"Have they left me to only die? Where have they gone? Will I just starve to death, or will this slash bring more blood and kill me?" Her hand reached beneath her collar bones, the deep slice causing a painful burning sensation against her nerves. Her eyes winced and tightened closed.
Lacking many thoughts, her mind had become empty for moments, her eyes reopening to stare up at the ceiling, the black pools of dark filling with tears. Loneliness she began to feel, enclosed, detached. This was fear, she then recognized. It is truth, we fear the unknown. Insidia knew that she could not move, she were far too weak, feeble, as a bird would be with a broken wing. Bitter solitude, bleak and dreary, like a clouded grey sky, one which you cannot see through. Her heart danced a morbid beat, one which made it move quickly, with intensity and disgrace.
"That king...that woman...Everyone has left me, and it has been long and there is still no one here, no doors, no walking. I..do not even know where I am..." Her face felt warm, her lips frowned in slight despair, her throat tightening, a gasp following as her eyes felt tense and water fell out their sides.
"I miss him...If I had not wandered...I was always wrong to wander so far and worry him. Did I? Did I say he should die? No! No! I did not mean that!" She began to softly sob, both hands covering her face, her weeping eyes.
"Oh, Father...I'm terrible." Her words dripping with sobbing agony, she spoke, knowing he could never hear it.
And it was not the priest who she spoke to.
