Færys looked around the Inn. She wasn't any more than nineteen, but she needed a job desperately. She wondered if she couldn't use her skill to help attract customers. She had tried to apply at the bar in Avaren, but that had landed her in jail. Now she just wanted to stay away from there until she had gained suitable power that the guards could not catch her at all. She walked into the bar, singing to relieve her nerves, and walked up to the bar and called out, "Excuse me!" Upon saying that, though, she suddenly grew more timid, and proceeded to ask her question in a far more subdued voice. "Is Miss Roberts or Mister Burdock here? I'm... looking for a job." Not immediately receiving a reply, she sat down, and began to sing, again,
♫"Uta no utaou daichi no uta wo kaze wo idakou..."♫

"You have a lovely voice."
She had to interrupt, she just had to. Curiosity wouldn't let her stay quiet. Walking out from the back area with a still damp glass in her hand, the blonde girl began to dry it. The Inn had been quiet all morning, and magic got boring after a while. It took a bit more time to do it the normal way.
Putting the glass under the bar, Hayzie leant on the top, her elbows propped up and her chin leaning on slender hands. "You're looking for a job, huh?" she asked, green eyes glistening. This really was going ahead quickly, which there were definitely no complaints about. "What sort of job are you after?"

"I was..." Fæ stammered, nervous at having been interrupted, "l-looking for a job as a... waitress... or something. I c-can also offer entertainment... I-I think you've already h-heard my voice... I can d-dance, too... I... um... I... Miss Roberts... I... I mean, are you Miss Roberts?" She was quite nervous, and as she continued, she slowly became even more nervous. She had never applied for a job before, and was not sure how this Hayzie woman was going to treat her. Sure, she worked hard. Every day, she worked hard just to find food often enough to stay alive. She couldn't help but wonder if this Hayzie person was nice, or not. She seemed nice, so far, but living in fear of assassins every day of one's life makes on an untrusting soul. She agonized over Hayzie's reception of her character, while Hayzie seemed to be analyzing her. She suddenly felt self-conscious about being seated, and stood up abruptly, though not so much as to cause strange stares.

Hayzie stood up straight at the girl's mixed mangle of nervous words and raised her eyebrow. Letting her continue, the blonde watched in fascination. Was her name already scaring people and her presence even more so?
"Whoa.. hey.. stop," the innkeeper laughed, holding her hands up in the air. "I wasn't about to interrogate you or anything. Are you always like this around people?" If she was, then would a waitress really be suitable? Then again, maybe it would boost her confidence a little if she was. Confidence was needed by most in this day and age, girls especially. Heck, confidence was what had brought Hayz where she was now. Confidence and fear, anyway.
"Why don't we start again? I'm Hayzie. Hayzie Roberts. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Fæ relaxed instantly... This woman was firm, but not so much as to be unkind. Fæ thought out her reply, wondering if she could make it sound better. She knew she liked this woman, already, and wanted to be more like her. She couldn't help but find herself in awe of the woman's confidence, something someone doesn't develope when on the run from an entire religion. She looked at Hayzie, and tried to swallow any more fear she might have had. She looked at Hayzie, straight in the eyes, and repeated, "My name is Færys Saerreas... I mean Tiranas... I mean... I changed my name..."
This was already not going so well, again, so she stood up straight, and tried again, "My name is Færys Tiranas, formerely Saerreas, daughter of Simon Saerreas III, high priest of the Saerrean church. I was looking to take up a job at this establishment, as I currently am in need of a job. I would take any job you have to offer, yet... I would prefer to be able to sing for people... So, I wanted to be a waitress." She smiled slightly, finally feeling comfortable talking to Hayzie. "I have the grace of a dancer, and have been fond of it my whole life. I believe that this would help me not to spill drinks. If... you want me to tell you anything else, please ask." She hesitated for a moment, though not long, and reached out her hand to be shaken.

ooc: Sorry for delay!
bic: Hayzie allowed an empathetic smile to touch her lips. Another who had changed her name for whatever reason. Hayz only remembered her own normal name because of constant reminders. Posters on the roads were generally one of them, though the further she got from Renla, the less frequent they were. "It's a pleasure to make your acqauintance Færys."
It seemed the shy girl was multitalented. She could wait on tables while food was being served, and then entertain with singing and dancing in the evening. It could work out really well. "Just please don't tell me you're in some kind of trouble with the law?"

