Shadow pulled in a small catfish. "Sure thing, i dont mind." He reached down and pulled the hook out of its mouth. Shaking his head, shadow threw the catfish back into the water after giving it three minnows. still shaking his head, he released the minnows and coiled up his line. He grabbed the trout and turned to napier. "you are a mage, you can summon fire, right?" he looked around. "because there isnt any sign of Paine, and this fish will go bad if it isnt cooked. we might have to go out and find her..." Shadows scattered thoughts became verbalized as he looked around.

Paine had came back from Finding firewood. She Was all scratched up but she had brought some wood back with her to the lake " here You got Shadow" she says to him standing there with the fire wood in her hand. "Sorry it took so long '' she says to him

Shadow looked up at her. "what happened? why are you all scratched up?" he ran up and took the firewood from her, laying it in a triangular pattern and stuffing some dead grass in the spaces between the logs. "Are you ok?" he looked back at napier and waved him over. "napire, you can start fires with magic, well, heres some practice for you if you'd like."

" I'm fine" she says to him " Just Ran THrough the Forest Alittle" she says lying she didn't want to tell the truth that she was being chased in the forest but then fought back to what it was that was chasing her. paine Stood there just watching shadow.

Napeir shot a flame out of his hand and the wood caught in a blaze" shadow, don't tell ariadne, but i'm not going to be a elementalist, i'm going to be a shapeshifter" napeir said stareing into the flames.

Napeir stared at the girl" it's good to know more then what you want to be, but a shapeshifter will be more helpful for himself and others"he said to lyra.

Shadow cleaned the other trout and put them both on the fire. looking up at paine, he shook his head. "you were confronted in the forest?" it wasnt really a question, more of a statement. "The trout will finish cooking soon. hope you are hungry."
