"I am very glad that you did so. I have been quite pleased to be here with you." He set down his work in progress and dug into the meal he had prepared. He reached into his field pack and pulled out a large leather flask of white wine. he appropriated a pair of cups from seemingly nowhere, and poured them each a drink. The wind picked up and the air grew cooler as the evening fell. Sensing this, Alezand swiftly slid up beside Adrienne and wrapped the large blanket around them both as she continued her dinner. the trees gossiped in the breeze, an owl hooted its retort, and the fireflies danced to the tune of the bullfrogs and peepers. Nightengales added their mournful melody to the harmony offered by the amphibians. Alezand was engrossed upon the very thought of the girl sitting beside him right then. For all the trouble in the land these days, for all the senseless violence, the painful injustice and the spiteful hatred that spurred across the kingdom, Alezand could safely say that one good thing came of these past days of sadness. If he had did one decent deed amongst all the fights he got into, the blood he helped shed for the supposed greater good, he could be sure of one thing. He had let someone enter his steely clad heart and entrusted them not to destroy him. And he learned to trust himself as well to not harm that soul in turn.
He leaned in and whispered in her ear, a jesting thought crossing his contented mind. "I've got a secret to tell you..."

Adrienne smiled and as the wind picked up she shivered a bit until Alezand put the blanket around her. "Thanks." she said as she finished her food. Her thoughts were on the man beside her, shefelt ery lucky to have found him and she had let him into her heart. She knew deep down that he had let her in and she would try her best not to hurt it and she had to trust that he would not hurt her. "Oh? And what might that be?" she asked curious.

"I'm in love with you..." He whispered back, that mischievous mirth crossing over his bright, slate blue eyes. The seranade of the world around them and the visual masterpiece surrounding was intoxicating, as was the precesence of her next him. He leaned back, resting against the tree behind him, but still gently held her. He looked up in to the stars, thanking whatever force that held them there silently for this wonderous gift granted. Watching the fire shift and dance, he wondered of the things to come, how this would change his world around. But it was no matter to him. Content with the choices that he had made, he soon fell into a soft, dream filled sleep. He was comforted only by the mere sensation of her beside him, lulling him into that place of security. Only the shadows that were throw like animated choas by the light of the fire, showed any sign of what was still going on, outside this bundle of happiness...

Adrienne stred at him, he loved her? She felt warmth all over , "I'm in love with you too." she said. She looked at the beautiful strry sky and wondered. she thanked whatever force had brought them together and had held them together. She relaxed in his arms and soon she to fell asleep.
