Continuation of an argument

Obviously, this being an OOC board, I figured it the perfect place to continue an argument I was having. I figure I'll move the argument to here, so I can stop ruining a perfectly good thread with my ranting. If you haven't read the "Awaiting her Trial" Post, I suggest you do before you read this.

(The reason for all the "I"s is so I don't get in trouble for speaking for anyone but myself.)

Because there is no mage to stop her, Fæ technically has an advantage of varying use of skills. On the side, she is a cunning person. If you had read her bio, which I will assume you did not, you would be able to infer that, at the very least, she has been in situations of the like, and the queen would have to do something, herself, or send a reasonable amount of guards, as being led away in chains does not suit her taste. To simply break chains is a rather small feat, though you seem to assume that level 2 mages cannot do anything. She has been a dancer for ten out of nineteen years of her life, on on the run from another religion entirely for nine of them. To get the simple skills I have RPed, such as dancing, lock-picking, breaking chains, and groin kicking, you do not have to be very high level. I would expect high level magic to be far more complex than the breaking of chains. I do not hate her because she made a powerful plot, but because she takes her power, and flaunts it by picking on someone who's had this character a whole five days, or just about such before the arrest. After I typed this, I looked just to see, and I thought I should leave it there for sake of argument. The amount was actually four days. Someone who is just barely a level two mage. What I do not like is the excessive flaunting of power.

Whether she can capture me or not, one has a chance to respond in all RP situations. I have not strayed from my character's abilities in DEFYing what you have said, nor have I yet to DENY anything you have said to be true. Assuming the dates I see are true, than it is only just six days today that I have had Fæ. To assume that I would give up my character of almost seven days is insanity. Fæ cannot live if she doesn't escape, so she tries to escape, and she will continue to try, even if the admin agrees that I should go back to my cell. One would think, though, that a mage could escape from a prison, as criminals today, in real life, still can. I understand my emotions about you have no bearing, but I rarely find characters that I am this good at RPing with, so I have a partiality to her. I have not yet tried to do something excessively powerful, without wreaking heavy consequences on her body. I have even explained the boost of strength that she has as adrenaline. I do not see what your problem is in dignifying a response to my post. Perhaps you're afraid of LOSING to a level two mage. Sorry. Thought I'd try. You know: "If your opponent is of choleric temper, seek to irritate..." - Sun Tzu. (It was a joke.) I have not done anything cheap or overly powerful. I have even resisted the urge to make her get emotionally unstable due to this "WITCH!" thing opening up old wounds, and boost her magic, too. I have constrained myself to use only things within her meager power.

You may use your queen's über power, but I will try to counter. If that fails, she will be caught. Fæ, as well as I, is aware that she cannot fight this queen. She would most likely run at the first chance she gets. Guards wearing armour would most likely not be able to keep up. The queen is the only one I can see doing that. After all, she's supposed to be far more powerful than your standard issue guard. We could even bring this to a battle on the castle walls, if you want to show off. I am not suggesting you let her go, but that you give her a chance to use her WITS to escape. The instant I am outside the cell, you say, "You're caught again." I simply wish to use Fæ's abilities to respond in as realistic a manner as an RP site can have, based on your post. Plus, I allowed Fæ to be "lead away in chains." This does not mean that she stays in chains. Perhaps she merely waited until a moment she found right to run.

I think I've gotten my point across, but tell me if you find anything offensive in this post, as I don't mean to offend anybody, but instead to respond to and critique things that I saw said about me, and my character. As I look at it now, it seems more essay than response, but putting that aside, I want to thank anyone who actually reads through my argument. Especially if Rianne does so, as she doesn't **seem** to listen to what I have to say, but I would like to give a suggestion as to the ending. If she is trying to make a character seem evil, a battle seems the perfect way, even if the fighters are severely mismatched, nay ESPECIALLY if they are. If she insists on simply continuing to say "You are caught," I will probably ask the admin about it. I'm sorry if I offended anyone unintentionally, and thank you for bringing up the point, Muryllis. I didn't realize my point needed clarification. If there are any points which confuse or offend, please be sure to bring them up.

Oh, and I'm going to not post anything in character until the Rianne responds. I want to see how she takes this message.

