Rotiart strode, slowly and purposefully, up the steps and into the grand castle of Avaren, finding his way to the King's Court. He felt it was time he brought his grievances to the king himself.
He had served the kingdom for many many years, thus had much faith in himself, believing that the king just might listen to a devout and upstanding citizen as himself, one who had guarded and served the city for so long.
"I have arrived to speak with Lord Father Vidar," he said briefly to a castle servant, hoping to might quickly get an audience with the great lord.

The servent bowed and opened the door and pushed Rotiart in before he could attack locking the door behind him. The room seemed dark at the end of the room in the Queens throne sat Laura. This was a trap she snapped her fingers and the ligts came on there were imperial gaurds as well as members of the church lineing the hall."well, well, well the rat has returned" she said standing up.
Note from Tori: No god-modding large numbers of NPCs to do your bidding. Anyways, Tori shall enter, now. And Tori is the only person other than Vidar with keys to the castle.

Tori bowed, and opened the door. Her eyes locked with Rotiart for a moment, but she didn't betray who she was. After all, he had never seen her, before. Laura did not know, but Tori was looking for evidence to condemn both of the two in this room. The mere fact that Laura was in the queen's chair meant she desired power. This lust would not be tolerated in a holy woman. She waited for her opportunity, calmly calcualting the battles as they would run. This was like taking candy from a baby. She was dressed in the outfit of an average servant of Avaren castle. Even Laura didn't know that this servant-girl was actually Tori herself. She pushed Rotiart through the door, not giving him a chance to respond. She then locked the door behind her. She was not about to let him escape. She walked up next to Laura, without her weapon, and stood there, as a normal servant would. Surely, dressed like this, and with her hair tied, she would not be easily recognized. Just as she arrived behind Laura, the lights came on, showing many guards. Who did she think she was, commanding troops for HER mission? What an ignorant woman. She would have to be delt with. Tori never spoke, as that would make her bearing and intent obvious, so she merely stood behind the throne, where her scythe waited, as she had prepared long before Laura.

Laura looked at the girl there was something wrong with this picture the servant seemed wrong like she knew her it was weird she had the felling that Rotiart wasn't the only dead man in this room she was.Anyone had the power to kill her but who had the guts was another question she guessed for a start it was the reason she was sitting in a throne she wasn't power hungry she had the tables removed as well as chairs and thats all that was left.
But if she did die that was an executional crime the murder of a holy servant of god so again it relayed on guts she stepped down the stair looking around there was a scythe next to the servant girl and all the guards just here to secure the room had weapons and members of the church had their daggers everyone was a suspect. She stopped at a safe distance away from Rotiart "so tell me traitor why you dare make my quest so easy and why you have returned to such a holy place"she asked.

Rotiart was a bit taken aback at his rather strange reception, yet he let no hint of this be betrayed by his facial expressions, as he knew these church mongrels siply fed of fear and thrived because of it.
"I'm just a lowly gatekeeper, in service to Avaren a great part of my life. I'm not wantin' any trouble here, just to talk to Lord Vidar. I've done nothing wrong as you and his lordship know full well, simply opened and closed the doors."

"We have evidence that can condemn you, and I am here to pass the law into action," she said starting to circle him.

Tori was getting annoyed. Not only did this woman think that she was better than Vidar, who's word was th Lord God's law, but she was taking her time in killing this Rotiart. She was not in the mood to be patient today, for she was having odd cramps in her stomach. Tori imagined that, any second now, this Laura might end up proposing that they join forces against Vidar. She continued to stand behind the throne, however, nearby her scythe, that she may use it to slay the heathen that happened to be victorious, whether it be he who was openly heathen, or the heathen who pretended to be a lady of the Lord God.

Uneasiness filled the air of the room. Sweet was building on the figure that belonged to Rotiart. However, the character did not change it's posture. He remained staring at the two infront of him. His eyes occasionally looking from soldier to soldier that was within his preferal vision. Eventually something happened. As a bead of sweat dropped from the side of his head onto the shoulder, it didn't hit the shoulder but passed through with a sort of mist rising from the location showing that the bead was passing through to only hit the floor. The guards that saw this became more aroused and were ready to strike. Though they waited for the command the one figure that stood there was not Rotiart but infact another creature in his form.

Laura shouted in distress as he backed away. Grabbing a ceremonial dagger and chucking it at the monster."Attack, attack, attack"there was a commotion as bow men launched an attack on the thing as Laura drew her proper sword and got ready to fight. There was a laugh from above her there was a spirit sitting waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
