Rith watched as the two Slivers interact with the one he had conjured, using the opportunity to learn more of these creatures. It would be quite the interesting experience for Rith...if he wasn't fighting for his life! It would seem the creatures communicated by subtle body language and insectoid single-mindedness. Rith's eyes slowly closed as he proceeded to improve his doppleganger using what information he had gathered. "OK Rith Old boy, think. If I was an ant, what would I want the most? Shelter? Food? Protect the Que--" Rith thought to himself before interrupted by the sound of the first one he had encountered moving to strike Rith's Sliver. His eyes opened in time to see the attack, stifling his urge to shout in anxiety as his conjuration reacted off of instinct, shoving its own pseudo head in to block the Hunter's arm.

It was then that both slivers knew exactly what was needed to be done. Both of them lunged forward at the false and began attacking it till it eventually was destroyed. The shadow sliver and hunter sliver then stayed there over what they knew would end up being the puffer that this mage owned. Their eyeless heads fixed on the individual before them waiting for his course of action.
Why the slivers reacted so violently towards the false, one might question. Well, it is a very simple explaination. The slivers seemed to have one major code that they lived by. If you help forward the hive, then you are welcomed. If you attempt to charge and destroy the hive, then you will be eliminated. When the fake sliver went to use the pseudo head as it's sheild they took it as a type of resistance and instantly went in for the slaughter. There was no room in the Hive for a sliver that went against them.
Now Rith's own fate laid in his next few actions. The two slivers gazed at him freely. They made no motion and no signs of communication. After all, they were bonded by instinct and purely nothing more. Their were many types of communication though body communication was a part of that, their true method came to telepathy. Either way, the human magic user was in trouble if he took any other action besides running for his life. Perhaps he could return another day to retrieve his puffer, but he wouldn't be getting it back today unless he could use magic without it.

"This isn't good..." Rith stated nervously as he watched the two Slivers stare him down, like they were gazing right into his soul. If only he knew more about these creatures, then he could have actually conjured a true one of them in his allegiance, rather than a fact-similie based off of what he observed on the spot. Felling these two beasts would nearly be impossible, and the odds would continue to stack if he continued summoning with the lone Puffer he had. These things were simply too powerful in groups, and the remainder of his Puffers sit in a leather pouch somewhere in the bowels of Avaren Castle.
It was decided, he'd have to make a break for it if he wanted to live, but he would need a diversion. Rith thought about his next move carefully, his eyes drifting to his Puffer that lies between the two Slivers. Then it hit him, whenever he summons or dismisses a creature, an explosion of smoke comes from the Puffer. The bigger the creature, the bigger the smoke cloud. "Now then, its simply a matter of determining just how big a creature I can make..." Rith thought as he ran a number of ideas through his head. Settling on an animal, Rith gazed intently at the object for a short while, not making a sound. Then once again the Puffer exploded into a fairly large cloud of smoke as the animal he summoned took shape, perhaps wedging more of a divide between the two Slivers. Just then, the creature he summoned spoke...
"Moooooo..." the Cow called in its usual unenthusiatic tone Cow's take inside the smoke cloud. It was then Rith sprung into a limped dash off of his uninjured leg into the smoke with his hand outstretched. As soon as his hand made contact with the Cow, another cloud of smoke erupted along with another "BANG!" as he dismissed the Cow and hobbled away as swiftly as he could out the other side of the smoke cloud, his Puffer in hand. Making a B-line for Aesir so that he may get his leg treated and perhaps find some information on these creatures...if he made it.

The slivers where yet again confounded by the smoke that had suddenly just appeared from the puffer. Their ever growing simple minds didn't comprehend what had happened since they had only thought that the puffer would work through contact. Either way, they both striked when they heard the sound of a cow. Though their strikes were to only make no contact at all.
They were both somewhat lost in the smoke that was there and eventually, made their way out. Once the smoke had cleared they both let out terrifying screeches of anger that their prey had escaped. However, his trail was in the soft ground that surrounded the lake. They easily pursued him in the appropriate direction. Continuing the chase as they were following both any scent that he left behind and the trail of his footsteps.
Soon enough they were upon their prey. Both of them were flickering in and out of reality. The sight both terrifying and real as inch by inch the gap was quickly closing. They were within striking distance. Their scythe like talons where held back ready slash away. However, nothing was swung as the slivers phased through the ground again not to come back up. In fact, they were now no where to be found and not even near Rith as if something else had gotten their attention or if there was some type of boundry that they couldn't cross. These questionable theories would have to be answered some other time, however.
