The Ancient Child

Parin was very shocked that after she'd said the same thing she'd told everyone else that Evee hadn't turned on her. So shocked in fact she stopped crying then and there and sat up. She looked into Evee's kind eyes and sweet smile and knew in her heart this was for real. This person Evee was hers and she was Evee's. Nothing and no one would tear them apart with lies or deceit. Never would Evee believe someone else over her so long as she was speaking the truth.

This realization brought fresh tears to Parin's eyes. With a cry of relief she leaped up and into Evee's arms.
"I love you Eveie Evee! I am sorry I doubted you! Please forgive me, I love you sister!" These new tears were not tears of fear or sadness, but tears of joy. Never in the short time she'd been awake had Parin felt love - anything she'd had before was long forgotten and so it had felt like a world of hate and cruelty that she'd awakened to. She hadn't known it, but she'd begun to give up in there existing such a person as Evee~Natalia, a person of love and understanding and kindness.

"I'll never let you go Sister," Swore Parin, "never ever!" She then let got and took Evee's hand. "I'll be glad to ride Eclipse if you'll teach me." she said smiling a genuine smile, a kind of which she'd almost forgotten how to use.

IC: Evee was in a calm state when she hears the young girl say I love you Evee. Evee never knew a soul in this world to tell her that and mean it except her deceased parents. Evee hugged the girl back and smiled a warm smile. "I love you too, little sister..." Evee spoke in a sort of nurturing voice. Evee never had someone to take care of, only herself. Now that she had the opportunity, she wouldn't take it for granted.

She watched as Parin took her hand, she know wanted to learn to ride Eclipse. Evee was happy to hear it, she could be a teacher also, not just a sister. "I'm glad to hear it, it'll be fun." Evee said with a slight cheerful sound in her voice. She walked Parin Over to Eclipse who stood there waiting patiently. "C'mon, I'll help you up." Evee said letting Parin's hand go and picking her up. Parin wasn't as heavy as she should be for her age, probably from lack of eating. It wasn't her fault life dealt her a bad hand.

"Eeeeee!" said Parin gleefully as she was picked up and put onto the horse. She swung her leg over the side of Eclipse, and sat as any high class young lady would. She griped with her knees (gently) sat straight in the saddle as if she'd had lessons but yesterday.

"Am I doing it right? she asked, as she leaned a bit forward to give Eclipse a pat on the neck, the sat straight again. Once she'd gotten her feet in the stirrups she even put her heels down, as if horsemanship were second nature to her.

Just then her grumbly tummy made some even louder noises.
"Hush tummy," she told it. "Soon we shall eat." Then she looked around at the street and it's inhabitance either going about their business or staring at her and her odd clothes and formally tear soaked face. "I am very Tall up here." she said waving as a princess would at them.

Napeir stared at the two women, well one was a women, the other was but a child. He had come to the city to see some old friends, but as it been around lately, the warriors rebellion had ether turned them to mage haters, or they were dead. He swished his tail back and forth and approached the two, as him being a cat at the time, he was meaning to gather information on the two. His black fur mad him stick out form the tan pebble covered ground. He noted the little girl, and a symbol on her necklace. The necklace is what interested him, having run into artifacts in past adventures. Napeir meowed up to the little girl, then to the older one, he was going to get a close look at that necklace even if he had to suck up to get it.
