The noise of clashing steel was a common noise in the Warrior's Barracks, as so was other annoying, loud noises. But the noise always reminded Mazus that he was in the Warrior Class, which he was proud of. His parents was proud of him as well, but it would for them not to be, since his father was a blacksmith and his mother was a peasant. Mazus stood right outside of the Barracks, in his heavy Black armor. His large Axe was in his left hand, which was his dominant hand. "Another day of training," Mazus whispered. The constant training never bothered Mazus, he knew it was an opportune time to keen his skills. He opened the door and entered the Barracks
He came from his little house, that his parents lived with him. Technically, it was Mazus' parents home, but now that his father was retired, he had to pay for it. He found it hard to pay for the house with Militia's pay, but he knew he could change that if he worked harder. His favorite place was the Tavern, which he wasted a lot of money on. Mazus drank a lot, but he would never get drunk before training, or during war time. He did, however, came with hangovers, but luckily today wasn't one of those days. Mazus knew the less money he spent on booze, would mean the more money to pay for the house, and other necessities like food.
Mazus saw one of his sparring partners, who was another Axe wielder. But, he knew all of his moves, so he wanted to train with someone else. He was a little early for training, but then again he always thought that there is no wrong time for training. His eyes watched as other Warriors trained, and sparred with each other. Sometimes, Mazus found it helpful to study other Warriors spar with each other. Sometimes he learned something that he didn't know, or find weaknesses of his fellow Warriors. Mazus never pointed them out however, mostly because he was only militia, and some people probably would ignore him. Hopefully someone will come soon to spar with, or else I would have to spar with the same old guy, he thought to himself.

For As The Day Rolled By Paine Had Been Wondering around. She had Been Wondering to all the other shops and had been looking to see what she could find that she could buy. She had had a boring day. Paine had been wondering around after a long's day of being at the blacks smith;s shop making some swords. Paine Carry's around her sword looking for somewhere to train. She had entered a area called the warriors Barracks. She had Wondered around it looking for someone to challenge. As She walked in she looked at everyone there training. She eyed people watching them as they trained. As She saw that everyone was occupied she had found somewhere to sit and polished her sword a bit.
After Polishing her sword for a while she looked around again and saw Someone looking around at everyone else. She stood up and took her sword with her. she walked over to him " Well hello there sir...." she says as she stood ther waiting for a reply if he had answered her pain was patient but not all the time. but today she was she stood there flicked her hair back.

Mazus heard a voice, and looked in the direction that it came from. There he saw a female, which he recognized easily. "Hello, young blacksmith," Mazus said quietly. He knew she was a blacksmith, because he always liked to watch the blacksmiths work, mostly because his father was one, and it was what he wanted to do as a child, but he decided to become a Warrior instead. "So, what brings you to the Warrior's Barracks? I see your sword, so do you fight?" Mazus asked the female. He was getting bored, and he wanted to talk to someone, or train. But, talking came to be the first thing he had a chance at.
Mazus wondered if she was also a warrior, he hadn't seen her here before, but then again, the Barracks was a pretty big building. His Axe remained in his left hand. His armor was covering most of his body, and his helmet was covering most of his face. His eyes are half covered, but it doesn't hinder his vision too much to worry. Mazus looked to his left, as he saw two people sparring, he then looked away, because he wanted to concentrate on the conversation, not anything else that has nothing to do with him.

Paine looked at him and said "Please Call Me Paine" she says to him looking at him with a smiling. Before she even came Here she had been working at the blacksmiths shop. She had made shore she was clean and because even tho she would get dirty again but she didn't care. " Well i came here to either train or find someone to talk to at this time since i been working all day and also i am a warrior i need to train." she says to him. " yes I Do fight i am a warrior" she says to him as well while she stood there. She was happy that she had found someone to talk to lately since she was being ignored jsut because she was a female and that she was fighting and not being a lady and staying home with the family to take care of people. Well Paine's family is no longer alive they were killed and she became a warrior to become strong and fight for her family.

"Don't take what I said the wrong way. I never seen you around here, so I wasn't sure if you were a Warrior or not. Also, I haven't seen many Blacksmiths that were also Warriors," Mazus explained. He took his Axe, and leaned it against his left shoulder. His armor protected him from any damage he could of gotten from doing that. Then, Mazus set his Axe on a table, near the wall, and on the same table took a dull sword. It was easy to find dull weapons around the Barracks, because it is safer to use dull weapons. There is no point of risking careless injuries when training.
He then took off his helmet, to reveal his long black hair, and brown eyes. Then he took off his body armor. "There's no need for me to wear armor right now," he quietly said. He left his leather leggings on, because they didn't bother him. "So, since this isn't a place for talking, maybe we can do your other choice, and train. How about a little sparring? Two Militia, one on one, it should be a fair fight," Mazus said. He guessed she was Militia, because she addressed him as "Sir" Which wouldn't be a fitting title for someone of a lesser rank.

"If You wish" she says to him. " I mostly try to keep myself incontrol of my sword" she syas to him standing there waiting for him she was ready for anything to fight. Paine was a good fighter and had been waiting to fight for a while against the other army of people but training with other people was a good thing. " its Alright" she says to him about what he said before he said anything about training with each other. She had reached in her pocket and put her necklace which her mother gave her before she had died to remember a day were she could fight back for her family and kill the one who killed her family.

