Name: Emilie Anyanka Genevray
Age: 23
Appearance: Of medium height and slender build, Emilie seems to possess a frailty to her that no ammount of rest may cure. Dark brown hair brushes her shoulders in loose curls, with a signle lock of hair falling over her eyes, a constant irritant to the meticulous woman. Her pale skin looks as if it had seen too little sunlight with pale grey eyes seeming to look at everything and yet nothing at all, veiled by a dreamer's long lashes. Her dress sense leans somewhat towards the conservative.
Personality: Quiet and shy, Emilie prefers to hide away from the eyes of others, seeking refuge in the depths of imagination or the pages of books. Any insult to herself is meekly taken and considered, whether the insult was born of malice or kindness. However, any insult to another who is incapable or unwilling to defend themselves will ignite in her a slow fire that will roast any offender without regret.
History: Emilie was the fourth and youngest daughter of the Mage Gaius and a human woman, Andria Genevray. Gaius died when Andria was carrying Emilie resulting in the fact that the child never knew her father. Only in Emilie did Gaius's magic run strong, her elder sisters carried some of the magic too but cared little about learning the spells required, preferring instead to focus their attentions more frivolous topics. Their mother, Andria, encouraged this and despaired of her youngest child.
During Emilie's teenaged years, she retained her arrow-straight figure where all other girls her age were beginning to bloom in more womanly figures. Hence, she took to hiding herself away in her father's library more and more, hardly leaving the security of the house until she was sixteen years old. The first time she was seen closely by the citizens of the small town where she lived was at her mother's funeral. By then, she had become something of a beauty.
Some things led to others until the night before Emilie's nineteenth birthday. Her sisters later could not make her speak of it and she left the town the very next day. She traveled to different places, finally settling in Avaren. Upon the decree against witchcraft, she promptly moved to the Floating City of Aesir where she became Assistant Librarian at the Arcane Library.
