[DUBBLE POST ZOMG]
I have an idea: for all mundane, non-magical creatures, one must be tested by Therul. For all creatures of myth and magic, one must be tested by me. That way, we can count on a definate, fair system of awarding good players with phat lewt ^.^

Well, lets put it like this. The reason why I don't think we should have the tests because Thurel just so happens to be very inactive. And if we were to have tests for certain pets, I believe that it shouldn't be the same ones that test for a rank increase.

Of course not; they'll be tests of OOC preference. Quite simple, really - if I/we think you are a good enough RPer, you pass ^.^

I agree Cain, and am willing to help make this list if you need to. This is an issue that needs to be addressed, not just with dragons but with mounts. If I catch another dragon in Avaren it will be captured and beheaded as the last one was, I believe I have one more public execution to do for another dragon, but I do not want to wish for another. Same goes for pegasi and griffons and all of that, right now you shouldnt have them and if you enter Avaren with one it will be detained and it's head put near the blue dragon's upon the gates for a warning to all. But dragons arent the only mounts needing to be addressed. I do not know if you guys realize, but horses, especially decent ones, are really expensive because of the fact you need to buy the horse (a large fee) and the fact you need a Stable to put it in and feed it and such. No normal person is going to logically own an amazing horse, I am sorry. So maybe that should be added to this. I think things like cats and dogs and birds and the like, as long as they are *normal* then they should be allowed to be kept, but major things need to be taken into some consideration and making someone earn it is the best way I believe. I have only a comment to make: I have never seen a woman as twisted as you are. And Saphira and I would continue to haunt this place as ghosts. Obviously I couldn't touch human beings. Bother!

Oh my, so off topic and pointless!
You just don't know when to stop.
No one likes a person who kicks a dead horse.

I'll kick a dead horse IC just for you. <3
Erm, yeah.
So would warriors have magicky pets? Acause I have a feeling that Riannesan will just chop all their heads off. Not that that's a bad thing, but it seems like a waste to do all that and just have its head chopped off.

At any rate, I've taken a slew of critters an broken them into three sub-categories, tossing out a lot of the "minor" ones in favor of a "familiar" option, which would generally include just about everything smaller than a dog. Although, I'm thinking of breaking the "magical creatures" category into smaller ones for more mythical creatures (pegasus) and ones that actual have magical powers/properties (pheonix).
Regular critters: Horse elephants wolves bears boars Big cat (think lion)
Magical critters: Familiar Dragon Griffin Unicorn phoenix pegasus drakes chimera leviathan Sphinx Hippogriff Basilisk Hydra Manticore Thestral
Thoughtless flunkies: elemental spirit Golem "Skellies"

Hmm, I like it Cain. I imagine that regular birds such as hunting hawks and ravens could be considered in the regular critters bit in your scheme, hmm? I'm working on maybe some others for you, but so far, it is a good start.
