Name: Muryllis Antonius
Title/Position: Master Spellweaver, Head Instructor
Age: 62
Birthday: April 4
Hair: Long, white, scraggly hair; no beard or anything of the sort.
Eyes: Green
Skin: Pale
Height: 6'5"
Body: Tall and gaunt; Muryllis, having trained longer than he can remember in the arcane arts, has no need for muscle and physical strength - his magic is his alternate strength, and a fine strength it is.
Blood: The Master Spellweaver descends from a simple line of mages; some in his family have been in positions like his, and some haven't.
Likes: Studying and practicing his art, sharpening and using his cunning, and passing on his knowledge to those who truly care and are worth his time.
Dislikes: Those who detest magic, those of the lesser mind, and 'aspiring' mages who couldn't care less about the details.
Appreciates: The arts (including the melee arts), and a ceremonial drink of freakishly strong Magebrew.
Hopes, Dreams, Goals.. Desires: To raise a generation of competent magicians who would restore a once-existant perfection to the world.
Fears: Muryllis has nothing to fear; he is in a good position, is well off, and, in the case of a war breaking out, is on the side that would undoubtedly win.
Personality: Simply put, Muryllis is cold to those whom he feels do not deserve his company. However, a man of experience, he is always willing to wait for a hopeless fool to try to amend himself - that was, after all, his situation years back. When he is in the company of those he trusts and believes in, the Master Spellweaver is oddly cheerful and pleasant, a contrast to his looks, which suggest the former.
Friends: Those whom he likes.
Enemies: Those whom he dislikes.
Abilities: Though his profession requires mastery of all forms of magic, he favors the arts of Illusioncraft and Neuromancy. That said, he will be more likely to mess with an opponent's mind - or implant one, say, in a flying axeblade - than hurl a flaming boulder or turn said opponent into an African Swallow.
History:
Muryllis Antonius, current Master Spellweaver and head instructor of the Academy of Mages, was born to a typical well-off family upon the floating wonder known as Aesir. His story is relatively simple after that point - his education began roughly, for he was lazy and lacked the desire to study something as boring as magic. After the patient prodding of an old and kind wizard, the fate of whom he still does not know of (perhaps he was a lost spirit, he often pondered), he found an interest in education. This kicked him into a perpetual snowball effect, and even now, when he has been the Master Spellweaver - a powerful court official and advisor to the King and Queen - for years, he does not tire of learning and experimenting, using his task as instructor to practice and further harden his grasp on already-known magic and skills.
