Intrupted sleep

Novex saw her aura in front of him, walking away. He lunged forward at her.
" i might not be able to see, but i know where you are" he said swinging his blade, cuting the hood of her cloak.

She stopped abruptly, her head slowly turning.
"Now....." she whispered, unstrapping the staff and taking off the coat, flinging them onto the forest floor. Her eyes began to tint with red. She opened her mouth, fangs began to lengthen and sharpen. A hiss came out, animal-like and full of rage. With unnatural speed, she leap onto Novex, pushing him back, and leapt onto a nearby tree trunk. Her fingers now had claws on them, dark and evily-sharp. She growled at him.
"Now, you have done me wrong. If I want to harm or eat you..." A predatory roar resonated from her mouth, echoing through the forest, making all animals shiver and flee in terror.
She yelled,"I would have done it!" She roared again.

Novex felt himself pushed back, he quickly regained his ballance and scanned the area. Spoting her aura on a near by tree he got into a fighting stance .
" trust me, i know you could have killed me, but believe me when i say, i'm doing this for my pride. You said i would not be worth it to fight me. I don't want special treatment for being blind" he yelled back.
Novex studied her aura, it was now flowing in multiple directions, this was different from the last one, he sensed something else there but he couldn't detect it. The aura was striking out at him, keeping him back.

"Pride?!" She roared and began to laugh.
"The sin of you humans!" She climbed down and slowly circled him, keeping her red eyes on him.
"If it sounded like I was pitying you or trying to give you special treatment, forgive me," she said, she picked up her staff and coat.
"But, I was only expressing my wish not to 'spar' with you. If we meet again, maybe........human." She took a step back and leapt high into the air, angling herself onto a branch. Once landed, she leapt again to another tree hundreds of feet away. She continued until she could not be seen.......

Novex heard her jump off, he slouched to the ground, almost stunned.
" That power, wow. I would not have won that" he told himself.
He slowly stood up, he had seen which way here aura had gone, so he diciaded to follow it.
" i could learn something" he told himself

A crash in the trees and Rema landed, on one knee and one bent foot. She panted, going on her hands and knees, taking deep breaths.

Yellow, glowing eyes blinked in the surrounding darkness. Dark forms stalked in the trees, making a complete circle around the new visitor.

Rema sniffed and looked up. 'Wolves,' she thought. She had landed in the middle of a hunting pack. Her head sharply looked all around her. She showed her teeth. Growls came out of the dark. Something moved towards her. A white and gray wolf stepped, cautiously, teeth bared. It was the leader, the Alpha. Rema watched the Alpha, keeping her gaze on it, unblinkingly. Now, the two were only 4 feet away from each other. They both growled and clenched their teeth. Then, Rema slowly laid on the ground, on her belly, her elbows holding her up a bit, her knees bent under her. She bowed her head and waited. After what seemed like several minutes, she felt a snout lightly push against her head. She looked up, the Alpha had a calm, wise look on its face. Rema rubbed her cheek against its neck and slowly stood up.
"I'm glad we have made a mutual agreement........Alpha she-wolf." She said kindly. She picked up her staff and coat and walked, the pack following her.

Novex had been walking but he had to stop, That girls aura was ahead of him, along with smaller auras. As they started disaperring into the trees, novex stepped out and followed.
"this girl becomes more interesting every time i see her" novex said, stepping through the trees in front of him.

Rema stopped abruptly. She sighed in exsperation.
"Why are you following me?" She turned. "You have a deathwish, human?" She spat. The wolves began to growl, eyes glowing in the dark, staring at him.

Novex heard her voice and the growls of large dogs.
" i have no deathwish, trust me on that, but lets just say its interest that pushes me on" he said, fingers tapping on his weapon.
" i see you've made some violent friends since the last we talked" he joked.

[rema]

Rema groaned.
"Please, interest yourself with the path going that way." She pointed with her staff to the way he just came.
"And, my 'violent friends'," she gestured with a small sweep of her hands around her,"wouldn't be so violent if you humans quit trying to hunt them down for pelts and meat." She turned and walked with the pack, knowing he would still follow.
'I might have to kill him and feed him to the wolves, just to be rid of him,' she thought.

"sorry my dear, i like to study one thing at a time, and you came before that trail"
Novex heard her acuse him of the deaths of animals, he felt fury, it made him want to lash out, but he held back.
" how dare you, you blame me for this, i have never hurt an animal in my life" he yelled " you don't even know my name, and you still blame me for such things. I eat the friuts of the forest, i live off the things nature grows"
He settled himself, focusing on the wolfs, trying to count them.
" understand, i killed that one person cause he tried to kill me. But you don't want to kill me, or i think you don't, but i would never hurt an animal"

[rema]

"Did you not hear what I said?!" she hissed.
"I said,'you humans.' And the only thing I can blame you for is harassment of my peace, interrogating, and stalking. So, I'll even ask." She looked back at him and said with gritted teeth,"Please, go find some other thing to occupy your short life."
She turned once again, leaving the man behind, the wolves still watching him with yellow eyes as they followed her.

Novex stood there as she walked away, he wasn't going to give up that easily.
" i understand that you are offended by me following you, and it was not easy for you to ask so nicely. but i have a job to do, and i have to finish it" he said.

[rema]

She still walked, saying loudly,"Your job doesn't involve me."
Her hands had tightened into fists. She was now hating this pestering man. She was feeling anger running in her veins, her heart pumping hotly.
'When will he get the d@mn point?!' she thought

Novex felt her aura blast out in anger, whipping at him, he stepped back, this force pushing him, he then stopped and held his ground.
" My job is to find the mysteries of this land, and you my dear, is one of them" He stated, grabing his weapons " i don't want to hurt these animals in a fight, but i must do my job, no matter what the cost"
In those last words pain flowed through him, he couldn't hurt these animals, yet his job would force him into these situations.
