[Ariadne]

Ariadne smiled slightly. "That happened tome once...Well I wasnt really experimenting with unknown materials. But an old villager told me that if I mixed ceratin components it will blow up. And well I wanted to see it blow up and well it did." Ariadne told them plainly. "The goo got all over me...It took my mother hours trying to take the goo out of my hair...funyn day that was." Ariadne mentioned.

[Shadow]

Shadow laughed at what ariadne said. "that must have been quite the sight." Looking at verdan, he smiled. "im sorry, I was just thinking out loud. Its nothing, dont worry unless..."

[Verdan]

Verdan, listening to Ariadne's story smiled. "Must have been lots of fun." he said jokingly. Turning to Shadow, he waited for him to finish his sentence, but the end never came. "Unless....what?" Verdan helped him out by prodding him along verbally.

[Shadow]

Shadow waved his hand as if to dismiss the notion. "why would you guys need to be able to use knives? you have spellcasting." He shrugged. "unless you really feel the need for a very rough and very basic beginning training of how to fight with a knife... but mages dont need that kind of thing." he shook his head. "I cant stress on how basic it would be though... and im not really a teacher..."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne looked at Shadow curiously. "What on earth is he babbling about?" She asked herself. "Hes speaking as if he another person." Ariadne whispered to herself. "Hes in a form of a trance or something." Ariadne told Verdan as she waved her hand in front of Shadows face.

Maybe we would have to start it in like the forest or something, and go from there...or something...>.<))

Shadow caught her hand out of reflex. "No, im just rabbiting on about daggers and fighting with them. would you like to learn how?" he looked at verdan. "or maybe i was a different person..." he shrugged. "oh well. baisicly, i dont have any skills to offer, other than ones that take many many years of practice."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne flinched as shadow caught her arm. She then shrugged. "What skills took long years of practice?" Ariadne asked. She then looked at her arm and back at Shadow, he still had a grip of her arm...a rather tight one.

[Shadow]

He realized he that he had been tightneing his grip on the delacate arm in front of him. as he realized this, he let her arm go. turning to ariadne, he frowned. "Im sorry, pure reflex..." he smiled. "that is one of them, another is stealth, which comes with theivery." Shadow shook his head. "but as I said before, spellcasters dont really need knife skills, and those are really the only things I can teach you the basics of."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne smiled. "Its okay." She told him as she rubbed her arm. "I guess" Ariadne said as she shrugged. "Im not much of a fighter with objects. I would rather use my intellect than my strenght. " Ariadne mentioned.

[Shadow]

Shadow laughed. "and that would be why you became a mage instead of a warrior." looking down at the daggers in his boots, he sighed. "well, not everyone is lucky enough to have to had live as a thief." the sarcasm was evident in his voice, but he looked down as he said it. "most people rememeber their families..."

[Verdan]

Verdan once more falls out of the conversation, listening and watching the proceedings intently. As a mage, he did not need any weapon training. During the time it took him to learn to fight with a knife, he could master a spell, which would come in more handy than a melee weapon, especially a blade. Aloud, he agreed with Ariadne. "It is not the way of a mage to fight. It is better to use the ways of sorcery and such to accomplish your goals if you are a spellcaster."

[Shadow]

Shadow laughed. "I realized this after the thought came to me. Spellcasters have no need of a mele weapon, they have their intellects to rely on, more so than most." he shrugged. "But i need knives because transforming takes up too much energy, and fighting become smuch harder." He looked around. "Ya know what I mean?"

[Ariadne]

Ariadne nodded. "I get what youre saying. Somewhat." Ariadne replyed. Ariadne thought for awhile. "Okay..I get it fully now. You would rather weaken your opponent with yor knife skills and then transform. So you wont be as tired when your transformed and your opponent would already be weak."

[Verdan]

"Aye, I understand what you mean. It is no fun to become too weary to cast a spell in the middle of a fight. However, you must train your intellect to the point where casting a spell does not tire you physically, or mentally either for that matter." Verdan states knowledgeably. "However," he continues, "A true mage never picks up a blade."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne nodded in agreement. "The use of a melee weapon is what seperates us with warriors. If we used them then well we just wont be mages." Ariadne stated.
