Elsemir trudged through the slums in his light armour, only leather greaves, arm braces and shoulder gaurds, yet still in this he could best more than ten men. His full armour was in the house he was renting in the slums whilst he worked up the money to get his own house here. He had never owned land before. He had never sat long enough to do so. He wanted to find his ancestory and live out his families name. He had gotten closer in the last while. His contact with mages ha brought him dangerously close to his truth. But now he seemed to have lost that urge, the urge for hearth and home became stronger, it was a force more powerful and deadly than the warrior's blade. And now that blade swung for him. The defences were being built up and the armies of militia were being gathered. No time for sleep. Now the people worked in shifts so that more work could be done in the given time. People flooded through the gates maybe ten at a time. If it continued at this rate, and they could rally four of those ten at least to the sword they would have enough men to fight all the battles, win all the victories and secure all they needed to be a happy people. Now the people were happy people, focused, energised people. 'This town might just survive' Elsemir thought.

Clara walked around, looking at The Hollows Not what I expected she thought. As she looked around, she saw a Warrior. He looked strong and he made Clara feel a little nervous. She smiled and continued to walk around.

Elsemir felt a slight tingle in the air, one he had not felt since helped a mage escape the clutches of Avaren. He turned to see who was there, he knew no faces. But he was drawn to a beautiful young woman who seemed to be slightly cowering away from him. "Do not be afraid my lady." He said.

"Oh sorry, I'm not afraid" she said "Who are you? I'm Clara Dragonbeat" she continued. She smiled and pulled her cloak around her more.

"I am Elsemir Gurthen," He said with conviction, "I am too protect these walls, but too do so I require the knowledge of the town, knowledge I could gain if someone, would you be able to give me such a tour?"

Clara smiled He thinks that I am a local she thought. "There is a problem with that Elsemir, I'm not a local dweller, so we can walk about the village together and search the streets?" she asked

"Well then we shall both go on learning together." He offered her a hand, the metal gauntlet enlarging the hand to make it seem huge compared to her dainty hand. "I never learned much but I do learn well."

Clara gave a little laugh. "You are not like the Warriors at home, you're much nicer" she said blushing. She took his hand and started to walk.

"We are not all barbarians my lady, and I am more knight than warrior," He smiled, taking mental notes on everthing that he seen, "I am but a squire, my master died before he could teach me everything, but I feel that he still teaches me." He stopped and craned his eyes skyward, little drops of rain clinked on his armour, one ball hit his eye returning his head to Lady Clara. "Rain," He smiled, "A gift and a curse."

"Oh yes, it is raining" she said, looking at Elsemir "We must find some shelter, before we catch our deaths" she said again looking around for some form of shelter.

"Rain will not cause our deaths my Lady" He smiled holding out a hand too moore her out into the street, before saying too himself, "Far more malicious things will darken the sky soon." He continued down the street and waited for her too catch up, "If it is a problem of shelter my lady I will gladly offer you my coat to cover you."

Clara was flatted by Elsemir's offer, she decided to except his offer "That is kind of you Warrior, but will you not get cold and wet?" Clara asked

"No," Elsemir replied, his light beard had begun to fall down, "I built up a resistance to the cold and rain when I was up in the mountains with my master." He took of his coat, which was closer to a poncho, and wrapped it about the lady's shoulders. "Is that warm enough?"

"Oh yes it is warm enough, thank you" Clara said, smiling at the Warrior "In the mountains? Were you far from your home?" she asked

"I know no home." Elsemir said, moving through the crowds, who were running home. "I was and still am, an orphan, a knight took me into his care when I helped him, I lived on the streets and he needed a guide, I offered to help, and here I am now."
