Adiana stepped away from Shadow as Tyanno took over. She looked on in frustration as she could do nothing for him and knowing that it had been her fault. She looked at Tyanno as he spoke to her and she shook her head furiously. "Are you kidding me? It is definitely my fault this happened. It's my fault I can't control my magic right now, no one else's. I take responsibility for the things that I have done, Tyanno," she said a bit defensively. Then again she had only just met the man, how could she expect him to know her and how she truly was? She shook her head and sighed sadly. I really need training...

"Hey, hey, that's not true. Not one bit. It's not your fault to be new at something. We were all new at one point and still are at somethings." He said as he turned and held her gently by the shoulders, looking her straight in the eye. "There is nothing wrong with you. You just need to train. And in training there are always accidents. I have blasted Alezand a few times off his feet and he has left a few too many cuts and bruises on me in our sparring."
He sat her down and took a seat next to her. "You are a promising individual, trust me, it's gift I have. I can tell instantly about people. You have a hell of a future ahead of you. And I'll see to it that you are taken care of. You shall not travel this road alone if you don't want to." He said calmly. And he meant it. He was always grateful for Alezand's companionship over the years, but he was not a mage. Alezand had helped in some ways, but he could not teach Tyanno much about magic, except to respect it.
But Tyanno could change that for her. Someone to go the path with her. And he knew how much it would make a difference. Here was someone who was scared, alone and even somewhat ashamed of her abilities that were actually a gift. This was what it meant to be who he was. An mentor of good, he was hardwired to help others. So this would be his new mission, his new charge. Really his first, but who was counting. What mattered was that there was a potential ally and partner who needed somebody, a friend, a guide and a mentor. And it would be nice to have yet another new friend to take along on this growing adventure. Especially in these days of conflict and fear, every new friend was worth their weight in gold.
"Don't you worry that pretty head of yours anymore. I shall be with you every step of the way. And though the road ahead is a rough one, I promise we will make it.", he said, not noticing that he had his hand on hers. "It's not wrong to be inexperienced, and don't you ever let anyone tell you otherwise."...

Adiana sighed in frustration once more. She hated not being able to control her magic, and because of that she was afraid that one day she might really hurt someone... With a glance at Shadow she flinched, she had really hurt someone. Ok, kill... She might kill someone one day if she couldn't control her powers. It was frightening and that spurred her on to want to learn even more. She had to gain control of her magic, if she didn't... She shook her head once more and then looked up at Tyanno as he approached her. She felt his hands on her shoulders and was rather surprised though she kept it hidden behind a smooth facade.
Their eyes locked and she cocked her head slightly as he spoke to her. Then she felt herself being moved by him and gently pushed down onto a log. Adiana blinked, and continued looking at him; listening to his words and almost hanging onto them. Adiana let her usual mask of apathy down, her features softened as she listened to him. Here was someone who actually cared about her and not for their own means, but for her own. It was an almost overwhelming feeling. Granted, she had met many a nice person in her travels over the past two years, but many had wanted her around for some means that weren't in her best interest.
Still he spoke and she smiled slightly as his speech was drawing to an end. When at last he finished speaking, her lips had curled into a real smile. "Thank you," she said softly, if a bit shyly. She threw her arms around his neck and hugged him gratefully. "Thank you," she said once more, now realizing that before she had moved her arms his hand had been resting upon hers. It was a rather odd sensation, but not at all unpleasant. She pulled away from the hug slowly and said, "For too long I've been on this road alone... Very few that I have met on my lonely journey have been as kind and decent as yourself... Most who helped me had their own agendas."

((sorry it took so long...)) Shadow shook his head, rousing from his stupor. "huh? what? he looked over at the two and laughed. "so... gonna do any more blasting Adiana?" He laughed, waving his un-injured hand. "don't worry. i need a reminder every now and then that I'm not invincible." Laughing again, he tried to flex his hand. "nope, still nothing. But i am beginning to feel the pain from the burn, which is good." shaking his head, he sighed, completely oblivious as to what was going on between the two in front of him. Looking back, he raised an Eyebrow. "so... er-hem...." he shook his head, and tried to flex his hand again. shaking his head in frustration, he smacked his hand against his leg, and gave a yelp from the pain. "I shouldn't have done that..." Cursing, he held his wrist, staring at his palm. through gritted teeth, he cursed his luck. "Damn it all.... If I could get a better control on that damn sheild.... this wouldn't have happened...." The words of my father come back to me... "Don't get cocky... Its the last mistake that you'll ever make..." Hey... I remembered- wait... now isn't the time to search memories... Suddenly, shadow looked around, sniffing the air. "something wicked this way comes.... I don't like the smell in the air... there's gonna be a big storm sometime tomorrow... I mean a BIG storm..." he growled. "damn hand..." looking over at Adiana, he laughed. "now, if you could blast an enemy with that kind of power... then we'd be all set..." laughing, he shook his head. Are we going to be traveling today?"

OCC: Forget the setting, Shadow? its middle of the night, remember? IC: Tyanno smiled at Shadow's inquiry. "Well you and I are accustomed the the dark, given our reputations, but our companion here is probably not and she requires rest. She has already been traveling a long time. We'll pick up camp at first light." He looked back at Adianna in prediction of her protest to his assessment, but she would not sway him. However, Shadow was right about the weather. Tyanno could smell the rain in the air and feel the wind change direction and speed. The trees began to rustle harder as the front began to close on them. Tyanno got up and grabbed a large spool of twine from his pack. He then proceeded to climb the young trees that surrounded the little enclave and began to bend the tops in over the knoll of the camp and tie them together.
He jumped down and looked about the camp, checking to see that the camp sat on higher ground than the surrounding forest. It did, but he blasted away soil around the perimeter with jets just to be sure. He then dashed out in to the forest's darkness. Crashing, crunching and cracking could be heard ringing through the small camp and he soon returned to the fire light dragging more heavy timber, which he then stacked around the camp edges in between the trees, forming a low wall to hold back debris. He finally took down both tents and stretched out the collective tarp. He quickly sewed them together along with other forms of cloth he could find in his pack. Setting a long pole like stick in the ground near the fire, standing about eight feet, he draped the sewn canopy over the encampment to form a giant tent to cover them all from the wind and rain that was barreling down the valley towards them. "There, that should hold for now...", He sighed in relief...

(heh... I knew that...... XP Thanks) Shadow watched as Tyanno worked, not fully sure what the young man was doing. upon his finishing, Shadow nodded. "amazing... I think that should hold quite well. Now i am no longer worried about something falling on us..." He looked around, examining the corners of the barricade. "hmmm... but we might need to reinforce the walls magically if the wind gets to strong...." Shaking his head, he walked back to the center, where the fire was. "but that might not even be remotely necessary. The only thing that is of utmost importance is the fire. It dies, we're in trouble." As shadow spoke, the air began to get colder and crisper, the wind picking up it's pace. Sniffing the air again, Shadow had a puzzled look. "hmm.... It doesn't smell like Snow.... But it sure feels like it..." Shaking his head, he shrugged. "well, now all we can really do is sit and wait for it to hit us."
