To Paine: But then its just like someone made a thread in the OOC board where people could just talk like that. Really, the only difference between that and the chatroom is the thread isn't self updating.

Hmm... i like this idea... becaus ei have problem telling my friends that I need to go offline soon kekeke they can always check there because the message would be posted there immediately... they don't have to go to their inbox.

erm...i'm new here...but anyway,i think the chat box is a good idea...with that,we can talk to people whom we are not rping with...and we can access it from any board,any thread...

One site I am a member on has a Cbox that only appears on the home page and in the inbox. *shrugs* I dont really mind it, and i have dailup. but some people may be pickyer than others. But hey, its not our decision. XP

I think chatboxes are rather unnecissary. Its just for the people too lazy to make a thread or PM someone. Even if you think it will make it easier to talk to everyone, everyone may not even pay attention to the chatbox. Also I was on two different sites and once they got a chatbox they died shortly after. I'm not sure if the cbox had anything to do with it; I just feel like bringing this up. To me, Chatboxes are annoying. But if everyone else besides me seems to want one on this site I cant do anything...

I agree if this site has a c-box, as a noob and a lazy one..lol... with a c-box it would help the noobs problems, they can ask question on the c-box beside having to wait for a reply on the PM, and sometimes waiting for a admin to reply the PM can be boring (no offense admin, please dont kill me..lol) and beside with the c-box we can socialize more.....even with people who we never RP with.....

Problem is, if you just ask any old person, for example, no offense meant, but you are an example, you asked Eragon if warriors could use magic. He may say yes. But it is forbidden, strictly. So, why do you deal with the admins taking forever? Because they'll annoy you to death if you are wrong.
Besides, if people want to socialize, we have the OOC board for that. Or, they can get on any instant messenger service. But really, there is no reason to lag up the site with one. Think about it, we have all those special features that have to load, and the animated background....it builds up.
