David walked inside of the manor that belonged to him. It was nice and as he remembered it. He walked into the large living area and onto the couch that was there. A fire was already going and roaring to life. He was able to relax somewhat. He removed the spear that was on his back and placed it on the table that was infront of him.
A servant of his came around to see who it was, but didn't say anything seeing how his master was resting. David didn't bother calling out to him either. He watched as the red and orange flames danced in the fire place. The back of it was burnt black from ash and smoke. Small cracklings and pops could be heard as the wood was being burned. Some embers could be seen flying out and landing in front of the fire only to quickly die out.

Nyle walked through the streets of this unfamiliar town. To be honest this entire continent was new to her. This city seemed to have a strange feeling about it. She felt like everyone was staring at her or something. Did she look different from everyone else? She might have dressed like a foreigner and her natural black and white might have turned a few heads here and there but nothing too outstanding.
"I wish everyone would knock it off...where is this place!?", Nyle thought to herself. She was in this town to stay with her Uncle until she was able to get her own place. Nyle stopped at a house that wasn't a house at all but a manor. Nyle was confused, sure she had never met this uncle but she did expect him to have a big home.
Before walked up to the door she double checked the crinkled paper that she held in her hand. The address was correct...or at least the parts she could read. Tap, Tap, Tap. Nyle knocked on the door. There was no answer. Again, Tap, Tap, Tap, and nothing. She sighed. Nyle wasn't the type to just let things be. She pushed against the door and it creaked open. Nyle stuck her head in and spoke softly, "Uncle Geed, are you home?...is this your home??", she ended sarcastically.
Nyle stepped quietly from room to room. She heard the crackle of a fire and felt its movement. Fire, after all, was her element. She walked into the room with the fireplace. It appeared to be the main room of the house. Nyle stared blankly at the fire, her eyes only on that, while she side stepped through the room. She broke her gaze to call for her uncle. "Uun--," she was cut short as she tripped of what thought was a stick and fell flat on her face. She quickly sat up and cried, "SON OF A -- ", but stopped herself again. Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes. At the same time she noticed a man, who obviously wasn't her uncle in the room. Nyle didn't care. She just sat bewildered on the ground rubbing her face looking like the clumsiest fool in the world.

David had fallen asleep and thus didn't hear the knocks that was at his door. In fact, he didn't even hear the yelling from the girl that entered the manor. He was oblivious to that fact and simply had his head slightly tilted back against the couch he was sleeping on. It was after all a rather tiresome day.
However, the sound of someone falling near by and the sudden burst of a loud voice pierced the veils of sleep. He opened his eyes sleeply revealing a shade of blue that most women seemed to like. He scratched the back of his neck and then looked around the room to find the source of the sound. There didn't seem anything out of place. His spear was still on the table in front of him. The fire was just as loud as it was before David had fallen asleep if not louder. And then there was a woman on the floor looking up at him.
David took a double take of the lady that was on the floor. He blinked his eyes and then rubbed them making sure that what he saw was true. He didn't get up at first, but then slowly rose from where he was seated. He walked towards the woman looking at her with his blue eyes. His hand which was at his side was threatening to draw one of his two swords. However, it moved and became a streched hand to help her up.

The man who had been sitting in the room gave her an odd look. He rubbed his eyes, yes Nyle was real she was the crazy girl tumbled over on the floor. He slowly stood up and walked over toward her. He had his hand by his sword. Was he going to attack her?? "I -- uh, well --", she stuttered trying to explain herself. Then the man held out a hand to help her up. "Oh," she said quite relieved. Nyle took the strangers hand and pulled her self up. He was much taller than she was so she had to look up. She glanced at his deep blue eyes for a second and paused everything. Thought and speech. She blinked and then spoke, "I am guessing you aren't, my uncle, Geed Richards".
She was awfully the close to the man so she took a couple steps backward. She looked around the room from where she was standing and even glanced at the fire again. She felt embarrassed, here she had intruded into his house and disturbed him. What was she to say? Nyle rubbed her forehead which was red from where she had fallen. Then she looked back at the man. Nyle cleared her throat. "I apologize, I must have the wrong house. It was rude for me to just enter even if this was my uncle's house. Especially since i have never met this uncle I would have never have entered if i knew this wasn't where he lived. I should really be going i didn't mean to disturb you..." she stopped herself. When she was nervous she talked and a lot and very fast. "....sorry...."

