Alezand slipped through the crowd, his hood pulled over his head as he scanned for any possible mischief. He wanted the rest of the day to go off without a hitch. After he was satisfied that there was minimal danger, he signaled to a heavily cloaked female standing on the fringe of the street marketplace. He breathed a sigh of relief as the population of guards stationed here today seemed to be lax. Hopefully he and Adrienne would be able to enjoy their little stroll through the market today.
It had been months since Alezand had last been here. One of his first accomplishments was here when he obtained old clothing of Allaine origin. He had gotten to know the merchants here well and he was a shrewd deal maker, so this place had been a promising resource. He prayed it again came to his use today with his special companion here with him.
He remained vigilant as he waited for Adrienne to catch up. It would be one thing if he was discovered, for he was more than a match for any of the guards that patroled here, but if she was revealed, a grave amount of trouble would they be in...
OCC: I want everyone to refrain from posting until Adrienne has a chance to reply first. thankyou...

Adrienne had made sure she was heavly cloaked she didn't want to get caught after all she was a mage. She shouldn't even been here it was incredibly dangerous if she was revealed.... she had Alezand to protect her though. She saw his signal and walked quickly to catch up with him. Fianlly she caught up with him and whispered, "Is it safe now?" while looking around anxiously

Now this was interesting… Kendall was on routine patrol walking through the market place when he noticed a figure that seemed a bit out of place. No, it wasn’t that they were simply “out of place”; it was more like he had scene that face before. It wasn’t just that odd feeling that had stopped Kendall in his tracks, but rather it was the way that this one apparently did not want to be seen. A fact highlighted by the way he pulled his hood up and stole through the crowd. Kendall stood at an intersecting bit of road with his arms folded over his chest and watched absently as the hooded figure let his gaze dance around curiously as if on guard or looking for signs of disturbance. Narrowing his eyes Kendall watched keenly as he still tried to place that face and where he had seen that person before. Wherever it had been it must have not been good, Kendall simply didn’t like his body language.
Looking away from the lone figure Kendall let his eyes sweep around the rest of the gathered patrons in search of a fellow patrolman, sadly it was duty transition when the new shift would come on leaving the bare minimum amount of men going on rounds throughout the city. By the time Kendall had let his gaze return to the hooded man he saw a smaller cloaked figure now standing next to him. “Very interesting” Kendall thought, already with heroic visions dancing in his head of how he tracked down a pickpocket, roughed him up and returned the stolen goods in front of all to see. Kendall could see it now, of course that would mean that this one would have to steal something to begin with, and if so Kendall would have to catch up to him and hope they weren’t armed.
“Don’t get jumpy, so far they are just a couple of…strange…hooded…suspicious looking people in the middle of the market place.”
Kendall spoke to himself and took a step from where he was standing closer to them as he continued on his rounds. Kendall was not heading towards them per se but rather in their general direction and he made no secret that he had set his eyes upon them. They were not violating any laws, and Kendall was not straying from his duty. So far they were just doing their own thing…

Alezand took note of the guard. He understood the man to be the one who passed through the crowd in Rapaere the day earlier. And the man seemed to identify him as well. Alezand was not worried though. He was one guard, one that was seemingly cautious, and one that also seemed conflicted. Alezand was full aware that he could handle the troop if he proved foolish. He pulled Adrienne closer, and guided her gently through the crowd to the first shop.
The owner was a fine seamstress and wove brilliant dresses and other clothing. And her prices were usually decent. But money was of no object. Most of what Alezand had was given in thanks to his services and though he did not take money from his charges, it was not hard to acquire funds, and this was important to him. More than the gold in his pocket. He hung back and let Adrienne take in the splendor of the modest shop, its interior bursting with colors and scents of various exotic fabrics and dyes. Whilst Adrienne was not paying attention, he leaned to the keeper and whispered something to her..

Adrienne rleaxed as alezand lead her to the first shop. She was amazed by the different dresses and other clothing that hung about. Different colors and sizes she was amazed by the variety of it all. She took in the scents of the fabrics and dyes. She wandered arond the shop for a bit but kept an eye on Alezand to make sure she didn't wander to far from him. Out of the corner of her eye adrienne saw Alezand talking to the seamstress she wondered what he had said to her. She finished looking at all the clothes before going back to Alezand's side.

After waiting for a few minutes she realized that Alezand still didn't seem to notice that she was waiting for him. She sighed in annoyance and said, "Alezand if you are qutie through can we get going?" she did mean to sound rude but she really wasn't a clothing type person besides she wanted to spend more alone time with him before he ran off to fight again. She was a memeber of his Order but had yet to have one simple assignment but of course she could understand why.

OCC: Sorry dear, I had more pressing plots to attend to. NOT a clothes girl, way to spoil a thread, lol. Now I got to think of something else. BTW I got your letter a couple days ago. Its hanging over my bed in my little hooch.
"You sure there is nothing here that interests you, at all? Hmm, thats not good. Then we shall press on," He replied and nodded to the Keeper and her good day. He wrapped himself up in his cloak once more, took her hand in his and stepped once again into the bustle that was the market place. Vendors everywhere shouted their various wares that were on sale, thrusting their merchandise at every passerby that wandered too close to the stands. Claws from various creatures hung on necklaces and stringers. Blades of every conceivable shape and use imaginable were brandished from their sheaths.
Smells of spices choked one's nose, and jars of powders and bottles of fluid, all mysterious in origin and purpose littered the general place. Pots and iron wares hung above one's head and clanged and rang as costumers took interest. Alezand glanced around, and a idea finally formed in his head. It was something he was debating for weeks now, but he finally made up his mind. Now he just needed to find the right shop. His gaze fell upon a large shack with windows bristling with different items. His memory served him in identifying its owner and that he would have what he sought and was a friend to Alezand.
"I need a moment in here, m'dear, I ordered something for my aid bag and I forgot to come get it, what with the excitement of the past months and all. After this, we'll go anywhere you want to go." He purposed. It was a tough decision, given his past, but he was sure this was the right thing. He owed it to himself and to her. He just hoped he was right and that history didn't follow him...

