Perhaps, I'm just over thinking it or something, but why not increase the amount of money that higher level characters get? I mean, I know we don't want a bunch of cities all of a sudden popping out of anywhere, but once you reach a certain point it would take a very long time to build up money. Nothing wrong with it being 5, it's just that I'm one of those few people that have actually spent their money on anything such as a house and magic weapons. And going for a guild or a village is just so long with only earning 5 gold per posts.
Well, if it where possible to add some type of advance payment system on the board, I think that would be rather cool. Your payment increases with your level and such. But then again, if enough people were to get high enough then we'd end up seeing like as many towns or cities as there were rpers. Even so I acknowledge the upsides and downsides to this offer.

That's a pretty good idea. I say you start getting ten gold per post after you have reached level four.

By the time you're level seven, you won't NEED gold.

There is a problem with that, you get gold for you posts, as you post. It is impossible, from my knowledge, to change what certain members get per post, and it would be unfair for those who join now, and only get five gold per post, while the old members got more.

Not necessarly, because not all of the older members would recieve more gold. By the time you reach level seven you will want gold, because I'm almost there and I want gold very much so I can start a guild and have my own town. However, a mediocre 5 gold per post isn't that much to get all that stuff. Also, there is a way to do it, though it would be totally up to the admin if this were to happen or not.

Actually, the gold is set to 15 per post.
In other words, 1000 posts gets you a guild is you don't buy anything else.
Houses, I believe, were about 50 posts.
Magic weapons/armor are 200 posts; it's basically just taking the cost and dividing it by 15 to find out how many posts it takes.

Okay, well I retract my statement about only 5 gold, but still, 15 gold is quite a bit, but if you'd want to get everything you'd have to have over 2,000 posts.
I'm just suggesting that it could be raised for higher leveled characters. Or perhaps even add a donation type thing so money could be sent to various rpers.

A way of doing this is to use equations. I can teach anyone! Something like var L=level # var g=Gold per post G=[15*(L<5)]+[30*[(L>4)*(L<7)]]+[60*(L=7)]. But, that is just an example of piecewise functions. I don't even know if you can use functions, or not. I thought I would try to help, though. Well, I think you can use equations, but I don't know if you can use the variables I mentioned as determining factors.

Well, wouldn't that just mean that after you've gotten ot level seven, to completely get everything you would have to put more work in? It just seems like it provides something to aim for even when you're done with the skill tree.

Yeah, I agree.
The post requirements were down-graded. I don't think the gold should be as well, as magic weapons and armor, guilds, houses, and cities aren't for everyone. Only those who work and get up high will get them. Plus, if you stick with the site, you WILL get there eventually.

I still say it should be increased after you pass the test. How about twenty gold per post after level four?
