I wish to greet all ov you and maybe get acquainted.
Although I do not actually "Role play" I really am just an author, sharing my writing and exploring other's as well. I never become the life I create from my inverted dreams and visions. Although I don't consider myself very good, I do enjoy it and have very dreary and grim things to show to you and ovcourse with that, simple entertainment. I'll answer any questions you have as well, there is much to say, but I'm not one to continue on about myself, I rather know...you.
The darker side is more romantic than what eyes and many minds can see.

Haha well I am DemiGODDESS, so that makes me a female. I'd hope you noticed that. I happen to part ov the "true" Gothic lifestyle and viewpoints ov things. And, I worship myself as my own god (it isn't as crazy and egotistical as it sounds, actually.) If you meant a character I'll be playing, you'll see soon enough, I suppose.

Can I find it very odd that you worship yourself as your own god, yet your sig pic has a cross pendant in it? Especially seeing as a cross is the symbol of Christ, who claimed to be the same as the God who proclaimed himself as the one true God.

Well its a philosophical worship.
And a cross is not just the sign ov Christ.
It mainly is if Christ is crucified to it { the crucifix }.
The cross was used before Christ for crucifixion before he was born. Its also just decorative jewelry. A picture is also just a picture you know. Many many people wear decorative crosses for fashion.
Personally I wear what some people consider a cross. It has appeared in Christian religion before, however it dates before that. It's called an ankh, the Egyptian symbol for life, however others believe it is also the sign ov fertility as well.

A cross has generally come to be a sign of Christianity, much like the hollow fish. And some pictures are not just pictures. Many times the Christian church used icons, pictures or statues meant to represent spiritual things. To me and many other Christians, there is only one meaning for a cross. I don't have any problem with someone wearing one, or with ankhs, I just wanted to point out the seeming irony.

Well I do realize people view these things that way, ovcourse. But, I'm correcting the assumption in saying for me { and time to time i wear "Gothic" looking crosses } they're jewelry. I think if decorated correctly is a beautiful piece.
Though I'm more loyal ankhs and grim reapers and the such, hehe.
Heh, just changed my signature to represent my character anyway.

I worship myself as my own God. And it is as crazy and egotistical as it sounds.
No fooling, I don't worship myself.
I don't really...worship anything, come to think of it. Elyan's extremely Christian though, so go figure.
The crucifix was a torture device in the ancient world used as an alternative to hanging by gallows. It generally hurt much worse, but the body did not have a risk of ripping off as easily and therefore could be used to set an example to the world who you don't mess with.
Thus, all that aside, my point is this.
Crosses, philosophy, and teenage angst aside.
Don't mess with the Romans.

No angst here, just to clear any mist. I'm a very content person.
Torture, though, is interesting as cruel as it is. Though many strange things fixate my curiosity to learn about.

Eh. I don't find it odd to find torture interesting. Remind me to tell you of the most painful way I've ever thought up for killing someone.

The most interesting thing is however, the death ov other men is human instinct although religions try to tell us it is not and its evil. Anger is healthy, it is human, and very human to be intrigued by such things as death and torture, et cetera. There is only one "Religion" that allows us to embrace and recognize our animal instincts and prosper from them in a certain way. I follow that way ov life, however it is not something you can convert to or become, it is who you are and always recognized yourself as, a very philosophical thing. My writing, for example tends to be dark and what would frighten most people when I get the chance, I embrace my more sinister (however its only human) side. Evil is only as wrong as people tell you it is. I apologize to the Christians and other religious people here if what I'm saying offends you and comes off blasphemous, that is not my intent.
