"Do not see us as people that want to cause an uprising or provoke anyone." David calmly said though loud enough to be audible for everyone that was near to hear him. "Attacking Avaren would be foolish. Not only would we be more than likely slaughtered from our lack of resources and much smaller army, but what you, sir, have said is also true." He looked towards the man that had spoken to the group. David's eyes seemingly glowing with a strong blue flame.
"Do not doubt our intentions or get us confused. This village was not established to make war, but to aid in bringing peace. The group that has stood up and upon this platform are for the defense. We lack a full fledged army though one individual is very capable of taking down an entire army. Didn't the Word of God speak of such things. What we fear is nothing. But what we believe in is that Vidar has been blinded by his own power. Viewing what the prior king was doing is wrong, he took it upon himself and took the government upon his own shoulders. Something that only provokes fear and turned our normal daily lives into that of an ever lasting struggle. I, myself, am a major target of Avaren. Probably one of the ones that haven't been caught by her armies. Thanks to what the current law was though with little doubt in my mind that the law has changed. No one is safe in Avaren, but I'd rather die in freedom then being bound by laws and enforcers that are unjust."
David turned his gaze away and looked towards the group that had formed underneath him. People that shared similar views to his own. A smile formed on his face as he was glad that he wouldn't be alone in these series of events. They would aid and support him. He then turned upon his heel and stepped off of the platform and then slowly walked away from where the platform was at to head towards his own house. He was planning on making another trip to Avaren on his own. But that could easily be changed.

Tsuzuki smiled but sighed when it comes to the word 'god'. He never felt comfortable about that. He looked at David and said."I'll be waiting at your quarters milord."He said simply and began to walk away. However how was he supposed to make plans without paper? Oh well, The time would come when he needed it. He felt an odd disturbance he wondered about it but he figured to leave it be.

“Heh,” scoffed Rylith, “You claim you were outnumbered thirty to one. I wonder, did you actually fight those thirty at once, or were they just standing by watching you? Of course, if that was the case then you wouldn’t have been outnumbered.” He said; an edge of derision evident in his tone.
“You claim their army is confused and demoralized, yet what makes you assume this? So they were led on off on a fool’s errand and perhaps lost a couple soldiers in the process, I doubt that would do more than anger them and give them a bit of a desire for vengeance.” Rylith said with a shrug.
“Then there is the other matter.” Rylith went on without pause, “You claim Vidar to be a coward, yet then assume he will boldly strike out once more to attack your quaint little village. Has it not come to your mind that he might not be so willing to send out another expedition and might learn from his previous minor blunder? After all, since we’ve established that this little village of yours is nothing in comparison to Avaren’s military might, I highly doubt he would feel the least bit threatened into making a preliminary strike against you, where you holding the home field would most likely cause him a few more casualties than if you came to him.”
“You also presume much about your own skills, claiming tactical expertise to surpass that of Vidar’s generals, who are probably many times your elders and have been in battles before you were even born.” Rylith continued; intent on addressing everything the man had said, down to the last improbable claim.
“Of course, you keep coming back to your single combat. I believe first it was you defeating a single large warrior, then what was it?” he said, pretending to be in deep thought, “Ah yes, it was thirty men against you. Now what is it? Thirty men in combat with you and you were unarmored and unarmed? Now, it might just be me, but I think that tale seems a bit far-fetched.” Having made his points clear, satisfied at some of the mutterings that had now begun to spring forth from the on looking crowd, he addressed David’s statements.
“Even now, you continue to assume as a given that Vidar will react exactly how you intend for him to react, never giving thought to the question of ‘what if he doesn’t do as we plan?’. It also amuses me how you claim you are not looking for war; even though you make plans for fighting Avaren without any evidence they have plans for making any sort of military move against you. Of course, if you stuck true to your words of peace, then it looks like you aren’t in fact about to do anything to oppose Avaren, which means they will keep on committing their manhunts and executions unhindered.”
“In conclusion, however,” he said, finally at the end of his bit of a rant, “I still intend to pledge my support to your cause, as Avaren ultimately would have no love of me or the unique skills I could provide. Yet my support only comes when it is in a form convenient for me. After all, the most important thing here to strive for is survival. Should things look hopeless and destined to fail, I would be gone in an instant. Thus, while you can count me among your ranks, do not count me as some crazed ‘honor-bound’ imbecile who would throw his life away where it might better be spent elsewhere.”
“Yet for now,” he said, giving a slight bow, “I must be off, for I have business to attend to and family to see that they are accounted for, thus I bid you farewell.” He finished, turning from the crowd and making to depart.

"Talk about splitting hairs and wordplay. I never said I was unarmed, I said under armed, in comparison to my opponent and was wearing no armor but my robes and nerve. I never said I fought them all, but I had no ally beside me to help should they all had attacked. Vidars generals lead from the rear, I lead from the front, and I been have fighting to survive since I was a young boy. They have been fighting since the start of their careers. And age does not bring knowledge or wisdom, experience and skill do. One person who has never fought a battle can be more adept at planning than the soldier. It's known as talent. And the precautions we are taking IS to the end that we can NOT fully predict his movements and intentions. We prepare for the worst and hope the best. And the fact that troops are starting to question, proof was just in front of you with that soldier that had just passed through this crowd. His thoughts and expression seemed rather clear to me that he was unsure as to the validity of what he had been led to believe up and to this point. Was it not to you? But enough, we are not hear to squabble, this is a meeting to gather support and ideas as to better our safety and our lives. I appreciate you input nonetheless, and I look forward to discussing matters with you further on a later date. Farewell, friend..." Alezand replied in calm demeanor. He, despite his usually distaste for such rabble as this person, he knew that he needed every soul in support, of every creed and background. After all, that was what he was fighting to bring back to the kingdom. Freedom...
