OCC: I don't know what it is, but no one posts in any of the threads I create, yet my counterpart does share the same problems. It is seriously pissing me off, for our plots are intertwined and I need to be at relatively the same level as he is. I am not a bad rper, as shown in my dedication to the site (I was one of the original members of the OLD site) and in the progress and praise given to my other. I wish to make it known here that this is getting out of hand. I do not turn away anyone who at least reads the rules and makes a modest attempt to write well.
BIC: Tyanno had returned to the halls of instruction to once again seek out a teacher to learn him the ways of elementalism and enchantment. He was desperate, as time was not on his side. He needed to get his powers up to skill and under control before Alezand needed him again in combat. And he needed to learn how to incorporate his owers into his arrows of his long bow. He desired to become a Elemental arcane archer, but he couldn't do on his own, nor could Alezand be any use in this matter.
He wandered into one of the various classrooms that filled this place and meandered about, gazing at instruments of measure and alchemy, books and scrolls of instruction and knowledge. A small fire burned away in the deep fireplace, casting light that joined the graying sunlight piercing through the high windows on the left. The room was still dim throughout most of its space.
He had picked up a heavy volume on charm casting when a sound rose from behind, towards the door...

((hmmm.... would you like me to fix that?)) Shadow, who had been sitting in the shadows when the young man entered the room, stirred awake. standing up slowly, he walked into the lighted area of the room and waited for the young man to notice. If I'm not mistaken, then this is Mr Tyanno, who was with us in that prison cell... hmm... he seems a bit lost, wonder what he needs... Shadow cleared his throat. "Hello there, Tyanno, do you remember me? Or were you to heavily drugged?" Shadow walked over and looked at the book the young man was reading. "Charm casting? Aren't you working to become an elementalist? That book will show you things that you need to know for becoming an enchanter, not an elementalist."

"Yes, but all knowledge is power, and my thirst for knowledge is unquenchable at the moment. Besides, I need to learn how to enchant my ammunition to carry my elemental powers." He turned, unperturbed by the sudden arrival of the man from the darkness. "How are you Shadow. It is good to see you here. It is a shame we didn't meet under better circumstances. We never got the chance to thank you for at least helping us fight our way out of the banquet hall. Even if we failed..." He trailed off, his eyes meeting the tall figure as it stepped into the light. "I was coming here to find an instructor in which to learn to control and master my powers here." Alezand mentioned a certain Muryllis, but Tyanno neither knew who this man was nor where to find him. Maybe Shadow could be of some help...
OCC: not who I was expecting, but thank you sincerely nonetheless

((heh... shadow cant teach you much.. if anything... but he can direct you... to people...))
Shadow laughed. "failed? we succeded my friend. If we had fialed, we wouldnt be here today." He sighed. "alas, but the thirst for knowledge can sometimes lead you down the wrong path-" Shadow nodded as Tyanno explained his reasons fo rthe book of enchantmens. "Ah. I see... well, I have a dagger, an enchanted dagger if you will, and what it does is always flies straight towards its target, not affected by anything except my own magic, and allways returns." He pulled out the dagger, the one his father had given him so long ago. "im not entirely sure how it works... my father was quite the enchanter..." Shadow shook his head. "but if you need help, the one you should really try to seek is Master Muryllis..." Shadow brought a chair next to Tyanno and sat down. "enchanting arrows? On second thought, you might want to find someone other than muryllis... he hates any kind of weapon that is not the mind... but it's worth a try... It sounds awesome... just the thought of being able to incorperate that level of enchantment.... to freeze an enemy from atop a wall..." he laughed. "that would be awesome..."

"Exactly, imagine the accuracy. A fire ball could be more destructive than intended, but what if an arrow burned its target from inside out. It wouldn't damage anything that wasn't desired. And to direct lightening bolts down on specific individuals, without the randomness that is inherrent of that element. And the range of my powers would be greatly increased." Tyanno exclaimed. But He could not simply learn this knowledge. He needed a tutor, a master. "Where to find one to who can teach me to master my powers and enchant my bow?"

Shadow nodded. "all that and more, much more.... Unfortunately, I cant help you there. if anything, Id say to go to The Grand Magus, his royal Highness, King Ellatar... He might be able to help you.. but he is a very busy man... you'd.. wait..." Shadow went silent with thought. "Elemental arrows... you know what? The king might actually be interested in your idea, as I don't think It has really been done before!" Shadow jumped to his feet and began to pace the room. "you know, that might just be it... that way, he teaches you to infuse your power into an arrow, and gains an amazing technique for his own armies!" shadow stopped. "unless, of course, you didn't want this idea spreading too far..."
((sorry for the delay... i swear I had something... but it dissapeared...))

Tyanno's eyes lit up upon Shadow's words. If what he said was true, the Tyanno could get the help he needed from a very high authority and aid his fellow mages and go a way into repaying his self reflected debt in Cain rescuing him and the others. Then that is what he will do. But a thought crossed his mind. Tyanno was rather new still here, and hadn't very active in the events happening since the breakout. He didn't want to go strolling into the audience chamber like some fat headed moron. And he did not know the King's customs of audiences or how compassionate of a listener he was.
He turned to Shadow again, "I like your idea, my friend, but I'm afraid of making an offense if I enter there alone. Perhaps you could come with me? Surely you could aid me as to how to address this venture to the King that would be most pleasing to him. What do you say, hmmm?"...

Shadow's eyes also lit up. "Certainly... always wanted to meet the king." He laughed. "we'll make an expedition out of it." sighing, he shook his head. "and yet, I know nothing of behavior in front of a leader, especially since i really don't tend to follow orders..." Scratching the back of his head, he closed his eyes. "I... guess we could just kinda walk in... maybe ask to see the king if he isn't busy... or even the queen, if she's around... but i think the King would be more inclined to help." Opening his eyes, he ran a hand through his hair. "wow.. the last time I... coherently... talked to a king was when we were at that banquet, the one where foolish Eragon brought his dragon..." Shadow sat down, smiling. "but hey, we'll never know until we try, and if he can’t do it, then he'll point us in the right direction... Hopefully." standing back up, he searched his pack. "You know, I think this might actually work... then, think of the formidable ability and secret there would be... it would be amazing, just even to watch a demonstration of that kind of power..." Shadow, deciding that whatever he was searching for wasn't worth it, nodded toward the door. "heh... maybe we should... uh.. get movin'? I'm not even sure if the king is here right now..." remembering what he was looking for, Shadow pulled out a sword hilt, made of highly polished crystalline substance. "hey... would you have use for this? it can store an enormous amount of energy, and it doesn't seem to break too easily, maybe you'd be able to fashion a blade for it, incorporate that into your learning." Shadow handed the hilt to Tyanno. "Don't ask where I got it from, the place brings up way to many bad memories..."

Tyanno took the curious object in hand and examined it. "Alezand would probably have more use for than me, but I hope you know that someday I may have to ask you where you acquired this. But I will take it off your hands for now." Tyanno smiled. "Thank you, now shall we get going. I am very eager to get this venture started."
He lead the way out of the dusty classroom and down the halls, their ceilings so vaulted that the eye could scarcely distinguish them. Tyanno hadn't found exactly what he was looking for, but he did find a direction, which was better than nothing. And his heart was racing at the thought of having the very backing of the Mage King himself. It was very exciting indeed.