Well then, use your wits to run; if you want to respond in as realistic a manner as a RP site can allow, then there's no point to you asking to be allowed to try to run away. You do what you want with your character; if Rianne's character manages to catch you, it's you who messed up.

In addition, why are you telling us about how your character is all x and y? Of course we didn't bother to read the profile, we have enough to do as it is; instead of whining about how you should be 'given a chance to escape,' just do it. If you can't manage to do so, it's not Rianne's fault, and it's not her player's fault - freaking out and threatening to ignore her will only make you look really stupid.

Don't tell us that your character is at an advantage, show us if she is, without going overboard. And as for going overboard, I can tell you right off the bat that your character will not be able to successfully leave the front gate of Avaren castle; she is level two, and a level two spellcaster will be flattened by any competent warrior at least a few levels higher. It does not matter what her history is, or what you say her skills are, she is level two, and that is that.

Not to go against anyone else, but I think she should be allowed to escape if otherwise she would have to die. I didn't read the whole thing, though, so I aplogize beforehand if some of this doesn't make perfect sense.

If I, for example, got convicted of witchery and was set to hang, I would escape. No one, not even the admin, can tell a member that they have to get killed off and make a new character. That's a member's right. There is no way I would let any of my characters on any site die, unless that was by my own decision.

I agree, I really do, in most cases its just unfair and not right. Someone created their character, no one deserves to destroy that. I can see maybe banning the person and giving their character maybe a life sentence in prison.

*sigh* The point I was trying to make was that Fæ already DID run. Oh, sorry for not saying befrore I made my point, but Akai is also Fæ. I was trying to get you to reply to the post. What I was saying is that I have acknowledged Rianne's power to put me under arrest, but I have not acknowledged that she has the power to say that Fæ cooperated. Fæ has already used low level magic to break chains and escape. I want Rianne to respond. If she doesn't, is it safe to assume Fæ got away? I mean, hello? I'ts been two days since I said she kicked some guards in the groin and escaped. My problem was that Rianne hasn't responded. She is ignoring me. Regardless, the queen seems to have done nothing so far. Does anyone else, or just me, think that after two days, two days that I can PROVE Rianne was posting on the site, I should just say Fæ escaped and end it? Was she just reading the OOC part, or ignoring me? Muryllis would have the point of "show us," IF I HADN'T ALREADY RESPONDED. Does anyone but me notice this? Am I alone? Are me and the voices in my head the only people who know that:

**Fæ looked at Susan. All that had just happened had confused her. She didn't want to see things end this way, but she had no other choice. She let her eyes droop. They were almost closed when a single tear fell from her eyes. "I'm sorry!!!" She let out a large shriek, the chains which she was held by broke. She reared her leg backwards, almost like a ballet. This blow hit him in his crotch, sending him to the floor in pain. She turned and ran down the corridor. She stopped trying to be silent, the alarm having been raised. She saw a guard standing in front of her, and danced around his sword, sliding between his legs. Just as her hip was past him, she raised her knee, slamming it into his groin. He immediately turned pale, and dropped to the ground, just as Fæ had finished sliding by. She needed to put as much distance between herself and this queen as possible. She lept around gaurds, over them, and in every possible direction. She moved like she had never moved before. She found it amazing just how much fear could increase one's strength.**

Or is everyone just having so much fun arguing that they are forgetting to RP? I'm not... I hate this arguing. Let's get back to RPing. And If Rianne still doesn't reply, I'm just going to post again and assume Fæ escaped. That can be the only logical conclusion, SINCE I HAVE POSTED THIS IN TWO PLACES, NOW, IF RIANNE DOESN'T RESPOND BY TOMORROW, I WILL MERELY LET FÆ OUT OF THE DUNGEON. WOULD EVERYONE YELLING AT ME, PLEASE STOP UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE POST, THE IN CHARACTER PART. *huff* *puff* Ahem, sorry for yelling, but ALL CAPS gets attention...

