Name: Nicholas Gilsworthy
Age: 21
Appearance: Gil stands somewhere slightly over six feet, the kind that was all bones as a child but has grown to be tall and lanky. He wears a dark overcoat that covers most of his body down to his ankles, fingerless leather gloves, stout black boots and a loose shirt and slacks underneath. On his belt and across his chest (under the coat) are a multitude of pouches which hold his many and varied implements. His hair is jet black and unkempt.
Weapons: Aside from his assorted thieving items, he carries four daggers in readily accessible fashion on his abdomen, along with an assortment of tiny throwing daggers.
Family: His father, John Gilsworthy, and mother, Anna Gilsworthy. He has no siblings.
Personality: This thief is constantly as laid back and casual as he can be, yet he inherited from his father a reckless sense of riskiness. Quite often he will throw himself into danger without a second thought, but he tries his best to think things through beforehand. To those who are his friends he is loyal, and to his enemies he is sly and clever as a fox on the hunt.
History: Gil's past is quite shady and sordid. His wariness of the law comes from a series of crimes across multiple cities and towns, all of which he has deftly escaped. Yet his thievery was born not out of necessity, as most, but from his father, who was a thief as well. He learned all of his thieving skills and techniques from his da, who, while he didn't wish his son the life of a criminal, still saw what potential his boy had to become skilled. His mother, Anna, was less complacent about the path her son was headed down. Gil was brought up well, though, and her admonitions against greed, corruption, selfishness, and avarice took hold in young Nicholas' heart. When his father was eventually hung for his crimes, Gil left the house and took a more serious approach to thievery, doing so only when opportunity presented itself or when the need was greatest. Despite his best intentions, however, the reckless streak burned deep inside him will cause him to steal for fun, or for thrills, from time to time. He has also fallen prey to greed on occasion, exactly what got his father caught and killed, but the memory of that death and the words of his mother keep him walking the knife edge of life as a thief and still managing to keep his balance. And maybe turn a few cartwheels here and there.
Other: He carries with him a mouse, named Niccolo, who was sold to him by a strange old peddler on some unnamed road. Though he thought it a waste of money at first, the blue furred creature proved to be oddly intelligent, even able to do some stealing itself. It remains as his constant companion.
