I saw the site, and I realize it's a quote, but it doesn't make sense. Ponitur is taken from pono, ponere, which means to put or place. And the translation says nothing about a soul or mind, which is what animi means...
Translated literally, I think the quote says something closer to, "By judgement love of the mind is chosen, not placed."

You know what? As far as I can figure, it means "He who is revealed conquers" or "Let him who conquers be revealed." It's a bit odd, since I can't figure out patitur.
