I have spread my dreams under your feet. Tread softly because you tread on my dreams. A gasp, frantic to get in a breath of air Esther awoke. The chilly late autumn air burned her lungs forcing her to cough causing an unimaginable pain. Her breathing was panicked and her heart pound violently. With agony she sat up, once she realize she was flat on her back, but it only brought more pain. She reached to her right side where a deep black bruise was located, but the bruise felt deeper than it appeared. A broken rib, she thought quickly. Then a red droplet of blood met with her eyelid, she gasped again but this time out of fear. Esther's stiff, numb fingers searched her forehead to find a large gash about her brow. Blood had frozen and crusted in her hair. Looking down to where her head had been she nearly vomited, a large pool of blood surrounded her. She shook out of fear and cold. Her body was covered in a thin layer of snow, it looked fresh. How long had she been there? Where was she? What was she doing there? Esther could feel herself being overtaken by her panic. Who was she?
The muscles in her stomach gave way and she fell hard back onto the cold earth. She cried out in pain, but no one was there. She groaned as she looked around for someone, anyone. She had no such luck. Suddenly, a quick flicker of red light was seen in the distance. Esther squinted to get a better look. There was...something...stuck in a tree. It was a sword. In some strange way she felt compelled to it. She crawled on her elbows and knees to reach the blade. Every movement was torture. As she crawled her head felt heavy and he legs barely moved.
Esther pulled her self up on the tree and grasped the hilt of the sword. It felt so natural, like she had done it a thousand times. With a hard jerk the sword was loose. Once again she fell to the ground but she controlled the impact better. Looking at the sword it had strange markings on it and a red blade. It seemed to familiar. But, when she thought her wound on her head throbbed and she felt dizzy. She could only think of her name over and over again. She didn't know her age or mother. She was lost. She was going to die.
Esther didn't move for some time. She wasn't sure where she was, but she was going to stay there and rot. But she needed a moment to build up her strength and courage. Looking toward the sky, she could see the moon fighting to get in front of the clouds. The other stars and such had not trouble. She coughed again a winced. Esther rolled onto the side where her rib wasn't broken and used the sword to prop her on her knees. She was already out of breath. Esther pressed on. She made it too her feet and used the blade as a walker. She tumbled with each step and her legs spasmed and tingled.
Minutes felt like eternities. Esther could barely see between her steamy puffs of breath. the darkness and the blood running into her eyes. She made little progress as she hobbled. But little was better than none. Her body suddenly went limp and she fell to her hands and knees. She began to cough, this time harder and deeper in the lung. And it wasn't stopping. She begged for it to stop in her mind she needed to take a breath. That was granted to her and then the coughing continued. Trying to hold herself up failed, Esther's arms slipped and she feel on to the broken ribs side. She coughed once more into her hand to see blood. Esther's dizziness overcame her and she blacked out once more.((hey there is you like this then reply, if you love them PM me amd maybe we can make a plot! FUN! FUN! FUN!))

Late nights seemed to find her walking through the strangest places, and this night was no different. It was a rather peaceful night, at least, with only the sounds of the wild nightlife to accompany her. For nearly 11 years, she had been on her own, though sad, she had grown quickly since then. Perhaps it took her only a year to fully mature, she had to otherwise she might have died or been killed, she had been raped once but that only fueled her maturity and her disdain for those who bullied. Rhea shook her head in disgust before she heard a sharp gasp of pain, and then the soft sound of metal against wood.
Quickly the warrior changed her direction, knowing full well that she might end up in a battle but that didn't bother her. She heard pain, and that was all she needed to hear. Rhea's pace quickened, yet not a sound she made. Some friends even joked that she had elven blood running through her veins, but she knew better than that. Her silence when running, even with armor on, came from years of practice and sneaking around, looking for those things that would make noise and avoiding them. She could easily have been an assassin had she wanted to go that way, but her sense of honor and pride wouldn't allow it. She was a golden soul, through and through.
It wasn't long before she came to a bloody rock. She blanched at it before continuing on. Shortly down the path, she saw a figure fall. Rhea looked around quickly to make sure no one was hiding, and then ran to the person's aid. A red blade glowed in her hand; Rhea frowned and looked at it. She had never seen the like... it couldn't have been natural; she only hoped that the blade did not possess some amount of evil to it that would drain the owner. It seemed likely though, but Rhea wouldn't jump too fast to conclusions.
She pealed off her gloves slowly and laid them by the figure. Rhea turned the person over and was met by a rather ghastly scene. Her head was caked in blood; some of the blood was frozen to her head. Rhea frowned; she had never had to treat a wound like this... But she knew basic first aid and maybe a few remedies to kill pain. Carefully and gently, Rhea picked up the woman, or perhaps girl. She seemed to be in her late teens though that was all Rhea could deduce from beneath the blood and pain-contorted face. The blade slipped out of the girl's hands as Rhea picked her up. For a second she thought about not touching it as it rested on the ground. With one glace to the girl, Rhea turned away from the blade, she would retrieve it later, but right now getting the girl in her arms fixed was the extreme matter.
After walking for a few minutes, Rhea found a decent campsite and rested the girl on a patch of soft grass before she set about making a fire. With the fire built near the girl, Rhea went about removing the pouch that she always carried around her waist. The pouch contained bandages, cloths, fresh water, plant ointment that reduced infection, and a packet of herbal tea to ease the pain. Rhea first poured the water on one of the cloths and began to clean the wound. She thought fleetingly of shaving the area but the girl would be frightened enough as it is so she thought better of it. After she cleaned the wound, she rubbed the ointment onto it which if the girl was awake would probably feel a stinging sensation. With that done, Rhea bandaged the wound.
With the most pressing of the wounds taken care of, Rhea went about searching for any more. She lifted up the girl’s shirt and saw a huge bruise on her right side. Gently, Rhea touched it and easily felt the broken rib. "Damn it girl... Who beat you up?" she murmured to herself. Rhea tied a bandage around the girl's midsection, securing the bones and hoping it would aid her healing. With all the wounds seemingly taken care of, Rhea left the girl to retrieve the strange blade. She found her gloves lying where she had left them and quickly put them on before picking up the sword. Even so, with gloves on, she was still hesitant. She went to pick up the blade, but then thought better of it, and instead found a stick which she hooked beneath the hilt and gently carried it towards her camp. When she was right beside the girl, Rhea lowered the branch a few feet away from the girl to prevent the possibility of the girl rolling over and cutting herself on the blade. Once that was done, Rhea went off hunting and snagged a rabbit which she then brought back to the camp and proceeded to cook it on the other side of the fire.
