Susan was taken away she was still bleeding, her wound was half fixed up so that it still hurt as part of her punishment. She sat in her room with ten gaurds all of whom she knew this was impossible how did the Queen find out Nexus was involved he had left for the armoury. Now the only person that could save her was the ghost of Eragon or Strife she needed to get out there was no way she was getting out of here alive if she escaped her trial was probaley fake and her head was going to be on a pike by the end of the week.

"And so we come to the one regarded as most dangerous criminal of the moment." Came a soft voice outside of Susan's cell, even as a robed figure drew into the dingy light of the dungeons. "It seems you have more than enough guards to keep you company at least. After all, we wouldn't want you getting bored, now would we?" he said, derision evident in his tone.
"Let us see," he said, beckoning a scribe foreword. Unrolling a piece of parchment, he read aloud it's contents, "You are charged with acting as an accomplice to other heathens and possibly harboring such heathens against the Church, resisting arrest by the guards of Avaren, attempting avoidance of a trial for your crimes, and attempted jail breaking along with other suspected criminals."
"You realize," he said, rolling back up the piece of parchment and tapping it against the bars of her cell, "Any single one of those could easily land you a pleasant extended stay in your current abode. Combined, they could easily spell execution. You might, of course, have been able to get off easy were it not for the final accusation."
"High treason against the crown of Avaren." he said, shaking his head slowly, "You realize, of course, that there are few worse crimes one can commit short of selling ones soul to evil. Yet still, this is a fair trial. If you can prove yourself innocent, you shall be let go immediately. Explain to me why you felt it necessary to commit such crimes and I will take your reasoning into consideration."

"why try I protected the Citizens of Avaren with all my lfe I scrubed church floors before joining the city gaurd I pray to god three times a day I go to church. But high treason for saying that my father was a monach and I am not is Ridiculus and I help Eraggon before the law was passed it was my duty to the crown to protect evryone In this City and Eragon was a helpless Soul dieing I could not let him die on the floor of the house of God.I was forced to act as my Duty and the same applies to Fae a relationship started before the Law was passed. Now I was once Defended the house of God and I am a christian and now they say I betrayed it I am a or was a Law Enforcer and proud of my title. And why are you here the Queen will have me head less by the end of the week. So now God cant save me I am being wrongly charged with crimes regarding Laws passed two days ago." she said "And whats the chances of getting out" and with that she sat on her bed and waited she knew that the preist was going to think this was a pack of lies.

"Your logic is faulty. You were not arrested on the basis of some law that was made after your crime. You were arrested in part because you blatantly allowed a vile demon spawn almost free reign in this city where you should have slain it. This 'Eragon', you should know, is already dead. When his demon was slain by the righteous decree of our true queen, it stole his life from him at the same time. It should be a lesson to all who consort with such evils and go to show the fickle powers inherent in hell's worship, that would just as soon slay you as they would grant you unholy strength." He said, his voice portraying nothing but contempt now, his scribes hurriedly pushing themselves to write down his rant word-for-word, struggling to keep up with his fast rate of speech.
"Still, you freely admit to your crimes while at the same time trying to make excuses for yourself. Thus while you plead not guilty and claim wrongly charged, I find you to be, in fact, guilty of all crimes placed on your head. When the rest of the heathens and heretics are executed for their crimes against god, you shall be first on that list." Turning from her, he began to walk briskly from the cell, "Pray now, try to make amends with the true god and beg of forgiveness. Perhaps you might yet save your soul from damnation."
