Shadow had been silent as they had talked, and now he decided to interject. "Again you mentions these elves. what are they?What is this war you speak of? who is this galbatorix? Is he an outlander? and what exactly is this Alagaesia? It is all very confusing." He shook his head. "And i still dont understand how you tamed a dragon.... you lucky sonofagun..." he sighed. "so many questions... not enough time in the world to answer them."

Eragon turned towards them and two lines of tears traced down his cheeks. "I don't know, cloud. How I wish I had never found the egg." He said, wiping away his tears, embarrassed. "The war... is for peace.Galbatorix is a King. He is the King of Alagaesia, my homeland. He overthrew the Riders more than a century ago, and now, he wanted me and Saphira. He will kill all Riders out of his control. He was a Rider too... and I still seek to kill him and take revenge on the Ra'zac for killing my father. For the rest... I have no ambition." Then Eragon turned and walked slowly along the edge of the lake, with saphira beside him, touching his shoulder gently with her snout. Oh little one. She said tenderly.
