walking along, some standing in groups conversing. "Doesnt' matter." He grinned as he let his eyes fall back upon her. "I didn't ask you if it was...I merely wanted to know what you did. And what does the importance of that you do matter any way? Do you enjoy it...Because that is more than enough reason to be whatever it is that you are." Kane nodded

Christine shook her head. "Oh, no please don't get me wrong. I certainly do not hate you."she said"It's just some soldiers you see." she said. "But no I don't hate you at all."Se grnned back at him and then looked up at him. " Well, you see I dance in the square..it's the only way I can make money."she addmitted. " It keeps bread on the table" she said slightly sighing.

Kane smiled at her. "Well that's good to hear. I'm not like most of the others about here." He crossed his arms lightly. "And I actually pride myself in that. They all seem heartless." He'd met some of the guards here and disliked their coldness instantly. "Oh dancing. There's is nothing wrong with that. I find dancing quite enjoyable and if it keeps you paid then all the better." He grinned. "I think every one should enjoy dancing...whether they want to admit to it or not."

Christine smiled. "Yes it is. So many of them think I'm some kind of criminal. For a minute I thoiught you were going to arrest me or something" she grinned then broke into a smile when he confessed to enjoying dancing. "Well then maybe you should come dance with me sometime. I'm sure my work wouldn't be so lonley then" she smiled. "I hope I don't sound foolish" she thought and blushed.

Kane chuckled. "Oh no..besides. I don't think I'd be much of a person for arrests. I'm too kind hearted off of the battle field." That was one main thing about him. While on the battlefield he was a completely different person. "Hm I think that sounds like a wonderful idea. I need to catch up on some dancing. It's been a few years." He smiled as he watched the people walking about still. There were so many people here which he normally wouldn't have expected. "You may have to show me a few things though. I'm sure that I've fallen behind"

Christine folded her arms calmly and smiled. "Well, I think that ios a very good trait to have for a soldier. They should learn from you." she smiled. He was really nice, not like anybody she had met that was a soldier. Christine smiled grew a little wider. "Well it would be an honor to have such a dance partner" she smiled.

Kane gave a little laugh. "Well It'd be nice if they would but I doubt they'd even think of listening to a thing I said. I'm the new guy so I'm set to follow orders like a good little lap dog." He grinned. Kane shook his head, laughing out right. "You best not say that until you seem me dance. I may enjoy it but that doesn't mean I'm the best." Kane smiled. There was so much about his past that people would probably be thrilled to know, but unfortunately for them he felt no obligation to spilling out his life story.

But I'm sure you will be a fine soldier" she said . At his comment she laughed and then nodded. "Alright, I will e sure top remember that" she said.