ooc:its okay i don't mind i just got tired of waiting..yeah pretty much sorry i will buy clothes but only when i have to tha tis just the way i am so sorry for ruining it though ic: Adrienne nodded her head sure there were plenty of nice articles of clothing but she didn't really want any of them she didn't really need any either. She smiled as Alezand took her hand, she made sure her hood conceled her face still as they stepped out of the shop. As they walked the smell of spices filled the air causing adrienne to choke a bit. She looked at Alezand and said, "Very well as long as you don't take to long and we can go wherever i want after this." She didn't like the fact she would be left in the mist of all these people but she could take care of herself she just oped no one would realize she was a mage. She knew exactly were she wanted to go after this and the thought made her smile.

OCC: lol, I expected you to come in with me, but no matter, I can still work it.
IC: Alezand kissed her cheek, "I'll shant be long." And he ducked within the shop. The wizen old man that owned the place smiled as the warrior entered. Alezand approached the counter and pointed to a glass case off to the right. "I need to take a look at those, my friend, and to pick up those supplies I requested." The shopkeeper nodded and unlocked the case with a tiny brass key, and brought over the tray to the counter for the Knight to glance over before going into the back room to fetch a box full of bandages and other assorted items.
"Ah yes, I think this one will do the job perfectly." Exclaimed Alezand, holding the object to the light. "How much do I owe you, sir?" The man named his price, which was very reasonable. That was the advantage of being the advocate for the people. The people were then your advocate. Alezand knew he could count on getting anything he needed for the merchants knew that they were helping him protect them. He never asked for much, but they handed it over without question. The kindly gentleman smiled as he watched Alezand wrap the purchase in one of the cloth dressings in the supply box. He opened his hip pouch and placed the rest of the supplies in it, but the wrapped good was put into his right pocket.
He bid the man farewell and stepped back outside to find Adrienne waiting. "Shall we get going? Where is it we go next?" He asked with a smile on his face, his cheeks and nose reddening from the chilly wind that whipped in from the alleyways...

ooc:sorry again but i am glad to hear my letter made it to you consider it an early christmas present Adrienne waited outside in the chilly wind until Alezand came out of the shop. She nodded excited to finally go where she wanted. She grinned at Alezand and said, "Of course we shall." A look of pure happiness and excitement appeared on her face and eyes as she said, "let's go to a book store." Just the though of getting a book or two made Adrienne very happy se just couldn't resist she loved books after all she was a bookworm. she tried not to seem to eager to get to the bookstore but she couldn't help but have a huge grin like a child who knows they are going to a candy store.

Alezand had to laugh. It was just another thing common that the two shared. When he had free time, which was a rare thing indeed, if one wanted to keep him occupied for hours on end, all one had to do was shove him into a bookstore. He couldn't resist reading at least a part of a book before even considering to get it, and thus he would spend hour on hour pouring over potential materiel. Alezand prided himself with his knowledge gained and gleaned form the numerous pages of hundreds of volumes he had in his possession. So going to the bookstore required no twisting of his arm by any sort whatsoever.
"We shall head off then..." He replied and onward they strolled through the bustle of the market. A few dozen yards down the snowy lane stood a modest book emporium of decent selection and reputation. He had stopped in a few times before, but as said before, he had little time these days for leisurely delights. They stepped into the surprisingly warm building and instantly his eyes flashed from title to title, cover to cover. But then he reminded himself that there was another purpose to today, one even more pleasing, if not important...

Adrienne smiled at Alezand's reaction glad that he shared a love of books like she did. Her eyes lit up as they spotted the bookstore. Her smile got even bigger as they stepped inside. She breathed deeply in the smell of books. This was where she belonged amongst books with Alezand by her side. She smiled at Alezand and said, "Now if you will excuse me Alezand the books are calling to me." She lef this side and proceeded to walk over to the books.

"Of course dear, I shall just be over there." He nodded and pointed to a historical section that also conviently was located near the fiction. He began pouring through the dusty, aged pages of various bound tales, but he really was not all attuned to what he was reading, for he was seeing if his deed planned could be performed without hitch here. he watched his companion over the the shelves as she began her search.
He had come to an idea, but it required a certain setup, so he would have to wait and see what would develop. He returned to his book, but still glanced up every so often, looking for an opportunity. The he had on hand actually was a keeper so far, and he put it under his arm before looking for another potential item for purchase...

Adrienne smiled and nodded she walked over to the fiction section and began her search. Her blue eyes payed no attention to the surroundings as she looked at the variety of fiction boks. Whenever a book caught her eye she would reach out and look at it most of them she would put right back but one she opened up and began to read. After reading it for a bit she decided it was a keeper. She tucked it under her arm and once again resumed her search.

OCC: Why do you copy my posts all the time? lol, get ready, cuz you can't copy whats coming up next, ;-P IC:He saw his shot and walked up behind her, "I can take that for you." He said, and without waiting for her reply or protest, he slipped the book out from under her arm. One hand was already in his pocket extracting the item purchased at the previous store, and as his other hand passed it under the retrieving arm, he slid the trinket under the cover of the book. All slight of hand. He worked hard to hold back a grin. He could just imagine the shock when she opened the book.
All was set, now to wait. He was a mischievous one, and damn proud of it too. He just looked at her benignly waiting her reaction to his obvious chivalry, which was to be expected given his character...
