Alezand strode up the once familiar path to the modest house that once was his home a few months back. It looked exactly as they had left it, and yet it was still strange. He wennt up the steps and gently pushed open the door. It swung open with a dull creak as he took in the sight slowly. Documents, maps and ens still layed strewn across the dining room table. Two large barrels of weapons cramed to the brim still stood vigilantly in the corner. Some extra cloaks and leather bandings were tossed on the couch and on the arm chair. Yes, they did leave here in a hurry, when they discovered what was to come. Alezand stepped heavily into the room, gazing around like a lost child. hard to believe that it was only two and a half months ago that they mobilized to fight. Home was so foreign. But it was welcome confusion. He made his way over to the couch. Staring blankly into the dead fireplace, he just suddenly fell down into the couch. He instantly felt relieved, and a wave of exhuastion crashed over him. One that he had held at bay in the back of his mind for weeks. On the battlefield, there is no place for fatigue, it will kill you swifter than the blade that befalls you. But here was place of safety... for now...

Tyanno was making his way slowly back to their old home. Alezand had traveled ahead. He said he needed to secure some things, and didn't want both of them in the city in case something happened due to their presence. He left Tyanno all of his gear, which baffled Tyanno, but he knew that Alezand had been playing this game long than he and respected his judgement. he suddenly noticed the door was open. Reaching over his shoulder, he drew Alezands long elegant sword. The blade was still shiny and brilliant, the only thing that didn't seem to weather during their time out in the field. He stepped lightly as possible and moved into the doorway. the entrance hall was clear, he made his way to the main door on the right and saw a figure slump down on the couch. Tyanno drew in a breath and raised the sword over his head, poised for any action dealt into the current situation.

Alezand sighed aloud, "Put that blade away, no one of ill intent would enter here, for everyone here knows that this place stores no items of value, and that this place stands as the home that those people of weak hearts and evil ways fear most. They know our purpose, and they would not dare so far into the wolf's den. Have I taught you nothing?" It was a bit harsh of hi, but, Alezand was not in the mood. Time had been taken from them, it seemed. It would be a year or better before this conflict would be resolved, at least for them. A year that they would never get back in their young lives. Alezand had been fighting for his life and freedom since his was a boy, and yet even now, as a young man, it seemed like this campaign was foriegn to him. Despite their pledge to make their sacrifice for the betterment of others, this still didn't seem to fit into what they had planned in their future as the people's servant's and peacekeepers. "Go drop the gear in the corner, and llie down. I'll fix dinner in a few minutes." he spoke quietly, still without turning back towards Tyanno. Alezand wondered how he could ever be the same again...
