"You'd accomplish a lot more than anyone else can seem to do, even if you were alone." Kalim replied to Sparky with a shrug, yet turned soon after to Napeir, who still seemed to be having some sort of fit. Seizure perhaps? Kalim didn't know exactly what to say at first, it was quite the unusual occurrence. Still, one aspect didn't seem at all out of place; that being the strange man's need to take pills. After all, someone like him not on some sort of medication would be a scary thought indeed.
After a few jumbled sentence attempts from the man, Kalim felt it was time he interjected, "While you seem to have plenty to talk about, so you claim, you don't seem to be getting right down to the point. First off, don't just say you need to talk about running this town, just go for it and talk about them. Secondly, don't say you need to discuss 'things', actually say what it is you want. The sooner you actually say what you mean, the sooner we can get on with our lives."

"Yes, and I would very much be interested in hearing what our old 'friend' Sparky has in mind of leadership of the town" The deep voice of the mage knight cut through the conversation and directed their attention to the alleyway near the house that Napier damaged. "For it surprises me for those are seemingly so smug about their knowledge of how things are and how they need to be, you two, " He addressed Kalim and Sparky as he stepped into clearer view, "Are terribly ignorant." Tyanno was easily older than all three, a young man though still. His bow was strapped to his back and a short sword that no one here could recall him wearing before could be seen at his side. "Adrienne has been taken. Alezand has not checked in with me. Reno and Shadow are gone. Folks, the battle is not over. It has moved to a whole new level. The only reason that troops don't march in here right now is for one, Alezand is negotiating with Vidar and is keeping an eye on the castle, and two, I keep watch here. And with help from Napeir here and other sources, we are alerted to danger. Anarchy, no. undermanned, yes. And if you think you're a better leader than Alezand or I, Sparky, you are more than welcome to prove so. It seems, just by general appearances and your broken speech, however that you have a hard time governing yourself. And you, Kalim, my arrogant comrade, if you are so sure of your assertions, WHERE have you been these many months? Instead of curing anarchy, you're intentions would be breeding it."
The mage turned to Napeir, "You, though a bit naive and easily goaded, are a loyal citizen and one I am proud to be associated with. Now is the hour of need. Our scouts have located the holding location of Adrienne. Its seems we have a rebellion within the ranks. Vidars lieutenant has broken off and seeks to instigate Alezand into a war. Alezand had last left me with the intentions that Vidar wanted to make a formal truce with Alezand. But I fear something has happened. Alezand hasn't returned and I don't like it. Napeir, I want you to come with me and we will make for Adrienne's rescue. You two.... Kalim, you are in charge of the village until we return, unless you want to help...." He let the offer hang in the air and turned to head off, signaling for Napeir to follow. "You are very eager to test yourself, I shall offer the chance. But be mindful of my instructions."....

Sparky held in a laugh as the man finished his speech. "First, I'd just like to say that you're proud to be associated with a pervert." With that, he pointed to the hole that Napeir had opened in the wall of the women's bath and sloppily 'repaired'. "Second, that man is a vandal.." Here, he pointed at the fence Napeir had literally just destroyed. "Is this your idea of a model citizen?" He let out a few 'ha's of laughter, before glancing at his own 'followers'. "At least mine are only drunk, sir. -They- don't destroy things, or peek at women.."
Sparky continued. "You, if you're such a good 'protector of the village', why are you leaving everyone simply to rescue one person? Is the one life of someone more important than the village as a whole? If you're one of the main reasons that this village is..." He looked around before scoffing. " 'safe', then why are you -leaving-? Is this 'Adrienne' some personal friend of yours? Are friends of yours more importan than a community? Those are simply -fantastic- leadership skills, sir. Fantastic."

Napeir was glad to be of help to the village, and ignored sparky for once. The location of Adrienne was found, and he was to help rescue. He still remembered the look of Adrienne when he was forced to leave her behind, but he made a promise, and he was going to keep it. The memory of the man, with a scar over his eye, was still hovering in his head, if he found him, he would, he couldn't bring himself to think of what he'd do. He turned to Kalim. "See you later Kalim" is all he said, and turned to follow Tyanno.

Tyanno waved a non committed hand at the pestilent Sparky. "If all you are going to do is sling around insults and twisted labels, I'm sorry, but there are citizens of THIS village, who helped secure it and foster it, who are in our need, such as Adrienne is. I'm sorry that I'm not able to spend all my time paying attention to you, for it seems no one else is ill bent about us bringing one of our own back to safety. If you could look past you own needs and wants, Sparky, you would realized that. It seems your memory and cognitive thinking are short today, forgetting that Adrienne has done much for the people here and is a member of this community, and that yes, I do organize the defenses here currently, yet you are so bent on discrediting me, that you don't even see the offer I give you. You want supervising position, you have one. Watch over the place, or are you getting cold feet? Kalim, I trust that all shall be well?" Nodding to Napeir, he turned back on his path. They marched a few hundred yards and came to the barracks, where half a squad stood at ease. "Come men, we mustn't tarry." The sergeant cleared his throat and looked in Tyanno's direction. "Sir, this is Royal Guard we are facing. Shouldn't it be wise to take more with us?"
Tyanno shook his head, "No, Sparky is correct in not leaving this place undermanned. If I was Ralqor, I'd be planning a secondary attack here while holding Adrienne as a diversion. Besides, the scouts are still there and we have Napeir here. He will prove most useful. Any word on Alezand?" "No sir." Tyanno sighed, "Then lets move out."

Napeir followed Tyanno to the barracks, a group of men were standing in wait for them. To be truthful, he had never actually approached the barracks, he was either away from the village, or resting. The men that Tyanno was talking to wore well crafted armor, though not as good as the ones the royal guard do. A few comments on Alezand and Tyanno said it was time to move, The men went into a sort of formation and started moving, Napeir moved to Tyanno. " So, how long do you think this will take us Tyanno. From what i understand, we have much to do, and little time to do it in" Napeir asked.

(i am guessing that this isn't open 'ny more....)
A dark cloak seemed to materialize out of one of the corners. "Greetings, Tyanno. You do realize that you're going to have to bust into the castle if you want to help Alezand... right? You are going to need firepower, not just manpower..." he trailed off and looked away. "I may be able to help if you so wish it, but I haven't been in a true fight for quite some time."
There was a soft growl, and Chao materialized from the darkness. The Dragon Dog had shrunk to the same size as a fox, scampered up Shadow's body and onto his shoulder, and knocked Shadow's the hood back as he did so. "I think that I may still be of some service however... It's only the Royal guard, right?" Shadow's eyes glinted, but his attempt at humor failed to travel through the rest of his face. "either way, it shouldn't be anything that I can't meagerly assist with, so whether you like it or not, I'm following you."
"Oh, and Napier, it looks like you have been practicing my old friend." Shadow smiled. "I have been practicing as well, but now is not the time to be displaying the fruits of my labor." Looking to Tyanno once again, he shook his head. "You are right though. Every second we waste is another enemy that stands in our path and another minute our friends are closer to death.
