The way it works... supposedly....

[Reno]

Reno was amazed. not at the cities size, but at all the wealth that was openly displayed and almost flaunted in this city. he laughed and rubbed his palms together. Yes! this place will be perfect! Deciding to try his luck, he darted into the crowd, looking around for things that were easy to grab. On his first try, he only got one purse, but it was a heavy one. walking back to the place he had designated as his "watch post", he opened the purse and began to count the contents with glee. what an excellent catch... sighing, he put the purse into his pack, and sat leaning against the wall, observing his surroundings.

[Ariadne]

Ariadne was just walking around the city of Avaren for no reason at all. As she was walking she saw a young man and watched as he stole a purse from a noble lady from afar. She shook her head and walked towards him. While she was walking he was counting the money from the purse he had stolen. "Now wouldnt there be another way for you to gain money?." Ariadne asked the thief as she eyed him up and down.

[Reno]

Reno Started, as he hadn't heard the young woman approach him. "Ah!" he jumped up, drawing his dagger out of habit. Noticing that the young woman wasn't going to turn him in, or try to chop his head off, he relaxed. "Eh, well, I happen to be stealthy, and I was educated in the ways of thievery by a man named Valentine." he sighed. "well, that was his last name anyways, never found out his first name." Shaking his head, he tossed his dagger around in his hand, spinning it between his fingers. "By the way, My name is Reno." He looked around. "Beautiful place, this is..."

[Ariadne]

Ariadne lauhed a bit as the stranger jumped. "Ohhh...Well you still havent answered my question Sir." Ariadne watched as he spinned his dagger between his fingers. She then looked back up to his face. "My name is Ariadne. By beutiful do you mean as the place itself or the money it contains?"

[Reno]

Reno laughed. "I mean the city, not the money. if whta I had said was about money, then I would have used words like shiny, and gold." He shook his head. "And yes, I did answer your question. The art of theivery is the only art I know, and I am hoping to one day become an assasin. So I need all the practice I can get" He looked around. "are you a warrior? would you, by chance, know where the barracks is? If you cant tell, Im new." He looked back at the young lady, hoping she would know and possibly show him.

[Ariadne]

Ariadne shrugged.SShe listened as he answered her question again. She then shooke her head. "Nope..I really dont know the city of Avaren much. I know how to get to a few places. But one of them definately wouldnt be the warriors barracks. Im far from a warrior." Ariadne told him. "but if youre hoping to get lost going there..Im your girl." Ariadne said as she pressed her thumb to her chest.

[Reno]

Reno shrugged. "Eh, I wouldnt mind that. It'd give me a chance to explore the city." Reno laughed. "you must be a" He lowered his voice to a whisper. "mage then." returning his voice to normal, he nodded. "well, I guess ill take you up on your offer of getting lost. lead the way." Reno smiled. He had noticed the posters everywere that were about mages being heathens. I would almost welcome an attack of the true heathens, the one that I encountered during my trek here... Reno shuddered. He had almost been killed in that camp of demonic... things.

[Ariadne]

Ariadne smiled."okay...Well im going to be your "tour" guide." Ariadne said. Ariadne looked at him and smiled."Sure am. And personally I think some warriors have the wrong impression of us mages. Were not "heathens" yes I know some mages are evil but theyre are also EVIL warriors. Like some crazy guy who like to go around stabbing people." She then stopped talking and laughed a little embarrasingly."sorry about that. Sometime I can ramble." she said. Ariadne smiled again and started walking forth as she walked she turned her head."Arent you coming?" she asked Reno. But right after she said that Ariadnes body collided with the wall and she landed o the floor with a THUD.

[Reno]

Reno stepped forwards, almost caught her, but he lost his balance and fell straight on top of her instead. "My appologies miss." He jumped up, pulled her to her feet, and began to dust himself off. "I completely agree about the evil warrior thing. Not only that, but there are evil preists and queens and kings and other royalty..." He sighed. "well, I am ready when you are. and-" he was cut off by a loud growling from his stomach. "Heh... I am quite hungry, is there a tavern or something around here? preferably one with good food?"

[Ariadne]

Ariadne tried to get up but the warrioir had fallen on top of her. But then the weight was off of her and she was standing up."Its okay." Ariadne told him as she dusted herself. Ariadne nodded. "Yes there is a tavern, I dont know if they have food or not. But I know there is a tavern."

[Reno]

Reno smiled. "well, Sounds good. lets go check it out. Now we wont be lost. We will be headed for a place." He laughed. "I guess a drink wouldnt hurt either." His stomach growled again as he laughed. "allright1 I hear ya, dont worry..." He shook his head. looking around, his voice became one of curiosity. "So where is this tavern anyways? Near here?"

[Ariadne]

Ariadne laughed along with him. She heard his stomach growling."Well Im sure in the tavern they also make sandwiches." Ariadne told him"I dont really know about a good old meal though."she said."Well then lets be on our way....Its not that far from here"She said as she walked forward, this time not heading straignt into a wall.

Reno laughed. "most certainly." He smiled, this time, keeping the growl that came from his stomach much quieter. he picked up his pack, slung it over his shoulder and began to follow The girl. " I believe you said your name was ariadne, right?" he laughed. "you'll heva to excuse my memory... it isnt the best." He shook his head. but sometimes, it is too good...

Ariadne smiled back. "yes it is." she replied to him."well you dont have to wrry about that then." she said.
