As Evee rode with Aleph holding her, she looked down at his many hands around her waist. The wind blowing her dark raven hair back away from her face so she couldn't hide. She stayed silent, not bothered at all that they were close. Evee then looked up again, seeing all the scenery slowly passing them. "We need to turn here..." Evee said pointing at the street that was approaching them on the right side. Her hand pointing showed her naked arm and her long fingernail, her nails weren't claws but they were long. Evee had her share of metal rings on and even this slightly tarnished gold bracelet that seemed to have her initals in it. she had it for a while.

"Alright," Aleph muttered. He pulled lightly on Beht's reins to turn the horse. They were almost outside the city walls, and it wouldn't be too long after that until Evee was home. Right now, though, Aleph was rather hungry. He pulled a small packet from the same pack he'd taken Beht's feed bag from and unwrapped it. Inside were a small loaf of bread, a chunk of cheese, and a piece of cured meat. He ripped all the food in half and said to Evee, "Would you like something to eat?" it wasn't too much, but there was certainly enough gor them to both eat.

Evee looked over her shoulder at him then smileda little. "That's very kind of you Aleph, but I had breakfast already. You enjoy..." Evee said in a soft voice. She had heard Aleph's tummy rumble before they made the turn, she knew he was hungry. Before long Evee's house was right beside them and she didn't hesitate to tell Aleph. "We're here...." She said in a calm voice. She didn't sound happy to be home but she was. It's just that memories of Maril coming here for the first time saddened her. He had left Avaren without a word to her, she was so stupid for believing he loved her. Maybe he did but didn't want to make her worry. At any rate Evee was healing from the emotional scars but not that fast.

Aleph had scarfed down his food when Evee had rejected it. Though not the best fare, it had tasted delicious to him. The time it took to get to her house passed far too quickly for his liking, but there was nothing to be done about that. He dismounted and offered his hand to help her dismount as well. Beht turned to look at him and gave a soft whinny before looking at Evee. Aleph chuckled and shook his head. Sometimes he almost thought that horse was as smart as his master. It was a highly intelligent horse, at the least.

"Thank you, what a gentleman...." Evee said before taking his hand and getting down from his horse carefully. Upon her taking the last step to get off the horse, she fell against Aleph accidently. Her eyes were looking straight up at his blue ones. Embarrassed, her cheeks turned almost red. She looked away from him before she stood up and stepped back. "....Sorry...." Evee said without looking at Aleph, she felt so embarrassed.
Evee walked towards her porch but then stopped when she got to the door, she looked over her shoulder at him. "I'm fixing you something to eat. It's the least I could do, you know with you making sure I got home and all...." Evee said with a warm smile before she opened her door and walked in. She left her door open so Aleph could come in. While she was inside, she went to her kitchen area and took out some cured meat and eggs she stored just right. She began to make Aleph something to eat now, and some for him to take on the road.

When Evee had stumbled, Aleph had reached out his other hand to catch her. Of course, it had moved with her and he'd ended up with his arm around her. He let go immediately, of course, but the memory of her against him did not fade quickly. "Um, that's ok," he muttered, somewhat embarrassed himself. Though red eyes were rather unusual, hers were lovely.
"Stay," he ordered Beht. The horse would obey that command even if someone tried to steal him. He then followed Evee into the house and stood in the entrance looking around. "You really don't have to do this, you know," he called out.

Evee started a fire and put the eggs in a pan over the fire place, followed by the meat in a seperate pan of course. Evee had made the fire place with bared shelves so she could use it to cook as well. "I don't mind Alpeh really. Have a seat and relax." Evee had a wooden table set that took up most of the empty space in her house, for the table was kinda long. Evee also had some furs on her floor to make things comfy in her living room. she had some wooden benches made and tied furs on the seatings, very classy for a woman's house.
Once Evee was done with her cooking, the whole cottage smelled of eggs and meat. Evee walked over to the table and set the large round-metal plate on the table. It was steaming and the aroma was intoxicating. She even prepared a lunch sac for him with the rest of the food. If the way to a man's heart was his stomach then Evee couldn't wait to see how he liked her cooking. She's heard lot's of good things but Aleph's opinion mattered because he's never tasted her food. And she wanted to impress him, she felt something for him but she wasn't sure what yet.

Aleph sat down as he was told. He wasn't really very hungry, but if she wanted to cook for him, he'd eat. Of course, with the delicious smells of the meat and eggs cooking, he quickly became hngry. When she brought the food out to him he took a bite and savored it. After swallowing, he looked up at Evee. "Absolutely delicious," he said. "You should have some yourself." Willing hostess or not, he wasn't going to make her wait on him while he sat around eating. There was a difference between enjoying hospitality and taking advantage of it, and that would definitely cross the line. Besides, he wanted her to sit and eat with him.