Edit: I thought about this during calculus, and decided I was a little rough with my point again. What a meant about "If Rianne doesn't reply..." was that I was taking her at her word. The previous text was a response to Muryllis telling me, if I want her to escape using wit, to show him. I had already begun Fæ's running, an interlude before she uses her wit, and was waiting for Rianne to respond for a couple of days... I was trying to get everyone to stop acting like I was the one who hadn't posted. Oh, yeah, and I will accept some excuses, I would just like it if Rianne was nice enough to say them, so I don't take it as her just ignoring me... Like her explaining that she was exhausted from karate earlier...

I agree with fae in my case I could have run but It would have jepordied my chance of escape as soon as I got over the wall evry gaurd in avaren would be after me as many know high treasson is death I knew that so i am mucking it up for the queen by poising my character and giving her a slow non painful death and never meeting the chopping board

I honestly don’t know why I try and reason with any of you since you won’t read my words and won’t listen to what I say. There is no point but I am going to anyways and you will all just have to deal with this. You all need to learn when to close your mouths (or your hands) and wait for an explanation.

Fae, that last part was extremely rude! I am sorry I did not pop on the moment after karate and inform you that I was tired and wasn’t going to put up with all of your crap. There are more important things then this site and me being tired and worn out is that. You can whine and whine all you want, I will always put other things before you and this site. So deal with it.

There is a key fact that I need to mention and you all need to realize before I go any further. I am not responsible for the deaths of Eragon, Strife, and Susan. They committed suicide. That was not murder. It was suicide. I killed Saphira because there were many warnings and Eragon was not heeding them so the dragon was disposed of in the best way that was thought of for a plot. Did I kill anyone? No! So stop blaming me for this when they are the ones that chose to take the lives of their characters. Because that is just ridiculous if you guys are going to sit here and blame me for that.

The other thing I want to bring up is that this is a plot. It is one made to bring the entire site into this and you are not getting it. You are all fighting too hard and thinking too hard and thinking about discrimination, it is getting old. If you guys cannot just learn to say ‘Oh, a new plot that includes the site, it is bigger then just me and my character’ then maybe you would have more fun and a more interesting time. There is more there then just you and your character, because like it or not, what happens to your character in this plot will cause a chain reaction in the rest of it.

Fae, your arguments are getting annoying and abusive and I am sick of you pestering me. You have a level two mage. A level two mage that is in a city it is not supposed to belong to. You are in the bottom of a Castle with armed guards, do you think gimics like hand to hand stuff is going to get you out? No! Do you think Fae as a level two mage is going to be able to fight several armed guards? No! You are just a level two mage and therefore are going to have no significant and amazing physical ability and certainly not enough to deal with armed and armored guards that are seizing you. Combine that with the fact, that face it, genetically men are bigger and stronger then women. So I refuse to sit here and admit you being able to escape. If you want to be so clever, be clever with Vidar, not with me. I am sick of you being rude to me. If you thought for one moment that acting like that would make me do a thing for you, then you are wrong, it does the opposite.

Stop saying you hate this arguing, you started it, you deal with it.

Susan, you are also angering me. Stop making any relevance to Lucy being able to know that Susan was killed. How would she really have that knowledge, huh? And if you think that Susan’s poison will keep you from getting a head on a pike in front of the gates you thought wrong, you handed me a corpse and an example. Thank You for that. Stop thinking that the Queen of Avaren is after Lucy, she is not that important and the only way that Lucy will find herself in her sister’s place would be if she sets a single foot into the land of Avaren, there will be guards on her.

You need to stop thinking as if this plot belongs in modern times. It does not, this is more of a medival setting. This is not an age where we have the pristine cut laws that we have now. This is an age ruled by the church and by the crown. And you have a Queen that just snapped IC whether you like it or not. Consider what she has at her hands, the church supporting her and all the people follow the church. So don’t you think the people would follow her? She also has armed guards and soldiers at her hand, and is now a religious zealot. Not everyone is going to be nice to your characters, another thing you have to deal with.

I will continue to arrest for being a heathen in the lands. That is my word.

And apparently we need to figure out the plot with Ricard Pendergast, because we forgot about his rule. According to the history of THIS SITE thought, Ricard NEVER ruled. You guys all need to keep that in mind. In the history of this site, the house of Herculides (aka Elyan’s house) was the one that has ruled Avaren for hundreds of years. So stop complaining about the ‘fairness’ and take into perspective the times.

I am done with this, it is so annoying.
