Indeed, being a pest was something he excelled at, and he couldn't miss the opportunity to harass someone powerless against him. Not that he cared when they replied, as usual, with something along the lines of 'You are a coward for wasting your time insulting those weaker than you,' or, 'Get out more, old prick!' Instead, she began to resort to replying with petty jibes at Muryllis. She didn't even turn back to look at him, anymore, knowing that he probably didn't care, anyways.

"You... seem awfully calm... considering the possibility of a fight that seems to be here," Akai stated bluntly, "After all, this old man seems eager to get into a fight, himself. Though I suppose you wouldn't care." She looked at Lucy with a face that almost asked, "What are you, stupid?" She turned back to Muryllis, and asked, "Well, sir spellweaver, how may I earn your esteemed respect?" Both spellweaver and esteemed had a bite to them that suggested her dislike of the man before her. She didn't want to get into a fight, but she was quite eager to get into a war of words.

"Well, we had better do as the girl asks," Akai glanced at the spellweaver, and, not waiting for a reply, turned and left. Obviously, she wasn't going to find the person she sought, here. She wondered if the spellweaver would follow her, and also, whether or not he had anything better to do with his spare time. She didn't need to wait for him. He could catch up, if he wanted to.

Sadly for Akai, Muryllis had no desire to follow her, or to catch up to her. "Very well then, Guardian Lucy," he said to the incompetent young girl standing guard at the most prized building of Aesir. What was the world coming to? "I shall be in my study at the Academy or in the library, as usual. And please, do get rid of that useless strip of metal," Muryllis added, pointing to her sword; whatever the girl hoped to achieve with a sword if someone better than her with magic came along, he had no idea. That said, the Master Spellweaver left, disappearing behind a darkened corner into the night. ((still no muse )) |