Færys looked at Hayzie stupidly. She almost wanted to say yes out of spite, but her features betrayed nothing of her sentiment. She simply shook her head, and said, "Unless you mean this, no." She produced a wanted poster with a picture of a ten year old girl with short hair. The picture looked remarkably like Fæ. The poster read, "Wanted for heresy against the High Saerrean Church, and practice of witchcraft, Færys Saerreas, ten years old." She dropped the poster on the counter, and looked at it thoughtfully, remembering the night she had fled from her warm bed and loving mother, into the cold of the night, sprinting until her lungs had burst. It was all too much for her nine years ago, but all too common now.
She figured that, this being Aesir, and not someplace else, Miss Roberts would not care about this kind of trouble with the law. It seemed as though no one cared about where you were wanted for witchcraft, here. She looked back up at Hayzie, and said, "This was me nine years ago. I was a cute little kid, no? My father was the high priest of that church. You would think that he would have taken my side, huh? Oh, well. It seems as though he wanted a boy to carry on the family right, and not me. I pilfered this poster from a wall in the second city I had ever set foot in." She smiled weakly, looking Hayzie directly in the eyes. It wasn't but one, however a tear streaked down her face. Her face was filled with the experiences of her past, such that even those who knew nothing of her, would read all without a single word spoken.

ooc: Sorry for delay! But I'm back!
bic: Hayzie's green eyes read the posted and her eyebrows shot up. Wanted for witchcraft. That was just magic, wasn't it? Unless there was something she had missed somewhere along the lines. Nodding in reply to what Færys explained to her, the blonde straightened up just in time for the girl to look her in the eye. She'd be able to cope, Hayz was sure, and who knew, maybe a little waitressing work would set her in line for that little bit more confidence.
Besides, this was Aesir, home of the Mage's, wasn't it?
Stretching a little, the only words out of the innkeeper's mouth were: "When can you start?"

Fae closed her eyes for a moment, before realizing that she really had nothing better to do at the moment, and so the best time was now. Besides, working as a waitress, she could gather rumors of any battles that broke out. She should probably start immediately. But, after all, this was Miss Roberts's inn, so she shouldn't act like the boss. She finally settled on her answer, saying, "I can start any time. Any time that is convenient. After all, I don't have anything else to do." She smiled politely, after summing up her courage to appear, at the very least, in control of her emotions. She waited for her answer...
OOC: Don't worry about it, Hayzie. I don't care how long I have to wait to finish threads, so long as the people I am RPing with actually HAVE the intention of finishing them. You seem to be a nice person, so I will give room to breathe. So, don't worry...

Hayzie smiled and nodded. "Fair enough. We'll start you off on breakfast Monday morning. Shouldn't be too bad. In fact, I think we're in for a quiet weekend," the innkeeper explained, pulling out her reservations book. "Four rooms booked, each with two people in. So unless we get any more, there's only eight people in on Sunday night."
Placing the book back underneath the bar, green eyes glittered at the prospect of having a member of staff to both train up, and toughen up a little. "I'm sure you'll be fantastic. And who knows, it might distract you from... other things... too."

"Other things?" Færys asked. She had no idea what other things this woman must be talking about. She only thought about her mother every once in a while, but more often than not she held anger at her father before sadness. "Well, I can start then. It would probably be good to get some money," She rationalized aloud. Her stomach emphasized the point by growling fiercely. "What was that?" She asked, as though what it had been was not obvious. She looked around, trying very pathetically to cover up her hunger.