"It is always good to keep in control of your weapon, mostly in wars," Mazus said quietly, pointing out the obvious. He checked the dull sword, to see if there were and problems with it, besides it being dull. But it is a sparring sword. There were no other problems with it. Mazus used to fight with swords, but he switched to Axes, when he found out he fought better with them. I wonder how good she is, the Militia said to himself. He figured she had to be pretty strong, she's a blacksmith, and strength is needed for that job. Also, blacksmith's makes weapons, and they usually get a chance to play around with some weapons they make. A good example of that was Darius, Mazus' Father. His father always played around with the swords he made, which is probably why Mazus first used a sword as his weapon of choice.
Mazus stared at Paine, his brown eyes, visible. He held the sword with two hands, and then only holding it with his left hand, he pointed it at Paine. It was kind of cliche, but Mazus always did this when he started duels. But this time, he wanted her to make the first move. "Paine, I'll let you start this duel."

Paine had stood there she took her sword and put it up to her fighting position above her shoulder ready to train. She might be alittle rusty since she hasn't fought for a bit. She was ready with no charge at all ready to attack. She focused herself and swung her sword at him trying to make it a good training session.

Mazus watched as she swung her sword at him, and as quickly as he could, he tried to block it with the Sparring Sword. He was able to block it, making the clang sound, that was common in the Warrior's Barracks. However, he did got push back a little as the blades made contact. He noted to himself that he should remember she had good strength, probably more than he had. Mazus didn't want to get in the position that needed better strength than his opponent, so he needed to use his head. I need to use my speed, and my cleverness to be able to beat her, he thought to himself. Mazus kept in mind that this was only a training session, so he didn't had to win, but he would try like hell to beat her.
No matter what size, race, or gender, the nineteen year old Militia took every fight the same way. "Now it is my turn to go on the offensive," Mazus whispered to himself. He held the sword in his left hand, and using his little above average speed, he sliced at Paine. Knowing no damage could come from the dull sword he was using, he didn't bother to hold back. His clumsiness almost took over, as he almost fell, while he took the swing at her.

As Paine Noticed that he had blocked her swing of the sword she pulled her sword back and swung it again protecting herself from his swing blocking it. Paine Moved back abit trying to concintrate right now. It is only training she thought to herself Don't over do yourself today Paine She thought again to herself. As Paine blocked his shot she suddenly andn quickly went back and swung her sword at him.

Mazus was mad at himself for missing Paine, but he knew he always get her next attack. He watched as she swung her sword at him again, but this time he knew he wouldn't get the sword in position to blocked it. He turned his back in the direction of the swinging sword, and it made contact with his back. I have to ready right after I attack, I should always be prepared, Mazus told himself. One attack doesn't deserve congratulations, only total victories, and Mazus hated when his sparring partner praises him, or wants some praise. He hoped that Paine wasn't that type of a person.
"Oh, by the way, my name is Mazus," he told her, as he remembered he failed to introduce himself before the duel. The Militia then planned out his next attack. He wanted to take a slice at the legs, which this fight had none of as of yet. Mazus lunged forward, and sliced at the front of Paine's legs.

She stopped her sword after Mazus had turned around she wasn't gonna hurt him she was only training. But what she didn't notice is that Mazus took a swung at her leg. She didn't pay attention and fell alittle bit on her knee. She was furious about this she wasn't to happy about what he had done. She stood up and stood there. " The Name Is Paine" she syas to him standing up taking her sword and swinging it at his body.

Mazus finally made some contact, but he knew he would have t be a lot better than that to be able to pull out a victory in this practice duel. "I know you name is Paine, you told me," the Militia said, with a faint smile. This time, Mazus wasn't able to block Paine's swing at his body. He had no time to block it, she moved quick. Luckily, Paine doesn't go full out in training, or he easily could of been dead. Mazus took his sword and raised it in front of his body, still below his head. There is no reason to stop because of a would be casualty, he thought to himself.
Then slowly, Mazus took a few step back, and then moved forward, only a little bit quicker. He then lunged forward once more, and took a swing at her left arm.

Paine stood there breathing weirdly. " Ohh Kinda Forgot" she says to him standing there. But she noticed quickly that he had swung to aim for her left arms and she quickly moved away from his swing and slightly ducked and swung for his Legs like his did with her. But mostly she was quick but also trying to keep her balance as she ducked and swung at the same time.

Mazus tried to jump up in time, to jump over her swing, but he failed. Her sword caught his legs, making him fall. He hit the ground hard, but he felt okay. Thank god I wasn't wearing my armor. I would have had fallen harder Mazus thought to himself. While he fell, Mazus lost grip of the sword, and he saw it to his left. He got up, not grabbing the sword, so Paine wouldn't start another attack. "I think that is enough for now, you knocked the wind out of me, when I fell," Mazus told Paine. He knew she won the spar, but he didn't mind.
Mazus picked up the sword, and moved it out of the way. Better safe than sorry. he told himself. He also didn't want to get punished for leaving swords lying around the barracks. He looked back at his stuff, his armor, and his Axe. They were right where he left them. "So, is stopping the spar, okay for you?? Mazus asked Paine.
