Verdan allows himself to be pulled up by Ariadne, only to pull her out of the way of several rows of teeth that closed upon empty air. "Come on!" he pulled Ariadne in the direction that David ran off to. He head growls and yelps as the wolves pursued the pair. Verdan, turning around sharply, sent another wave of energy towards the wolves, knocking several of them back, stunning one of them. "Run!" he turned back around and pushed Ariadne in front of him, still running from the wolves, their pursuit not as ferocious as before.

Ariadne helped Verdan up and as soon as she helped him up a wolf was about to bite me when Verdan pulled me away. Ariadne smiled at him thankfully. And began to run as Verdan pulled her in the direction of Avaren. She then noticed Verdan was no longer beside her but fending of the ferocious creatures. She couldnt leave Verdan alone. They got in this together and they would get out together, not like that warrior. Ariadne spun around and sent a fire ball at a creature that was gaining up on them. The creature stopped and burned to ashes. She then began running again. Ariadne was watchful to see if Verdan was close behind and to see if the creatures were speeding up on them.

David slid to a stop to see that nothing was behind him. He sighed and shook his head and ran off the path and into the woods. He found a tree that was nearly dead and very old. It had been struck by a bolt of lighting and he surmised that with a few swings of his swords and then a power kick at a certain location would knock it down. That was when the noises started getting louder. The mages were now fleeing the scene too though they were having more trouble than himself. He sheathed one sword and gripped the other with two hands. He began to chop at the nearly fallen tree with all of his might. Eventually he began to hear the tree creek and lean towards the direction of the path.
David nodded feeling that it was good enough sheathed his other long sword and walked a few feet away. The two mages were close and only getting closer. It was as if he had never left that battle with the werewolves. He unslung his spear and prepared to use it like with pole vaulting. He saw another blast of some type of magic that signaled that they were past the tree. David ran as fast as his legs would allow him and stuck his spear in the ground. This caused him to sling upward and hit a higher portion of the tree. He kicked it with all of his might and felt the rotting tree give a snap signalling that it was falling. It gave a large crash as it landed on several werewolves. However, he knew that this was only going to buy them some time. He looked towards Verdan and Ariadne. "What are you guys looking at?!" he stated almost yelling, "RUN!!" Once the two had started ahead of him, David drew his two long swords again, one in each hand and followed them.

Verdan was running slightly behind Ariadne, who turned around to make sure he was there and if they were being followed. "Don't look back!" he called out to Ariadne. "It'll only slow you down!" he caught up to Ariadne in those few seconds that she had looked around. He nearly smashed into her, but managed to instead nudge her along the way. Seeing David up ahead hacking at a tree, Verdan thought to himself. Well, well... look who it is... and what the hell is he doing?.. Verdan saw the tree leaning towards the path. Is he serious?! I'm gonna kill that blasted traitor!! Thoughts of anger coursed through his mind as Verdan thought of ways to get away when the tree fell directly in front of himself and Ariadne, trapping them between the trunk in front of them and vicious creatures behind them.
However, the tree did not fall directly in front of him. He ran past it several steps as it collapsed behind him. Whimpers indicated that it had fell on top of a few werewolves, too. Verdan paused to look at the scene, but was cut off as David screamed at him to run. Realizing that this would only buy them a few moments of time, Verdan turned back around and also ran, pulling Ariadne along with him.

Ariadne heard Verdan yell out to her. Not too look back and such. The werewolves were gaining up on the both of them pretty fast. She then saw David up ahead trying to cut a tree down. "That coward." Ariadne thought to herself. As she ran she hoped the tree wouldnt fall on her and Verdan seeing as Verdan was right beside her. But instead of falling on her and squishing her it fell a few paces in back of them. So the tree fell on the werewolves. A smiled spread across Ariadnes face. Ariadne quickly turned around and threw a fireball at the tree with her right hand but the fireball didnt land on the tree but more ahead. She was about to throw another one but the Verdan dragged her along with him. "Perfect." Ariadne muttered as Verdan dragged her along. Since she threw the fireball with her right hand which was her power hand. The fireball will take long to extinguish. So when the werewolves manage to get up from the tree, they will get on fire. So that will give the trio extra extra time to escape.

David dodged towards the right and then the left avoiding Araidne's fireballs as he ran behind them. He shook his head as he could only think of why she would do something like that. The rain was falling as hard as ever so that fire wasn't going to stay that long because it lacked something to burn, but then again it was magic based and he didn't understand that logic behind the mysics. His swords were held in his hands as he ran behind them towards Avaren. He figured that it would be better for him to take up the rear rather than the front seeing as he was seemingly the naturally faster runner out both of them.
It was after some distance was covered that David slid to a stop. His eyes blinked several times over and then stared towards the part of the road that they were traversing upon. He hung his head and shook it as he realized that he forgot his spear back at that location. He turned his head to where the two mages were at whether if they had kept running or not was unknown to him at the moment. The rain had finally come to a halt and the sound of the wind passing through the trees gave a moaning sound. He had to go back and get his spear. He made up his mind with a final nod and then started running back towards where the tree had fallen.

Verdan resisted the urge to look back at the flames which danced about the fallen tree, providing with an additional defense against the creatures pursuing them. "Are you insane?!" he yelled at Ariadne. For one, she nearly killed David, but that was not Verdan's primary concern. "Do you realize the scale of a forest fire that will cause?!" Verdan, unwillingly took a glance back at the flames crawling about the ground, the creatures prowling about behind the orange-red wall.
Seeing David turn around and head in the opposite direction, Verdan was ready to kill someone. "I'm surrounded by psychopaths..." he muttered to himself before screaming the warrior's name. "David!! What in hell's name are you doing?!" he yelled as the spearman was turning around. "Do you wish to have an early end to your life?!"
