"Christine!" He yelled in alarm as he slashed down three soldiers. "Saphira! After them!" Saphira the dragon nodded. She was taller then him now and she zipped off after the horse. Eragon ran. With his gifts form the elves, he was faster than any horse. Soon, he has caught up with them. He raised his palm and cried, "Jiedra!" The horse's legs broke and the soldier tumbled down the horse. Eragon's strength was depleted greatly and he dived under Christine, cushioning her fall before blacking out.

Christine screamed as the horse camedown and she fell from it, landing on Eragon's stomach and after that she blacked out too, her head hitting his shoulder.
A few hours later she woke up on Eragon's chest. She tried to smile but almost cried. He risked his life again for her.She ran a hand through his hair, shivering. "Eragon...wake up. Please wake up"

Saphira floated down to Eragon and touched him gently on his cheek. When Eragon did not respond, she roared into the air. She then looked at Christine, as if saying, "Maybe we should just carry him back to your house."

Tears started to run down her cheeks. She nodded. She looked a the dragon try to smile, but couldn't. "I will ride him to the alley. Will you follow me please" she said and got on the abandoned horse and rode back to the alley

Saphira nodded slowly and kept her eye on Eragon. Eragon she said, but there was no response. She felt a light buzzing in her mind. Then she took off after Christine.