Evee smiled happily and proud when he complimented her cooking then offered her to eat with him. Evee sat down in a chair next to him and plucked a chunk of egg from the mound on his plate. Evee put it in her mouth and ate it without hesitation. (00C: Umm, did the medieval times have forks? I am pretty sure they ate with their hands though.....>_<) "Good as I hoped it would be." Evee said smiling at Aleph, he was really quite the eye candy, hands down. Evee was glad she had met him, it was a blessing in disguise.
"You are really different Aleph, I don't know any man like you." Evee stated as she stared in his eyes, they were such a pretty blue Evee couldn't help but look in them. She sat there curious as to where Aleph might be journying to, she hoped that he wouldn't be gone long so she might be able to see him again.

((OOC: Nope, no forks. They did have spoons and knives, though.))
Aleph smiled shyly and muttered, "Thanks." He wouldn't be surprised if his face was turning pink, he was rather unused to compliments from pretty women. If it was indeed true that the path to a man's heart lay through his stomach, then Evee had an easy path ahead of her. Aleph was greatly enjoying the meal she had created for him. His only regret was that it would soon end and he'd be leaving again. He'd have to make sure to come back to the city often.

Evee saw the pink flush in his cheeks and smiled slightly. "So how long are you going to be gone?" Evee asked, though you could hear the hint of sadness in her voice. Evee waited for his answer knowing she might not like it. She wished he could stay, she wished there was something she could do to make him stay. But she didn't know what to do. Evee had feelings for Aleph but she wasn't sure at all if it was mutual, she didn't want to seem desperate. She had been in love once, or at least she thought. Evee wasn't sure if she should let her heart open again, she was afraid it would be shattered again. Evee was afraid to love, to feel. It scared her now that she had feelings for him.

"I really don't know," Aleph replied in between bites. "I ride around random villages for a few months during the summer, so I might be back next week, or I might not make it back until next year." He knew that it was more likely that he'd be around in less then two weeks, though. He was becoming rather attracted to Evee, and didn't want to be that far from her for too long. sadly, it looked like he'd have to be leaving very soon. They'd almost finished off the food.

As Evee heard his final words, she looked away as she stood up from the table. "I see..." Evee said sadly, she really wanted him to stay but it appeared it wouldn't happen the way she wanted. She hated saying good bye to people all together, but she had tender feelings for Aleph and she was sad that he would leave. Evee walked to the door, opened it, then went outside. She had to really take this in and be strong about it, the best thing she could do right now is have a moment to take it in. Evee went to the back of her cottage and layed in the grass looking up at the sky.
A silent tear came out of her eye and rolled down the side of her head, she wiped it off trying to be strong about this but it didn't make her feel better. Another guy was leaving her, for how long she had no idea. "...Everytime, they leave me....No one stays, everyone goes....." Evee said to herself sadly. She really started to like Aleph, she liked him alot. And now that he was leaving she didn't know what to do. She hoped he didn't think her rude to leave out like that.

Aleph was surprised when Evee left so suddenly. He figured she just needed a few minutes alone, so he didn't run after her immediately. He finished the meal before she returned, so he got up and exited the cottage. It didn't look like she was out front, so he went over to Beht and patted the horse's head. "Have you seen Evee, boy?" he asked halfheartedly. As smart as the horse was, he probably didn't understand what Aleph was asking, or else wouldn't know how to respond. Aleph was pleasantly surprised, though, when the horse shook his head in the same direction twice. Towards the right side of the cottage.
Aleph walked around that side, but still didn't see Evee. He had nothing to lose, so he continued around to the back, where he found her lying in the grass, talking softly to herself. He walked over, and noticed the glistening of a tear on her cheek as he did so. "Is...everything all right?" he asked softly. He didn't know if he'd upset her by what he'd said or if it was something else, but he really hoped it wasn't the former.

Evee quickly sat up and wiped her face, her back turned to Aleph. Her hair layed around her shoulders and her face was hidden. Evee just stared at the ground sadly. "....I'm always being left alone...Just when I start to like someone they disappear or have to leave...." Evee paused before standing up, still turned away from Aleph. She was too upset to look at him. "....What's wrong with me? Am I not worth loving?" Evee asked openly, not really directing it towards Aleph but asking anyway. She was sore inside, she really felt worthless.
