Aleph carried Evee inside and placed her on a bed. He rummaged through his coin purse and pulled out ten gold coins. He placed the coins on a table and said to Miss Oni, "I'll, er, I'll just get out of your way." He went through a doorway into the next room, which was obviously a kitchen. "Will you just let me know when you're finished with her?" He really did hope that Evee would be all right. He was starting to like her, the way a person likes and old friend they've just met again for the first time, even though he'd onlyknown her for less than an hour.

"Ah yes of course boy, she is in good hands I assure you. Don't let the wrinkles fool ya." Miss Oni said to Aleph with a wink before she saw him leave the living room. It took at least an hour and a half but Miss Oni managed to sew Evee's wound up and give her a special mixture of herbal teas and medicinal herbs as a pain reliever. Miss Oni swiped the 10 gold coins from off the table and let them slide into her apron pocket, along with countless other coins. Her services were worth every coin. Miss Oni walked into the kitchen with a warming smile, the first one she's shown all night. "She'll be just fine, lot's of bed rest will be needed so she doesn't open up the wound again. I'm sure you can see to that as her uh...What is your relation to miss Evee lad?" She asked not wanting to say the wrong thing.
"Never mind, whatever your relation I'm sure you won't mind looking after the gal. She lives alone in the village over yon. She doesn't have anyone anymore. I took care of that girl since she came here some years ago. Young helpless thing too. Only 7 yrs. old I believe she was, she fended for herself like a soldier she did....OH! Look at me ramblin' on, I'm sure you didn't want to hear all that. Evee is awake now after some serious amounts of herbs..." Miss Oni stated with a stressed sigh. She looked back up at Aleph. " Go on now, go to her. Poor dear was delirious when she woke up..." She said trying to shoo him out of the kitchen to Evee.

Aleph flushed slightly and started stuttering when Miss Oni asked about his relationship to Evee. "Oh, I'm not...I mean, I just...er..." He trailed off, happy that she'd kept going. When she had finished speaking, he stood and entered the room. Evee looked much better than she had before. All doubts that he'd had about her chances for life had vanished. Now he was sure she'd be up in only a few hours. "You, um, look better. You're feeling better, then?" he asked, slightly unsure of what to say. Swords and battlefields he knew well, but conversation with women he barely knew was an unknown skill for him.

Evee took a deep breath then sighed, a slight smile arose. Something she didn't expect to accomplish in this situation. "I'm feeling better thanks to you." Evee said softly. She just sounded tired. Evee clutched the blanket she was under and just looked at Aleph, it was all she could do right now. "What did Miss Oni say about my condition?" Evee asked wanting to know, she hoped more stiches weren't involved.

Aleph walked over and sat on the edge of the bed next to Evee's. "She said that you were delirious when you woke, that you had a lot of herbs, and that you need a lot of bed rest to keep from opening the wound again," he replied. Miss Oni might have been confident that he could ensure that Evee would stay in bed, but he wasn't. He'd been planning on leaving in the morning, after all, and could hardly stick around to nurse anyone back to health. "She also told me that you live in the next village over. Do you need me to get you there, or will you stay in the city a bit longer?" he asked. It would be no problem for him to transport her home. That village hadn't been on his route, but he could stop there. Who knows, there could be some work for him.

"Bed rest, wonderful..." Evee said with a stressed sigh. Evee hated to be still, she had to move around. But this time she would just have to deal with it. She looked around the living room then she looked back at Aleph expressionless. "...I put you through enough trouble already, Maybe I should just stay. I know you probably have more important things to do than worry about me." Evee stated letting a small smile creep onto her lips. She really wanted to go home and be comfy in her own bed, but she didn't want to be a burden to Aleph. He had done so much already...

Aleph stood and stretched. He was tired, and it was very late. "It wouldn't be any trouble. I'm headed that way later anyways," he told Evee. "I would just have to come by here and pick you up," he added. For now, though, it was time to head back to the inn he was staying at. Try as he might, he couldn't stifle a yawn and contented himself with hiding it behind his hand. He continued stretching and felt his back pop. He started heading for the door, with every intention of making his way back to the inn and collapsing on the bed. He would just have to come back later and see if she still wanted to stay or if he was needed to carry her to her house.

