She felt a smile come across her face. She watched the cat and said,"Thank you, Napier. I do not want to think of what would have happened if you didn't help." She looked at him, soaking in his dark hair and his hyponizing eyes. 'My, he is hansome,' she thought. she blushed a little and looked at the floor again.

He saw her turn red a little, he then turned toward the wall, feeling himself blush alittle himself. She is beautiful, he thought.

Not wanting to seem a burden, she tried to say, 'A little,' but her stomach beat her to it. It growled loudly. She looked down at it and laughed a little. "I guess I am." She smiled at Napier and began to get up when she looked at her arm. There were red marks from where the man held her but that wasn't what she was staring at. The black cloth, that she wore, was missing. As casually as she could, she got up from the floor as she covered one part of her arm.

He was never mean to anyone, uless they were mean to another. He reached into a cabnet and pulled out some bread.
" here" he said handing her some
Reaching back in he grabed 2 small cups, then pulled out a small container. Pouring the liquid into the cups he handed her one of the cups.
" its water" he said

Reluctantly, she uncovered the white four-pointed star. Taking the bread and cup, she began to eat, feeling a little uneasy but, smiled at Napier and said,"Thank you. I never liked people to see it."

Napeir turned toward her.
"a little bit of both" he said " and don't ask me to teach these people anything, reason standing, if you tried you would ether get laughed at or nearly get killed"
He poured another cup of water and looked through a crack in the wall.
" what were you doing in the city anyway" he asked.

"Unfortunately.........I live here." she frowned at the floor, taking a sip of water. "I've lived here all my life. I never once leave the city. I would have.......oh, how much I wanted to.......but.....my father is ill......and I'm the only one he's got." She looked at Napier in complete sadness and loss. "I'm trapped," she tried to laugh.

He gazed into her eyes, green meeting green, and he felt a warm feeling wash over him.

Her surprise almost made her drop her cup. No one had given her such words, such kind, warming words. As one tear escaped, a sunlit smile grew. She mouthed breathlessly,"Thank you." Slowly she placed a hand on his cheek, stroked it with her thumb, and then.....placed a small, light kiss on his other cheek.

She was speechless, her mind, a bright blank. She opened her mouth but words nor sound left her. She swallowed and tried again, nothing. She turned around and took a last gulp of her water.
'He wants to help me.'
'He just kissed me.'
'He wants to help.....and he just kissed me.' she thought
'It.....felt........warm....and safe.' She began to think, maybe.......
"um......Napier.......can I ask you .....to...." She put down her cup and walked up to him..........and putting her hands on either side of her head, fingers touching the glossy black strands........she placed her lips on his.

Napeir felt her lips touch his, he felt warmth wash over him as he carefully rapped his hands around her. He slowly came away so that he could see her eyes, only making him want to hold her forever.
" what ever you were going to ask, then yes" he said before lightly putting his lips to hers again.
