Eragon smiled painfully. "Yes, I am glad. All I have now is a few friends, nothing more... and Spahira is the thing that's closest to me now." He patted the dragon's head and carried on clearing.

"Do I?' Eragon asked. "Perhaps." He moved around quietly. "Maybe I do. I have lost much that was dear to me, yet Fate has given me rare and great gifts." Then, for the second time, Eragon felt proud of simply who he was. He smiled slightly.

Christine shrugged "I dunno...after a while your mind forgets your needs..to think about other things"she said "It's not easy though" she said. It was true she was really skinny. you could almost see her ribs if you loked at the skin.