Evee layed there with a tired smile, she noticed Aleph's fatigue as well. "Go on to your bed. You can come for me in the Morn' if it is best for you." Evee told him hoping he would agree. She had kept him from his own tasks long enough. She hated to feel like she was holding someone back, it made her feel weak in a sense. Miss Oni came back into the living room and stood beside Evee with another cup of warm medicinal herbs. "Leaving young man?" Miss Oni asked surprised. Evee looked up at her and smiled. "He's gotta get some some sleep as well Miss Oni...." Evee said to her. Miss Oni just nodded and smiled before handing Evee the steaming cup. "Good Night Aleph." Evee said to him before he could take his leave. Miss Oni just did her classic wave and walked away. Evee sat up in her bed to drink the warm herbs and almost frowned at it, she knew the taste would be horrid.

Aleph opened his mouth to answer Miss Oni, but only yawned. He nodded his head to the two ladies and opened the door. "I shall return for you, Evee," he said. "After I have slept a bit," he added. He stepped outside and added before closing the door, "Good night and peace to you ladies."

OOC: Sorry it took so long for me to post >_<
IC:
Evee just nodded as Aleph left. That night, Evee drank plenty of herbal remedies and had lots of sleep. The next morning, Evee sat in the kitchen with Miss Oni finishing up breakfest dishes. Evee was able to stand straight up and walk with no problem. She just wouldn't be able to run or anything for a while. Once she was done with the dishes, Evee sat outside on the porch. She wondered when Aleph would return, though she didn't know why she felt as if she missed him. Evee never forgot how concerned his face was as he carried her here.

Once he'd made it back to his room at the inn, Aleph had collapsed on the bed. He'd been completely beat, and hadn't had the energy to take off his armor. Nor had he had the time before he'd fallen asleep. It wasn't the first time he'd slept in his armor, but that didn't make it comfortable. He'd woken up sore but rested, and had made sure to saddle his horse. He'd been sure he could remember the way to Miss Oni's.
An hour later, he finally found the house he was looking for, and found Evee sitting in front of it. Dismounting, he walked up to the porch and bowed. "Are you able to ride, or must I walk you home?" he asked.

Evee looked up at Aleph and smiled, but had to squint because the sun was reflecting off his armor. "I should be fine riding. Thank you." Evee said standing, her thin cloak falling off her thighs and behind her. Her black hair fell over both her shoulders but the rest layed down her back, Evee's ruby eyes shimmered in the morning sun. She was happy to see Aleph again, even though it's been a few hours. She liked being around him, he wasn't too shy of handsome either. She made sure her weapons were secure on her hip and she walked up beside Aleph. She petted his horse softly, she loved horses but sadly didn't oen one.

Beht, Aleph's horse, turned his head to look at the lady petting him. After staring at hre for a few seconds, he turned back. She didn't look like she was going to harm him at all. Aleph also watched Evee for a bit before speaking. "Do you need a boost?" he asked. He didn't know how much experience she had in riding, so he played it safe. An inexperienced rider wouldn't bother Beht, but one scrambling around and trying to climb him certainly would. While he waited for an answer, Aleph pulled a small bag of feed from a pack on his hip and started feeding the horse. The poor beast hadn't had anything to eat yet this morning. Neither had Aleph, for that matter, but he could eat on the road. The horse couldn't.

Evee grinned. "I may be a girl but I know how to ride..." She said with a wink, assuming he'd take those words and twist them anyway he wanted in his mind. Evee got on the horse's back with ease and waited for Aleph. She watched as Aleph fed the horse, he seemed to love animals as much as she did. Not by just seeing him feed the horse, but how he obviously cared for his pets. The horse's coat was shiny and soft, as it should be. Evee looked around, this was a very quiet village for it to be morning. Usually there would be people up and busy, but not here.
Maybe that's why Miss Oni stays here, so her patients can be comfortable without all the noise. Evee wondered where her life would take her and where she would be 10 years from now. Hopefully she wouldn't die alone.

Aleph completely missed the innuendo as he answered, "Well that's good. Not enough girls know how to ride, it seems." He waited for Beht to finish his feed bag before mounting the horse right behind Evee. Normally, he would sit in front and have the second rider holding onto him from behind, but she was injured. He wanted her where he could see her and hold onto her if need be. Using his toes, he nudged the horse into a fast walk. Once they got out of the city he'd urge Beht up to a slow trot, but nothing faster. Anything faster would jostle them about more, and that could reopen Evee's wound.