David helped the girl up and saw that she was rather short compared to him. He observed her a bit more and noticed that she had streaks of white in her hair. However, it seemed to suit her rather well. "Geed Richards?" David replied questioningly. He raised his hand to his chin thinking about the name. He motioned the girl to take a seat as she was speaking rather rapidly. He had gotten everything that she said or at least had the summary of it.
"Geed Richards was a man, who followed my father in the various Crusades." David replied, "In fact, he served under my father in the same squadron. However, if you didn't know they are thought to be dead. But there is a lack of evidence. All I really know is that my father disappeared on the last Crusade that he was sent on. Geed followed him loyally as always. So I don't know if your uncle is dead or alive. However, he did reside in this very house, though it didn't belong to him." He took a seat back on the couch of where he was originally seated. He had hoped that he answered any of the girls questions. However, he had a feeling that she had more to ask of him.

Nyle took the seat that was offered to her. She sat on the couch and watched the man talk. He did know of Geed but he thought her uncle was dead along with his father. Well, the man didn't think they were dead, other people did. Nyle was a little more than shocked. She gave the man a sheepish smile and let it all sink in. Her uncle was her last resort.
The man sat next to her on the couch and still she said nothing. Nyle had a feeling that she had more to ask of him. She twiddled her thumbs for a second. She spoke up finally, "You see, my uncle Geed is the only family that I have left. My father told me to live with him where ever he was. My father said I would be safe with him...but now --" She stopped and looked into the man's eyes.
"I have nowhere else to go...what I am getting at is...", she paused. Nyle felt ashamed to ask a stranger such a pitiful question. "Could I stay with you? I can cook and clean. I will also stay out of your hair". She grabbed his hand and looked at him with an expression equal to a sad puppy. "Please?", she asked. She didn't look it at the moment but she was very prideful and begging was a large jab to her ego.

David couldn't help, but watch the twiddling of Nyle's thumbs. It wasn't bothering him, it was just catching his attention. Ok, so it was bothering him. However, he made no comment about it. His right leg slightly rising and falling waiting for her next statement or whatever. It had grown silent again it and that was something that bothered him when someone else was here.
His head turned towards the lady's face when she spoke. He heard what she said and was asking. He sighed and looked away for a moment. There wasn't anything wrong with that. Another servant wouldn't be that bad. There were plenty rooms in the manor as well for one to reside. He turned his gaze towards her again seeing the expression on her face. He let out another sigh before speaking. "What's your name?"

"What's your name?", was all that he asked. It made her strangely nervous. He didn't say yes or no he just wanted to know her name. How could she have forgotten that!? Here she was asking to live with this man when they hadn't even exchanged names. She let the man's hand go and placed her hands on her lap. "Nyle. Nyle Theodore Grace," she said.
She didn't know why she added her middle name. She hated her middle name. Especially when her father and grandparents referred to her as Theo. No matter how many times she reminded them that her name was Nyle they still insisted calling her Theo. Probably cause it drove her up the wall. She kept her eyes locked with his awaiting her relief, she wanted an answer.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Nyle." David replied, "I'm David Augustine, the son of Jonathan Augustine." He reached out his hand again towards her in a sign of friendship. Of course, he made sure not to grip her hand too hard since she was a lady. He then slowly rose and picked up the spear from the table. He slung it back into the leather strap that held it against his back.
David then offered her another hand to help her up from her seat. "I guess I should show you around." David suggested. Once she was on her own two feet, he lead the way towards the dining room and then into the kitchen which was on the opposite side of the main hall of the living area.

"Lady Nyle?", she thought. She didn't mind but usually men od David's age referred to her as a skinny brat or just called her 'kid'. She took his hand and smiled. David got up and grabbed his spear. He offered her another hand, she took it, and stood up.
Nyle's face burst into a warm smile with, "I guess I should show you around." Nyle was so happy. They walked through the dining area then into the kitchen. "Wow, David, this is a real swanky place you have," Nyle said before thinking. She was trying to be as polite as possible. "Eerr...I mean you have a very lovely home". After getting use to the kitchen she stopped and asked,"Where will I be staying?"

David arched a brow while looking at Nyle. She was using an odd word that he had never really heard of before. He shrugged it off and watched as she admired the place. With soon enough time she asked the question of where she would be staying. He simply smiled back and then exited the kitchen into a hallway that had several rooms with doors open. There was a small armory that had various armors and weapons inside. A strategy room that held various maps of different scales of Avaren and the surrounding areas. And then a large library that was next to that. Of course there were other rooms and such things but they were empty.
Eventually, David lead Nyle towards a stair case and walked up leading her upstairs. Once he reached the last floor which was the next floor as well. He looked back at Nyle and waited for her to be on the second floor as well. He then waved an arm as if presenting the entire floor. "Which ever room is available and to your liking." David answered her question. This floor held all of the bedrooms with the majority of them having their own wash room as well.
