A Nice Talk

[Ariadne]

Ariadne gave Shadow a quizzical look. "I have no other choice." Ariadne replyed. She then stood up and balanced herself on the tree as she walked to the bark of the tree with her hands to the side. "Lets get started." Ariadne told Shadow looking back at him.

[Shadow]

Shadow laughed. "what was the look for?" he stood on the branch, and looked around. "no how are we going to get up this tree... cant really shimmy up it..." He scratched his head in thought. "you go first, seeing as ive never done this before."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne laughed as well. "I was thinking." She looked up the tree. "I got it." Ariadne said exitedly. She almost fell off the tree but caught her balance. she then looked at Shadow."Do you have 2 pieces of rope that are wide enough to go around this tree?" Ariadne asked him.

[Shadow]

Shadow reached out to steady her, but She caught her balance on her own. Nodding, he checked in his pouches. "how long do you need it to be?" He pulled out a very long piece of rope. cutting a length equal to his arm span, cutting it in half and tossing it to Ariadne, he shrugged. "is that long enough?" he threw the rest of the coil up into the top of the tree, where it wrapped itself around a branch once and fell back down to shadow. Shrugging, he gestured at the rope. "last resort."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne cought the piece of rope Shadow threw at her. "Perfect" she muttered. She then threw one side of the rope to one side of the tree and cought the other end so both sides of the rope were around the bark. Ariadne placed both her feet on the bark and she wiggled the rope up and took steps up to the tree. In a matter of minutes she was already on the second branch. She wasnt as fast as Shadow. She then stood up and looke dup. There was stilla branch left. But shell leave that bit for later. She looked down quickly. "Now youre next." Ariadne said to Shadow as she threw the piece of rope to him. She then sat down in the middle of the branch around where Shadows rope was tied and took a seat. She was quite unstable so she was holding on to the branch.

[Shadow]

Shadow watched her with interest. "hmmm... seems easy enough..." He threw the rope around the tree and caught it, tightened it, and began to climb up the tree. little did he know that the rope was freyed at the end.
he had almost reached ariadne when it snapped, sending him plummetting towards the ground. "now would be a good time for wings!" He closed his eyes, preparing for inpact, when suddenly he started glowing. Within a few seconds, a pair of magnificent black wings sprouted from his back and began to flap. luckily it was a long way to the ground, for Shadow had to flip over in order for his wings to work properly. He soon became tired, and was forced to glide back to the ground. When he was about five feet from the ground, he began glowing again, and his wings dissapeared. "Woa-" he fell the rest of the way, landing with a thump.
sitting there, to tired to move, he called up to ariadne. "umm... Im not gona be able ot move for like a year now... well, not much more than a couple hours, but still... " he frowned. "i was flying for a little bit there..." His expression was still of saddness, but it was a little lighter.

[Ariadne]

Ariadne looked at Shadow as he climbed up butthen his rope broke and that sent him falling to the ground. As Shadow fell there was nothing she could do. But then Shadow started glowing and a maginificent pair of black wings sprouted from Shadows back and he began to fly. Ariadne smiled and clapped at Shadows maginificent job on the wings. But then he glowed again and Shadows body made contect with the hard ground floor. Shadow spoke and she listened. Ariadne nodded. "But how am I going to get down?" Ariadne asked her voice was shaky.

[Shadow]

Shadow looked around, and slowly got to his feet. "well, I can catch you..." he smiled. "just hold on a few seconds, let me make sure that my energy is back." he jumped inot the air a few times. satisfied, he held out his hands. "Ill catch you, dont worry, and you are very light so i wont fall either." he laughed. "Unless you have something else in mind."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne looked at Shadow getting quite dizzy because of such great heights. She gupled. And looked around and shook her head. "I dont think I have another way to get down. Unless....I learn to master or atleast learn the basic of the element air. But Im far from that." Ariadne said sadly. Ariadne looked down one last time. And closed her eyes. "Please Shadow catch me." She told him. She then jumped from the tree. Hoping she will land in Shadows arms.

[Shadow]

Shadow Nodded. "no worries, ill catch you." he jumped up as she fell, meeting her halfway, and slowly descended from the air, still holding ariadne. once his feet touched the ground, he righted her, and let her go. "How was that for a catch?"

[Ariadne]

Ariadne had shut her eyes. She thought she was falling for like hours just then she had felt someone haave a hold of her. Ariadne let a sigh of relief and opened her eyes. As Shadow placed her down. "Thanks." Ariadne told Shadow. "You recovered quite quickly from the fall."

[Shadow]

Shadow laughed. "i think my body was more in shock from the transformation than anything." he smiled. " no problem. but we forgot tocarve our initials in the tree..." he frowned "I know, ill try to fly up..." he shook his head. " I need to learn how to fly first..."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne looked rather disaapointed. "I know..we forgot..But It was because we wanted to get ALL the way to the tippity top."She then looked at Shadow. "How are you going to do that?" Ariadne asked thoughtfully.

OOC: Tippity Top....lol..those words make me laugh...lol

[Shadow]

Shadow shrugged. "it will take some extensive studying, which I'm probably not ready for..." He laughed. "it will come with time, dont worry." looking up at the tree, he sighed. then an idea came to him. "I know, using magic, we can levitate the knife up to the top and then try and carve with it!" he laughed. "the carving would be very sloppy at best, but even if we just put like the first letters of our names then its proof that we were there."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne thought about his suggestion for awhile. "Well Im no good with the element of air...So use your magic." Ariadne suggested. "Well its not even the fact about me using the element its that I will be practicing the element with a knife and I have no idea where the knife would land since I dont even know the basics." Ariadne said sadly.
